  1. First of all, this is going to be 99% spoiler free. I won't even mention the name of the final boss that your going to encounter but I'n sure you can guess who it is if you need to read this. But anyhow, I will just refer to him as 'the boss'. I won't be talking to much about actually getting to the boss because it is pretty much strait forward, the only thing I will is a small puzzle. Your Companion First things first, you need to get some gear for T-7, as he is a pretty big part of the fight. Now, I don't mean get him tricked out with some diamond rims and a gold plated blaster, but having a little bit of gear will go a long way. First things first is the blaster. Getting a good blaster isn't to hard, the trade market takes care of that. You can also buy one for 14 Voss credits. For the Parts, again you can look on the trade market. But if you have no luck for only 8 Corellia commendations you can get 2 parts that are VERY good. Invest. I actually had no motor nor a sensor unit. If you can find one grab it if not you can scrape by. The earpiece, implant and shield/generator can all be made or bought from the trade market, no problems their. Shopping List This is relatively easy. Everything you need is pretty near where the boss is. About a minute before you get to the boss room their is a medical droid. If you don't have any pick up some stims (either Strength, Presence, or Endurance depending on your taste (Endurance only for Defense Specs)) and some medipacks (which you should have about a dozen, I was practically wallpapering my starship with lvl 44 medipacks by the time I got to the boss. The Puzzle When your in the area approaching the boss, you will eventually find yourself in a big room with enemies dressed in red and this big weird red pattern on the floor. Now I don't see how anyone would need to use this guide for the puzzle its really easy and I would recommend attempting it by yourself first just so you can have some fun with it. Their are 6 pillars around the pattern on the ground and each one has a panel you can interact with on it. When you use the panel it will change 1/6 of the puzzle to make it look different. You will have to change all 6 parts of the puzzle to create the shape of the Imperial Insignia (http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100310071121/swfanon/images/f/ff/Imperial_Emblem.png). The Encounter Here we go, the final boss. The boss can be pretty tough if you don't know what your doing, but he isn't to straining. First, you of course want to use your stims if you haven't done so. When you first attack him, he will teleport to the bottom of the stairs your on (you will see when you get to the boss). After that, he will spawn about 5 adds that will die in one hit, but they can't be AoE'd. What I did (and this only works once every 60 (or 45 if your speced for it) seconds) is use Awe to stun them for 6 seconds. Since they need only 1 hit to die and they're standing still it shouldn't take to long to kill them all. After that the boss will start attacking again and you will occasionally start to cast some moves. Interrupt those, no big deal. They will usually be Force Lightning or something along the lines. Eventually he will do a move with a long cast time (the name of the move escapes my memory, but just look for the one with the 5-6 second cast). This movie is a buffed up force push basically. He will push you once he finishes casting and it seems to always be a 1 hit KO. BUT, this is actually really good. It gives a few seconds of solid DPSing to knock some health down and when he is about to finish casting interrupt it. He will spawn new adds just like before randomly and you'll need to kill them (once again if Awe is off CD use it). T-7 takes a lot of damage in this fight, I would recommend trying to keep him alive but maybe see if he can take some of the damage (having a mouse with a lot of buttons helps a lot with this but you can also hotkey taunts to your keyboard). Call On the Force is nice (but I wouldn't use it on your first go because of the CD), I would use your Saber Ward first though (so you get the health AND the cooldown), use Medpacks when needed (the fight shouldn't last 90 seconds so it won't be off CD even if you use it near the beginning), use Enure in the end but if your not near killing him their really isn't any point, after the 10 seconds is up your dead anyways (also I don't think sentinals even get the move). Make sure you always buff up before the fight. Its pretty easy once you understand it, using Awe and interrupts are the 2 most important parts probably. That's about it. If you have any suggestions for the fight than leave them in the comments. I did this as a Guardian Vigilance DPS so if you have any changes for different classes you think would work tell me and I'll make notes about it, but I don't see much of a change of plan for each class other than your DPS rotation. Same interrupts apply and Awe isn't a Guardian specific move unless I'm mistaken and those are your key moves. Anyways, I hope this helped.
