The afterglow lasts for different periods of time for different people, it didn't take long for the newness to fade into annoyance and the realization that I didn't like the game.

When will other crafting skills with get overhaul?

Have you visited your trainer lately?

This happened to me the other day, same thing. Plus today on a different character I have another crew skills bug, I learned biochem, bioanalysis and diplomacy but instead I have Treasure Hunting, bioanalysis and diplomacy. I can't get rid of Treasure Hunting because it says "unknown crew skill."
