Yeah, it's kind of dumb. I play to win, not to farm medals, and so I usually end up with 300k+ heals and yet only 3-5 medals, which is a medal count easily achievable by even the most herp-derp DPSer.
Sure, I can shoot stuff, and defend objectives, but my #1 priority is to keep my team up and in the game.
To me, the number of medals awarded seems a bit off. For example, once I hit 75k healing I can get another medal by (1) doing 225k additional healing (2) hitting 1 guy for 2500 damage or more, or (3) stealing a death blow. Which of these is most helpful to my team?
I think the 300k damage and healing mark should award 3x what it does now. Alternatively, there could be more medals in between, for example at 150k and 225k.
Also, I would really like to see more types of medals aimed towards healers. A good example would be a 'savior' mechanic, where a 'save' is a heal on a player that would have otherwise died within the next 1-2 seconds. Then you award medals for 1 save, 5 saves, 20 saves, etc. The details of how this is determined could get tricky, but I think it's doable in a way that brings healing medals more in line with the rest.
