  1. They're in a lose lose situation with you. If they'd given you a date and couldn't meet it because of server load issues or whatever you would have contacted the BBB anyway.

BBB doesn't agree with you. I'am actually on the phone as I type this with someone who has called me back in less then 2 hours of making the complaint. Funny, there telling me, if they have placed themselves in a position to take money for 'non-finished' product, the rules of post sale still apply. Due process and notice, must be given. Even excluding the two 'extra' days, I'am still waiting for specific confirmation for the 5 days. This information has yet to be provided to me. As I have given them money, they can hide behind all the terms and conditions they want, it doesn't change the fact I have every right to ask, no demand these answers. You answer is ask for a refund. I also have every right to go ahead with my purchase, and look into all options of compensation for this outrageous business behavior.

  2. They don't have all the facts or you didn't give it to them. It's not a condition to the presale, They could have not given us early access at all. It's a bonus. I guess I'm going to let this drop though because I'm not sure if I want to talk to someone who calls the BBB about a bonus 5 days early access to a MMO.

Again, I called on there lack of information. Not on the specif amount of time. I calling them out on a bogus promotion, filled with all sorts false advertising.

  3. Its amazes me that people are contacting the BBB because they don't have their early

    access. It really does.

    Truly amazing...

No, I contacted them because they have yet to inform me of the missing piece of the promotion. When I can log in. I don't care if its 2 hours before it comes down. The respectful proper business model, would have been information. Instead its been dis-information.

  4. None of this explains how paying $5 down is a scam. I don't know why you're talking about scams anyway when you're trusting enough to pay $80 for something that didn't even have a release date.

You really should calm down with the name calling as well. We're all adults here, or at least should act like them if we're not, we can discuss this without name calling.

It is a scam, do you know how many people never refund or ask for that 5 dollars back. I made almost 6, 000 dollars last year, out of one store. By people not cancelling or picking up preorders. Or how about the 13 full pay copies of MW 3 iam holding still. 1/2 of which will never be picked up. All just free money and interest in the till. It is a scam, I have weekly conference calls on how to 'scam' you out of money.

  5. If you CHOSE to pay for something that did not exist yet I doubt that the BBB would consider that a binding contract. In addition you can still cancel and receive your money back.

You know nothing. Call them, see for yourself. I don't have to prove a dam thing to you. They agreed with me, and probably the thousands of others that have called about offering a service as 'condition' to the presale, and then providing non communication back about specific times and dates for the condition. Its like winning a trip, and being told you have to leave tomorrow. Just because you do not see how this is dirty pool, and are willing to accept any form of treatment means little to me. You come here in the hope's of squashing some fellow customers opinion or expression of their purchase, all so you can seem like your on Bioware's side. Grow up, they don't care what your 3rd party thinks about this primary parties complaint. It would be in line with me looking at the guy behind the customer in front of me, and asking if he agreed with his complaint, as form of validation. Realy? No Realy? That's how you think this works?

  6. You're just full of nonsense.

And your just full of non facts. Again, origins statement of purchase, 79.99, visa statement of purchase, 79.99. By choice, YOU choose to put 5 dollars down, I choose to pay in full. :) Do you see the difference here. And FYI, I've had full pay clients for this game going back 2 years. So yes, retailers, both online and in store have been taking full payments for this game for a long long time. And second, Bioware does get the money you twits. The retailers pay bioware for the product they are selling you. Again bioware contacts a 'BUYER' with the retailers, determines how many copies they want, charges them (the retailer), who in turns charges you for money they already paid to bioware. Perhaps learn how business works before you comment.

  7. Yes, but that money went not to BioWare, so shush. It went to the store you bought it from. That's what he was trying to say.

You mean it went to EA's Origins. Listen folks, you can pay in full anytime you want. I just logged into my Origin's account. Paid in full. Just because you had and 'option' to only put 5 dollars down. I didn't see the need, the price of the game is about 1/2 an hour's pay for me.

Holding a visa statement for July, Charged 79.99$ by Electronic Arts, by choice. Learn to read.

  8. I'm not sure what you're talking about because I've only been charged $5 since July and won't see the full amount charged until next month. Did you order the CE? That might be why you were charged full amount up front.

I just got the digital copy and put $5 down and haven't paid anything since.

Then that'st he option you choose, the 5 dollars down. I paid in full. As have most of my clients. 5 dollars down was a scam to get those uncertain, hooked. Age old gaming marketing ploy. EB Games/Gamestop has been doing it for over a decade.

  9. If they charged you more than 5 dollars then you need to contact whoever you bought it from.

umm, no I don't. Because I paid in full day one through origins. I even have a confirmation email of purchase from both origins and visa. I think you need to go re-read your sale log. They only thing that won't get charged is your 30 days prior to the free 30 days. You are quite mistaken.

  10. Except they haven't taken your money yet and won't until the 20th. If a company has then you need to contact the BBB about THEM and not Bioware.

