  1. I noticed the same thing and was hoping that all the sniper rifles I've had dropping would come to some use. Sadly they are vendor fodder. On the bright side, he does do great dps.
  2. Slight bump, has anyone else seen or had these errors?
  3. Since getting into the early access I've noticed several errors that carried over from the beta. As I could not find a bug page and the Customer Service forum seemed innapropriate I will post them here. I'm hoping that someone on your bug team can take a look at these and get them fixed. Some are simply cosmetic, others are frustrating, but nothing has been game breaking. 1. Sniper Rifles continue to drop as green and blue items from MoBs on the Republic side. This occurs in both the standard play areas and class story areas. Which can be frustrating since it seems certain story MoBs have a much higher chance of dropping a blue and you end up with a Sniper Rifle. 2. Commendation Vendors: Every commendation vendor I've come across shows both Republic and Empire items. Meaning that the Sniper Rifles are still here as well. It would be great if these were either removed or the filters worked to show only items your character could use. 3. Story Graphical Errors: During certain cut scenes armor, face and/or eye textures have been turning milky black or semi-transparent on multiple occasions. It seems purely random but we know this has happened on my account, my wife's and several friends. The only common link we've seen is that we all use nvidia, but different models. 4. Graphical Error in Tatooine: For some reason there is an error near the Speeder Bike Vendor in Anchorhead. The error appears as you approach and is normally green or gold. It appears at a 45 degree angle from the edge of the tent to the base of the ground and sometimes cuts through the vendor platform. Not sure what causes it, but happens 50% of the time and others in the zone said they experienced this same error. 5. Diplomacy: For some reason I seem to be getting companion gifts that don't seem to fit any Republic side companions. I know that certain items like the Empire items work with the Trooper companion. However I am getting off items like camping gear and lizard tails. Which are getting either +0 affection or very low affection from a variety of companions. I wouldn't mind as much if they stacked, or we could feed them to our companions as a faster rate, but I wonder if I'm getting certain items that only the Empire companions really like. The link here being the Sniper Rifle drops I've seen Republic side. Now I know that companions might be able to use a Sniper Rifle. (Although I haven't come across one yet.) The drop rate just seems too high if that is the case and seems odd given that no character classes can use them within the Republic. I'm hoping that these help and someone within you team can see these and appreciates the ongoing reports of bugs and errors. Merry Christmas Bioware, you'll need a lot of eggnog after the next few weeks.
  4. http://www.swtor.com/news/news-article/20111021 Collector’s Edition: In addition to the items included in the Digital Deluxe Edition, the Collector’s Edition of Star Wars: The Old Republic includes the following items. Mouse Droid. This mouse droid, custom-skinned for Collector’s Edition owners, serves as a faithful pet that will follow you as you make your way across the galaxy. Collector’s Edition Store. At launch the Collector’s Edition Store will be available to those who have the Collector’s Edition of The Old Republic, and will feature items found nowhere else in the game! The Collector’s Edition will be stocked with exclusive social items for yourself, and unique appearances for your companion. The store will also have regular updates to give players incentive to keep coming back. I hope that helps! If the amount of speeder bikes, social items, clothes and other things in the game are any indication. Then I have faith in Bioware's ability to add fun items for the CE store on an on-going basis.
  5. Let me web search, it's been awhile but that was a key selling point for me. Brb.
  6. The CE vendor is an ongoing perk. Which means you don't just get the starter items, they will continue to add things as the game matures. As for the beta videos, I would disregard them. So many little things have changed already and there is still fine tunning to be done. Even if the glitch is there for Trooper only items, I would expect a quick fix and turn around. I never bought a CE for an MMO before, not even WoW which I beta tested for vanilla. This is the first one where I snagged the CE and I think the in game perks alone are worth the money in the long run. How many folks don't want a holo-recorder for when people die to an elevator boss? Or a holo-dancer while the raid leader explains the next boss fights? These flavor items are pure win and far better then a mini-Diablo. =)
  7. All popular MMO releases go through this and balance out later. Just take this as a growing pain that you'll have to accept. Once the population spreads out in levels and Bioware continues to fine tune things internally they the wait times will dwindle or dissappear. I picked a less then optimal named server for this very reason and still went to very heavy last night. My perk is a wife at home to get me logged in while I commute home.
  8. Go into option and add in your bottom action bar. For tanking I use buttons 1-11, Q,E,R,T,F,G,V normally. This gives you a lot of key binds and with my Merc Stealth keyboard makes reactions seamless. I sometimes branch out to my mouse buttons, but not as much and normally reserve "Oh Poop!" buttons for the mouse. As for the abilities, I use them all. Having done a decent amount of tanking in beta as a Shadow and a Vanguard, you'll use them. Certain bosses have PbAoE dmg that needs to be kited. Others go stationary but cannot be approached for <x> seconds for various reasons and so on. During these times you'll really want to use abilities like Pulse Cannon to keep threat high. Or as in the case of Hammer Station, Explosive Blast to knock off the adds. Range is also a factor if you find yourself needing to face a boss one way, but need to get aggro of 2+ adds with ranged. I hope this helps, but don't drop abilities, find ways to use them.
  9. Haven't had this bug myself, so yay there! Managed to reverse engineer up to blue and purple regularly now.
  10. Only person can scan each MoB or corpse/plant, etc. I've only ever seen each creature/plant only have one use or scan as well. The bad part is that anyone can scan something you've just killed if it doesn't have loot on it.