  2. ya i interrupt him but i dont know which moves are the ones i should be putting my primary focus on, that move that makes copies seems dangerous i dont know if i can interrupt it or if theirs a way to kill them all at once or not
  3. I have killed the final boss and I have a small guide on it posted here http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=342411 Read that instead if you need any help or if you have any advice on changing it to improve on it. Mods feel free to delete this as it is unneeded.
  4. Well, I would like to see some improvements in the Galactic Trade Market.
  5. I'm level 43... like I said above...
  6. Well, I've been playing my Jedi Knight and I've been having fun with it but now I am at one of the most frustrating points in my career of being an awesome lightsaber wielding bad*****. I am trying to kill Commander Rayfel and I can not for the life of me get past him! Hes a part of the quest Death Spiral for everyone who has done it. I've been using Doc and I've tried other companions and they aren't doing any better. I've used Lord Scourge and Sgt. Rusk (they are the only other companions with any kind of gear besides Doc) and they fall short every time. I'm level 43 and I have been trying this since level 41, the quest is yellow on my list and I SHOULD be able to do it on paper. I'm a Guardian Vigilance DPS and I have decent enough gear. Anyone who was also having trouble with this and found a good strat please share, it would be great to finally get this guy. Thanks everyone!
  7. And you are really the only person here to give a good response other than saying 'Its about energy management'. Ya, no duh its energy management, I didn't ask to explain it. I said its to limited with your given energy regeneration and no one has really given a good response to that besides you.
  8. Healing has got to be the biggest problem because their isn't any 'No energy needed' healing spell like their is a damage. Energy consumption for healing isn't like DPS which is almost always constant in comparison. And people are acting like I want a new system, I just don't want it to be so limited. I want to be able to use more than 20% energy (AKA 1-2 attacks) without having to take a massive reduction to my energy regeneration.
  9. I cleaned the wording up a little and spaced it out a bit. Care to elaborate on your feelings on energy now?
  10. Well first of all, when I started playing this game I was a Jedi Knight and I had a blast. After a seeing some of the criticism this game got, I just didn't understand where they where coming from. Ya, its got its flaws, but I can think of only a small handful of games that could be considered flawless. Then I played an Imperial Agent and was like 'Ohhhh, now I get it'. From my point of view, the energy regeneration is completely bonkers. I don't have a problem with energy regeneration when its done right but this is just bad. For anyone who doesn't get what I'm talking about its this. The more energy you use the longer it takes for it to come back. And I mean, it takes FOREVER. Imperial Agents when above 75% energy regain 5 energy a second. But when you get to less than about 20%, you regain 1 energy per second. That is f'ing batty. I understand making it strategic, but this is just obnoxious. This sets such a huge limitation on energy wielding classes its really like saying 'OK you have 100 energy, but if you use more than 25 your not going to get it back' because its true. If your fighting a boss, your confined to not going below your 25 percent mark otherwise you wont be able to get your energy back'. And if you think I'm over exaggerating here lets do some math. Now, this might be a little bit off because I couldn't find the exact numbers, but assuming that your energy regen goes down 1 per 20 energy used it means 0-20 has 1 energy per second, 20-40 has 2, 40-60 has 3, 60-80 has 4 and 80-100 is 5. That means if you get down to 0 energy it takes you 46 seconds to get back to 100. That is a lot of time. I mean a lot, lot, LOT of time. And I know that this is to make it so people don't use all their energy, but that is just to drastic. Before you get the wrong idea, I don't think this is a completely horrible system, but it needs to be changed. I think that maybe instead of having it be 1-5 it should be 3-5. It keeps that level of strategy in there, but it also doesn't tie your hands behind your back. From 0-33 energy have 3 a second, from 33-67 have it be 4 energy and 67-100 have it be 5. Now, I know that their are some talents that will help with this. I know Agents get a talent that makes them get an extra 10 energy, and other classes probably get something similar as well and that does cushion the blow, but your hands are still tied non the less. I also admit I could be wrong, and that it could get better somehow the farther you get into the game, but right from the get-go I was having a lot of fun with my Jedi but by the time I was level 10 on my Agent I had to concentrate really hard to keep my hands from wrapping themselves around my throat. So, if you have a good counter to this then, and in all seriousness, please tell. I want to be able to play an Imperial Agent, but I'm not going to play him just because he has a good story. So, yes, if you have a good defense to this than do tell, but if you don't than don't than don't try to just find some terrible excuse to try to defend it. I admit I could be wrong, and you need to admit you could be, too. Anyways, have fun all and have a good day.