Umm, the second I 'charged' my visa, the money came off my Visa. So yes, they did take a payment. And yes, I have bought and paid for the game already. I have a 3 month old visa statement. I'am not sure what your talking about.

  11. I shall aim the same "reading" comment back at you fella.

No where did I accuse him personally of whining.

I said "people" will whine which is what they have been doing since the forums came up and over on Twitter.

If you read allot of the post/threads, Sir, most of them make reference to the way in which notification is being handled. Not the amount of time for access. If you making statement, 'people', you have indeed labeled the OP as whining. Or is he not a person?

  12. The way they handle it leads to 'false advertising with fraud suspicion'.

But we all know how it is.

That's how the business bureau labeled it when I contacted them. They have received many complaints. 'The law UP TO' does not cover when money changes hand. As soon as they took a payment, the word UP TO means nothing. They have an obligation to define out the terms of the contract. This includes date and times of condition. The agency didn't think being told a time frame over a week was proper. I made my peace. If enough complain, Bioware will have to make theres.

  13. Totkjal said it but i'll answer anyway..

I meant they didn't have to offer it in the first place. It's not in with the price of the game, people that won't pre order will pay the same as us so we didn't pay any more to get in the game early.

But not only was early access offered but it was increased by 2 days, yet people are whining.

If they had let everyone in and the servers crashed, people would be whining.

Long story short, people will whine no matter what happens.

Unhelpful comment but deal with it. They won't go any faster and it will just lead to people making snarky comments back at the folk complaining.

No where does he whine about the time. Perhaps you should learn to read. Asking for a notice, in a business world, is not unheard of.

  14. BW went to the trouble of sending people information in advance about getting into the BETA weekends.

BW went to the trouble of sending guilds information in advance about what servers they were assigned to

BW didnt bother to go to the trouble of telling people what day they are likely to get into Early Access.

This is both ironic and completely stupid.

BW have access to account information that records when people redeemed their codes: Check

BW have access to the amount of codes that are redeemed: Check

    Logical Deduction.

Determine how many people you intend to let in per wave or day and divide the total number by that.

You will end up with a pretty rough estimate of when people would get in and be able to e-mail that in advance. Add an extra day if you want a margin for error.

People are going to be more pleased with potentially getting in EARLY than late and you would get praised for people getting in early. Instead your screwing people into impatiently waiting on the edge of their seat with no ability to guage when they will get i at all.

^ Not even the fan boy's can argue with its logic.

  15. Wow, I missed the forums ha ha ha....It is amazing to me how much people are crying and whining! The EGA has only been going for 2 hours and the sky is falling????

Relax...take a deep breath...and learn to READ!!! sheesh lol

Ignorance in a customer service complaint thread.

  16. Bioware should bump these agro childrens accounts to the back of the early access list.

As a father of three, working full time, owner of a house. I have very little time as it is. To simply dismiss the heart of the issue, as troll or baby. We'll sorry that in my eyes makes you all babies. Adults have commitments, a notice of even 72 hours would have gone along way to calm the anger, and rightly so, allot of CUSTOMERS are feeling. It takes me a week in advance to plan a couple hours of peace and quite to myself. Having zero for hand knowledge is the real problem, and it shows total lack of caring or concern for 'some' of their customer base. I've already placed an email and phone call to the better business bureau. I can assure you, I am not alone in that list of complaints to the agency. This entire promise of early access stagger, fine, I get it. Not being decent enough to tell your customers lining up outside your door for a week long sale, when you even open is simply.... ignorant. This behavior is simply shameful. If any other situation in the real world, all of you would have walked out of the store by now as sign of your displeasure. But you take it, because it's ok. We'll from a customer satisfaction stand point, it is not. Not even close. This is not a threat, merely stating point of fact. To give no notice, at all. In 20 years of selling video games, I can think ZERO instances of this being done. I can assure you bioware, there are many many many upset people about this issue, that I speak to daily. This is not a simple ignore it and it'll go away. Get your act together.

  17. They are...

A 140 character post is much quicker to compose than a large sticky.

And both should be typed and ready to go at the same time. Or not at all. But Greg has updated, and I thank him for that. But like all things cell phone, facebook and twitter. Great Idea... put your phones down and get to work.

  18. Thank you for being someone who puts something productive up. I am now watching his twitterness even though I am not on twitter.

    Cheers mate.

Doesn't change the fact. If you can comment on one medium, you should be making comments on all your mediums.

  19. I cannot stand it myself. That being said, there is a line of standard communication available. I would ask your higher ups not simply leave updates to the twits of the community. We would all like to see comments. I would ask you either post in both mediums, or stop posting on twitter totally. It is both insulting and very unprofessional to those of us that care not for that medium. You have a web site, and forum, if it's good enough to comment on twitter, it should be here as well. The lack of before hand knowledge (Early Access) and this tactic of communication are terrible signs of customer service.
