I sympathize with them regardless of the warning.
It doesn't take a genius to understand that when you take more than 1 million people and give a majority of them a piece of free candy that the people who didn't get the free candy are going to be upset.
If they're bothering you, ignore them. Being condescending with them because they want to get the same free treat that you did definitely isn't helping though.
I sympathize as well. Condescending, hardly. Truth often times hurt. One single word, that's it. All this over a single word. I feel sad for them more them I sympathize actually. So many things in this world to be 'upset' about. Sadly most don't even care about them. The game is more important. That is at heart of this. Some people are just not happy unless they stand up for all to hear demanding their honor restored. I get that. But I just had my Lawyer wife read the email. The ambiguity of the opening statement 'one' and 'loyal', are indeed correct. The use of the word 'one' gets them off the hook, legally. How do those upset know they are not the 'other one', just with no freebie for being said one. Does it mean they value them any less. Certainly not. And to think otherwise is merely childish. Not being a child, but behaving like you.

Oh not I. I could care less. If they didn't want me as a customer they wouldn't take my credit card each month. After reading the other thread. I'm just fully convinced there are allot of rebels without a cause out there. And this 'cause' is right up their narrow alley.

Another 'Truth'. This is why we don't get daily statements or updates from game companies. If they make a mistake in the wording, some take them to the cleaners. So while your waiting for your updates, sorry, you will just have to wait longer.....the statement is currently in legals department having each word poor'd over.

Not if your gonna quit over this. I think they hit the promo right on the head. I came back for 1.2 after taking 1 month off. (Pre order, launch etc etc) I decided not to renew any of subs last month. I came back for just 1.2! It wasn't what they made it out to be, so as a level 50 I felt slighted by the bait and switch? Not a having a 50... did you?

I have followed this game for years.
I have promoted this game to my guild for years.
I gathered my guild for the pre-launch.
I asked my guild officers to stay when they got bored.
I log in almost daily for at least a small amount of time.
I am a huge fan.
I do NOT have a level 50 and neither does my guildmaster husband.
This is the thanks we get? Really?
Well the good news is this promo was not for your purpose, as you didn't have a level 50. Maybe next time.

Then you are not playing this game for the right reasons if certain members of the community get something you don't. If you expect to get rewarded for something that is not a constant reward then you are not playing this game for the right reasons. Did I get the free 30 days? Yes, so did my wife. Would I have been upset if I didn't? Not at all, the fact that you are disheartened about it tells me that you have a sense of entitlement and refuse to acknowledge that BioWare cares about it's player base to begin with.
Bingo. That's right Bioware hates you all. They are not running a business but a personnel grudge company. Give me a break. The entitlement that exists in this thread is beyond silly.

I have already said it many times, but, just for you, I will say it again: You can not measure value by ones level. To claim a reward is given for loyalty and have something COMPLETELY unrelated to it be the metric by which it is judged is not right.
Level 50s given free time = Fine.
Level 50s being given free time because of their level judging them as "most valuable" = Not fine.
You disagree, that's cool. I do not hate SWtoR. I do not hate BW. I do not hate EA. However, I do hate the way this "promotion" was worded.
So in other words, you merely need an excuse to feel somehow slighted, by accident or on purpose. It doesn't matter. Your acting like a child in a department store. Maybe I should get mad at World of Tanks, because they gave a free tank to those that already had that one when they did their 7.2 update, and I only had the tier bellow so I didn't get anything. Makes sense. I WASNT LEVEL 50!

Life's not fair. They in all likely hood will give you what you want. I hope it costs so much the next patch doesn't come out for 5 months because of the lost revenues. Be careful what you wish for.

I love star wars lore. Never played wow. I also think bioware has gone to crap over the past 5 years.
And these delays are taking FAR FAR too long.

Not everyone is getting 30 free days. I've been here since Launch. Yet I don't have a level 50. Why you may ask is because I have rolled on 3 servers. I left the first for personal reasons, I left the second when server pop. dropped below an acceptable level. On the second I actually have a level 49. And I haven't been on the third long enough to have a 50, though I am close I have a level 42.
Anyways my point is I won't get 30 free days cause I don't have a level 50 yet. You had to have a level 50 to get 30 free days.
Neither in the email, or any official responses do I see this statement. "You must be level 50" Stop making up disinformation.

The more I read the responses, more I'm convinced that there are two distinct members to this community. Those that want this to be wow in every aspect. And those that like Star Wars (Not limited to only games but action figures as well!) and are willing to accept a delay or two. I'd rather wait 3 years for a fix for my lightsaber, then play one day with panda monks jumping around my screen.

Internet access getting blocked is different from servers rolling back. NY Stock exchange does hundreds of transactions per second. If their server rolls back even for a few minutes, the whole exchange will crash and burn. Imagine the millions of dollars lost in lost transactions and bogus claims.
Who cares. I know I don't. I know I'm going to make a coffee, go out into the garden today, instead of tomorrow. Perhaps ill clean out my pool. Make another coffee. And you know, get on with my life. Thanks.

Obviously you are not in IT nor know what an SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) is. You should also research the idea of Agile vs the Waterfall PM Models as well.

I have actually worked on databases before. Can you imagine if this was a banking server? Can you imagine the legal ramifications if a banking software rolled back even for a few minutes while their DBMs were trying to patch the server?
Actually my banks internet access went down a couple weeks ago for an entire weekend. All I got was an apology. Good enough. What, were they supposed to give me something? There are no gaurantee's in life.... none.

Enough is enough. I've cancelled my subscription twice already, but always found my way back. I really do want to enjoy this game. I really, really do. But with some people getting a free month apparently at random, Bioware not caring about us customers, patches introducing more bugs and glitches than they fixed, important things like a LFG-tool and the Legacy-system taking months to add, flashpoints being dead, Flashpoints being boring and pointless after the initial, actually good FP, companion quests being so bugged it's not possible to complete them and so on and on, I've had enough. For the first time since I got the game, I've uninstalled it and will not be back. Thank you, BioWare. You have gone from the Kings of RPGs to a mediocre game developer, and now finally so far down that I'm extremely skeptical to buying anything from you again. Way to go.

Lol at "first" screw up. I can name at least 20. My issue with this game is the **** performance and mirco-stuttering that STILL isn't fixed. I love playing with 20FPS in WZs with a HIGH-END computer.
Sorry YOU are having those issues. I never did, none of the guild does. I suggest calling or taking your pc into a shop. Perhaps you have a compatibility issue. Or a piece of other software causing issues. No. Uninstal and move on. If you have an issue with what I said, then I say your issue is not with bioware, or me, but with your own attitude. Thanks.

Yeah like the patch which fixed soa or the patch which fixed the pylons. Being here since day 1 doesnt mean anything if you dont play ...
