I'm an old guy that has loved playng games since games had balls and flippers. I don't think I'm alone...
Yes I have memorized the position of 20+ actions that I've bound to keys all over my keyboard.
Yes I have bad eyesight and can't really read all that small print telling me who I'm after. (usually I just look for that tell-tale lightning)
Yes it's absolutly possible to steer with my mouse and hack at the buttons on the $1100 computer I needed to run the game.
But if there is a macro system that I can use to avoid burning a hole in my keyboard there where my interupts are clustered, due to the 6 times I've hit one to catch the timer on time, why would it be benificial to bang away when i can get those actions to go off in the same order at the same time with less effort?
It is up to the user to decide which is more their taste for play. If I make a macro set that isn't working then your button pushing will surely be a better choice.
I don't want carpul.. anything. I don't like mashing buttons. I like to use my head in my games.
Where is the argument? My gear makes me decent, coffee makes me a manic button masher. Will there be an outcry to ban coffee drinkers too?
Noooooooo.
I love coffee as much as games, please no
