The Republic does try to be good, just as many people in America try to live up to the ideals of their nation, truth, justice, (equality?) but many are just greedy scum, who profit off of others, same with the Republic. The Empire is the same, only their ideals are different are revolve around gaining wealth and power, or something. Both have good and bad people. But on the whole the Republic is more white then the Empire.

Don't bother arguing with Walsh. He focuses on a few 'facts' that support him and ignores everything else. Also the Republic is built on racism and exploitation, it is a very good analogue of a blotted 20th century democracy, it says it's good, and many do try to live up to that but others don't.

It's not entirely impossible, though unlikely, that the Empire may conquer the Republic and then become 'Normanised'. For those who do not understand, after the Normans' conquered england they intermarried with the locals and were assimilated into the Anglo-Saxon culture. So it is possible the Empire wins the war an loses the peace, so to speak. Basically Sith win, then through both their own infighting and jedi actions, are destroyed, Imperial citizens, join the Republic and a generation or two later they are fully assimilated into the Republic. Thus explaining why the Empire has a Corusant accent, and that their raceism, which according to the OFFICIAL Atlas, was part of Core culture for millennium.

Don't forget ALL of the Imperial characters in the Original Trilogy. So maybe the Sith win and then bring their accent to the core.

I liked him, NINE YEARS AGO. Build a bridge, I think he cheapens the game just by being in it. At least we get to kill him, next maybe we can destroy his soul.

You know the really ironic thing is, according to the official Atlas, the 'Human-High' culture of the Empire was already part of Core world traditions, so the Republic should be the racist ones no the Empire. But as people have said, must take after movies, need to overly evil, ect.

I don't see why it couldn't be a group of jedi working with the republic who commit genocide, Or even the entire order, then they have "my god what Have done" moment and realise who dangerous the emotions can be. Things are not stagnate an order as old as the jedi would change over time, the genocide of the Sith would be a excellent event to provoke change

I love the SW "I don't do dramatic pauses" People in games do have a tendency to pause for dramatic effect more often then they do in real life.
