  1. We're still looking for a dedicated tank for HM and NiM content. If you've got the drive but not the gear, no worries, we can easily gear you out to tackle this stuff provided you're willing to put the time in to play a few nights a week. We're also still recruiting for all roles, so head over to swtortwat.guildlaunch.com and sign up or contact Nylos, Aegeta, Univectus, Eversio, or Vitty in game for more information.
  2. Guys... It's almost identical. The filigree is different and the base colors are a slightly different. This is what it looks like with a small recolor next to the cg image. http://i.imgur.com/CFGddUi.jpg
  3. Yeah, basically stat decay is natural to the leveling process so you'll need more stat for the same values just like before.
  4. I honestly don't know what was so hard to understand about that explanation. KP and EV are two instances that share the same loot looks... EC and TFB are two instances that share the same loot looks. They just explained that they're updating art tied to pairs of raids and, ironically enough, EC and TFB have even more of a tie together than KP and EV did since they essentially share a continuous story.
  5. Hey guys, I'm a guildless refugee from now-dead Veela looking for people to do end-game content with. I'm a very experienced raider, and on my Sniper main I've cleared everything up to HM Kephess (guild broke up before we downed him and right before the first server merges). My Sniper's name in-game is Achrus. I also have a few alts I've been kicking around: Vhorlus, my 50 Jug, and Kharnus my 40 Sorc I've been leveling. I'd love a chance to talk with you guys and see if you've got room.
  6. The 20 force I get from talenting Force in Balance usually is enough to sustain my dps, provided I'm not going crazy with non-infiltration tactics buffed shadow strikes or using project more than once every 10 seconds.
  7. Is the power relic/adrenal nerf technically a nerf though? Every class uses them, so numbers across the board will go down. I think this more or less normalizes the damage plateaus.
  8. It's actually refreshing to see some positive posts. I love this game, I love leveling in it, I enjoy the pvp, and the Raids, even with their bugs, are generally enjoyable. A lot of people like to dog on the lack of content in this game but compared to the big boy that I played prior to TOR, this game doesn't have the 1-85 grind content that wow does, but when you get to the end game, the only thing it really lacks is Arena (which I could take or leave as long as rated WZ's go in) and additional PVP warzones. As far as pve goes, we've got a ton of dailies (like WoW), a bunch of HM FPs (kinda like WoW when you get into the end game), and 3 raids to do with 3 difficulties on two and 2 difficulties on the current end-tier. WoW's end-tier currently has Firelands and Dragon Soul, which is broken into two raids... giving us about the same amount of content. Sure there's things I'd change and room to grow, but we're not even a year out. Overall I'm happy, I'm glad to see people coming back. Not consolidating the servers sooner really hurt this game and the reputation can only be salvaged with more stable content and a player base on each server sufficient to enjoy it. Thanks to transfers we're halfway there.
  9. I may be one of 5 people actually satisfied by the space mini game instead of a fully featured flightstick-required space sim. Don't get me wrong, that's fine, but sometimes blasting out missions ala starfox for 5 mins is what I want, and I hope that doesn't go away even if BW Expands into the sim system. My suggestion is to open up the space minigame (and possibly the sim if you decide to go that avenue), by implementing missions to raid ships/space stations/etc. The mission would have a space component: take out defense turbolazers, eliminate enemy starships, disable communications, etc. However, when the criteria was met, the second phase of the mission opens up into a starship/station in the same vein as a heroic quest, with applicable loot (can choose more fleet coms instead of loot options).
  10. I know it's been beaten to death, and I know the only current answer/solution given out by the player base is re-roll, but Bioware, you need to start coming forward with even a vague time table on when you're rolling transfers or mergers out. I love this game, I'm satisfied with the content, but even I'm having a hard time justifying my subscription until transfers come out. In the past 20 days or so, my server (Veela) has gone from having a paltry 40-60 people in fleet with 15 min pvp queues to having 32 people on server during prime time and endless queues because there isn't enough level 50 or sub 50's to be made into a match. My guild, for the most part, have all unsubbed their accounts (granted, there's only really 10 of us left at this point, but that eliminated the only reason to log on: Operations twice a week). Most of my guild expressed enjoyment with the game, but couldn't justify paying for it when the server is so dead there's no one to group with or fight and I'm forced to agree with them. The only real solution to this issue currently is to eliminate the progress that I've made on my legacy as well as the work I've put into my other characters and re-roll on another server. However, it was originally stated that you'd be offering select server to server transfers at the start of this service and then opening up the broader pay server. If that's the case, there's no guarantee I'll ever be able to merge my account unless I wait for the pay service and pay to transfer all my characters onto whatever destination server opens up due to the random and unknown nature of your free transfer initiative. Now, there's some talk of merging into larger servers (honestly, a better idea in my opinion as you can always activate new servers when the game begins to grow), which further exacerbates the issue of rerolling in order to enjoy the game while waiting for transfers. For those people who have stable populations, I'm sure the game is fantastic or enjoyable, but for those stranded on dead or deserted servers: the only feature we're asking for is to be able to group with players and either have our servers merged or transfer off (leaving a dozen or more completely dead servers for you to pay for, Bioware). The LFG tool, while interesting, has no impact on a dead server for obvious reasons. Please try to release a time table so I can at least know when to resub, seeing as there's nothing currently in game keeping me while there's no one to play with. Sorry for beating a dead horse with this wall of text, most will TL;DR this, but I needed to at least put my plea in writing. I love the game, I have faith in the game. I would just really like the ability to play with other people in a subscription-based MMO.
  11. Thanks for the feedback. I figured as much, just wasn't sure how huge of an impact expertise has. I'll just keep grinding and mix in some champ gear when I get up to the valor rank for it.
  12. I'm not sure if this has been covered so I'll post a new topic: I had to speed through the leveling process on my sniper to participate in my guild's operations. In a few weeks I've managed to kit him out in pretty much full Rakata gear. Now, I've always enjoyed pvp, and now that I don't have to level or anything I have time to queue. My question is: just getting into my valor ranks and being below level 50, which they recently made champ gear require: is it worth even buying the Centurion gear for the expertise even though my Rakata stats far outclass it or should I wait and buy the champ gear when I eventually hit Valor rank 50? I've got a pretty long ways to go and I don't know if the expertise will make a lot of difference in my dps/survivability.
  13. SWG Basically had no story. It had some theme parks with a overarching theme and a bunch of pointless grind quests. In the end, the only story for that game was one that you made up in your own head because the dev's couldn't be bothered to fix the glaring bugs in the game let alone put a storyline that affected anything. Essentially it was a more game-y version of second life with Star Wars grafted onto it. Lots of good idea, horrid execution and essentially no credible game element aside from the sandbox.
  14. Guarantee Revan isn't dead. Even the dialog at the end of the Imperial flashpoint mentions that there's no body "but we do need to confirm our kills, after all." When you "kill someone" and he doesn't crumple to the ground in a bloody heap but instead hovers in the air and mysteriously vanishes in a purple flash only to have someone obviously point out that he left no body... in the business of storytelling we call that "foreshadowing."