  11. I'm just wondering why people hate EA so much? Considering the majority of what they did is put in a ton of funding for the game, I would say that the EA intervene is a good thing. People always complain about Electronic Arts being a bad publisher, but I think that they have made (or at least taken part in the creation of) some really nice games. Just to name a few, the older Battlefield games, Dead Space (not my cup of tea, I don't find it scary but I still think its a good game), Command and Conquer, Skate, The Sims (and I know lots of computer nerds here might say that Sims is a bad game because they deem it only for 'casual gamers' and that it is somehow beneath them. I have been playing video games since I was 5 and I found Sims 3 to be a great game), and, not to mention, Mass Effect 2 which was a substantial improvement over the first, an already great game. I wonder if Bioware would have been able to even finish the game without EA, TOR is the most expensive game of all time according to experts with estimates of 125-200 MILLION DOLLARS! Bioware has some nice sales but EA's big fat publisher money is almost endless in comparison. I won't lie, joining with EA has probably had some negatives. I hear DA2 suffered from it, but I also know that nerds will, by large, complain about anything that is different or less than they expected. DA2 might not have been as good a game, but I doubt it was as bad as people would make it out to be. Also, EA obviously didn't rush the game at all. The launch might have been a little buggy but I don't see how an MMO can't be at launch considering the scale it is created on, and EA not being a the publisher wouldn't have reduced them. Bottom line, EA has, in my opinion, been a positive when it comes to the development and publishing of TOR. It has helped them gain more spending money for making the game and has spread the word nicely. Also, and think about this. World of Warcraft is the number one MMO on the market by subscriptions. World of Warcraft is made by Activision Blizzard. Considering Activision Blizzard is a part of Activision and EA and Activisions are the feuding publishers in the fight for supremacy in the video game market, wouldn't it be in EA's best interest to make TOR the best it can be in an effort to divert WoW players over to their product? Just think on that next time you make a post about how EA is the video game equivalent of the offspring of Satin and Freddy Kreuger.

    PvPing in 1998

Also, either your the real troll or moron cause in 1998 Halo wasn't even out, in 2001 when it did come out it was for Xbox and when it came out in 2003 it was so dated it could be ran on twigs and sticks. So either you can afford to hire a team of all the smartest scientists in existence to make you a time machine to send you back to 1998 with a copy of Halo but still can't afford a decent computer and internet to go with it OR your a troll. I'm guessing on the latter.

I second that. Hes probably some idiot who thinks that a $1500 computer from 2005 will still hold up.
  14. I was just wondering, based on you guy's personal experience, who is the better for PVP, Empire or Republic? I played a little in the beta and the Sith destroyed the Republic every time but that was a while ago, back when things where the world was primitive. So, has it changed at all? Or was the Sith ever really that much better, I just had bad luck (or maybe was so unbelievably bad I dragged my whole team down ). Thanks for the advice!
  15. Because user scores are biased opinions. Fanboys and trolls make up a majority of the gaming part of the internet, or have you not been paying attention? I look at Metacritics professional score usually because they tend to be more unbiased but even still, that have been wrong before.
