  1. Ha, I'm in the completely opposite camp.

I find it so refreshing that there are NOT addons running the marketplace. I enjoy the volatility and learning the true worth of items through experience. Winning (and losing) as it goes.

If I wanted the "addon" driven market, I would go play WoW (been there, done that, and it's nowhere near as fun as what this market is).

  2. First off, DF was NOT an "instance" ... lol, did you even play DAOC?

That said, yes DF was one of the single most FUN PVP zones ever made. It is quite surprising that no developer has tried to emulate that in any game since.

  3. Please pay attention when using grapple. I heard of herp derps but today topped it off. Had a powertech grapple a enemy player into our goal line.

    Seriously powertechs, that's not cool.

You are right, that is nothing but PRICELESS!

  4. You can point me to whatever you want, but the fact is, the only thing I do is PvP. I'm one of the better players in the game and belong to one of the better imp guilds on The Fatman. I say this so everyone can weigh the information more carefully than just, I read an article on a fan site, so it must be true! Never mind that it was written well before 1.2 was even launched. Look hard enough and I'm sure it'll say somewhere that ranked warzones are being implemented as well in the patch.

Unless you know what you're talking about, which you don't.... I'd advise you not to give anymore advice.

This is akin to saying you are the richest man in the Congo ...

  5. Is it just me or does this game kind of remind people of WoW class balance wise from patch to patch?

No it actually reminds me of my DAOC days ... where cluelessly ... classes where nerfed into oblivion, or buffed way over the top.

36 hours and counting, and this nonsense will matter no more.

  6. srs

I have never played a game where the class system was completely balanced in pvp. To my amazement swtor fits this category perfectly.

The open world pvp system is revolutionary to say the least. I am constantly engaged and thrilled combating massive opposing players with basically zero lag what so ever in a zergfest fashion.

They are constantly updating new content to consistently rejuvenate new and old pvp fans. Without I might add intimidation to fresh level capped players that have limited pvp experience.

With such a bright future I cannot wait for what will be released in the future. I would implore those that only contribute negative comments towards the current system to take a moment to relax step back and examine the big picture. Its working as intended.

The first thing that came to mind as I read this post, what game forum did you copy this post from, and substitute the word "swtor" into. lol

  7. I mean it was so bad last night that on Civil War, we had captured Snow and Repubs at Mid and Grass, and we had to to leave 4 on Snow to defend while the other 4 tried to cap mid/grass, because this one sentinel and a healer could still kill all 4 guarding Snow.

Given that your team was competent ...thats beyond skill for this game. I mean seriously, 4 focus fire an unguarded healer, he's dead in seconds ... the sent is then left to his own accord, CC/Kite during his defensive cooldowns ... there is no excuse for any death in that situation.

If it was the class, then more folks would be doing it.

When someone goes THAT far ABOVE the skillbar, it just makes you wonder if we are in Denmark?

  8. Getting in the way of its success??? <gigglesnort> It's already one of the most successful MMOs in history.

<gigglesnort> and primed for one the most prolific fallings in the history of MMO's ... had it not been for the free month bridge over the quarterly report, it would have already happened.

By the time the next quarterly comes around, the initial "extended subs" will be closed, the free months will be gone, ... how many will be left, 200K? Which by and of itself, is still a pretty damn healthy subscriber number.

  9. The question is, what will those numbers look like after the free month giveaways expire?

You gotta figure that free month was to soften those quarterly numbers, and hope, that somehow, they pull a chicken out of their *** by the next quarterly report.

  10. First off there is no bracket system, Its just Level 50's and level 1-49. A bracket system must contain multiple brackets of levels. (Ie: 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50 etc).

All that is currently in place is a separation of the Top level from everyone else.

    Lets hear it for JANUARY!

  11. SO mister smart guy, who thinks opinions are facts, how do you suppose we fix em? Oh thats right, we nerf them down to ground so you dont have to 'Think' to kill them. And that will make the game better?

Like marauders have to think to kill anyone now? What does it take, 2, 3, maybe 4 keypresses ... whew thats a tough one johnnie.

  12. these threads fuel my marauder ownage.

Nothing has changed with marauders since day -7 we got some quality of life changes at best and at most our best spec got nerfed so TY to the op. L2P

Comments like that fuel my marauder tardage ... cuz yeah right, patch 1.2 hits, every marauder/sent becomes super skilled overnight and anyone they killed needs to l2p?

Keep smoking that good stuff man, we love ya!

Ops ran around talking about "skill" and l2p, and exploiting the triple opener .... I don't see any skillful ops around anymore?

  13. In a 24 hour period:

    1st quit - 15 minute warzone lockout

    2nd quit - 1 hour warzone lockout

3rd quit - 48 hour warzone lockout (get a new computer if you can't stay connected).

And it needs to affect the account, not the toon

  14. Have been in some WZs where literally no one votes for someone an MVP even though say that person tops the healing charts/dps charts/protection charts/etc. Just wondering why people dont vote it only takes 1 sec of your time AND its a way of telling that person "Hey you did an awesome job." That further encourages that person to continue playing well VS say if you dont that person feels like whatever it is he did doesnt mean anything to anyone. Just do it guys. Plus it feels good and makes you say "HEY IM MVP!" I know i feel good when I get voted MVP in a wz. :)

Words said in /ops chat speak volumes more than an artificial mvp vote.

Personally, I gave up on MVP votes when I constantly ran into premades, who voted one of their own MVP, regardless of anyone else in the the groups performance (said MVP often performing well below many other ops mates) ... the votes are meaningless.

As an aside, why in the hell, is there even an MVP vote for the LOSING team?

  15. The stun system in this game is completely wack. Diminishing returns is the only system that prevents someone from getting chained over and over again.

I know people hate to compare...but World of Warcraft did it correct with the DR system.

    Uhhh NO!

  16. ... At 50 if you let one big heal through it heals 40% of their HP bar and interrupting one heal can be the end of that healer....

    40% care to exaggerate much?

My 50 healer has 18K health, lets see

    18000 * 0.40 = 7200

I GUARANTEE you I dont drop 7.2k heals, or even anything remotely close to that in a wz.

  17. I am starting to find this annoying to skip thru this every time. Been doing it for 5 months now? Maybe a setting in the preferences that allows us to disable this and the 'press space bar to continue' thing.

This has been annoying since DAY 1.

Please give me the option of not viewing this crap, and not having to SPACEBAR it either.
