  1. Sounds good. I think I was playing pyrotech before I quit. Thanks!
  2. Hey guys. Just got back into the game after a good 5 or so months off. I was thinking of picking up my BH to play. He is level 19. Just curious what the best spec is for leveling. Mainly just solo questing and the odd warzone here and there. Thanks for any info.
  3. I play pretty casually so I am not to up in arms over the problems so far, but from what I can see it almost seems like BW should be focusing on fixing the server issue before worrying about a big content update (like 1.2). Some of the stuff in 1.2 sounds great (ie. for me the competitive PvP), but on most servers these features really aren't that exciting when the pop is so low. Competitive PvP won't be that competitive on dead servers, etc. and new instances aren't that exciting when it's hard to find a group. Anyways my .02.
  4. I just re-subbed this week after reading about the competitive warzones in 1.2. Decided to give my scoundrel another go, but problem is my server has hardly any Republic left. In Fleet the other day there was 17 people. Hopefully they figure out a way to fix this as I the competitive warzones sound great, but I can't see them getting off the ground on servers with no pop.
  5. Umm yah. To get the gear so you can compete like you did in the 10-49 bracket again.
  6. Hi guys. Wasn't sure where to post this. I am leveling a BH and really don't want to do all the non-story, etc quests again. Has anyone just leveled doing warzones and their story quests? Maybe some instances here and there? How did it go? THanks!
  7. on the flip side my Imperial Agent helped clean out the rebels in Balmorra and then my Smuggler goes there and kicks the Empire off the planet.
  8. Hutball: 2 Voidstar: 10 (best warzone/bg ever. so fun.) Ald: 7
  9. In a lot of the writing about Malgus it is said that he is an incredible physical specimen. Incredible strength and the inability to feel pain. He was probably one of the only force users that would have been able to survive that attack.
  10. Yup. All 3 cinematics had Malgus. His battle with Shan was how he got alot of his facial damage. He did survive that blast from her in the rock and escaped the planet. "Malgus survived the encounter and was picked up by his personal shuttle.[5] Frustrated and enraged by the defeat, he payed little attention to his wounds. His breathing sounded like a rasp over wood. His skin stung from burns. His lungs were damaged. Lacerations and contusions made a grim mosaic on his flesh.[5] However, Malgus felt no pain.[5]"
  11. I don't think so. That was probably earlier in the war. Look how young and un-scarred Malgus is in that cinematic. She was probably just a Jedi Knight then.
  12. I don't think they mean to imply that everyone is Sith. It's just the name of the Empire is the Sith Empire, so it's a natural nickname. If the Republic was called the Jedi Republic, people would call the Republic 'Jedi' for short, even though not all are Jedi.
  13. Scoundrel DPS is always going to be close ranged. As a scrapper you are pretty much 90% melee and as dirty fighting you get a bit more CLOSE ranged attacks but not enough to consider you ranged DPS.
  14. Has there been any talk of making Hutball Imp vs Rep only? My Republic characters get Voidstar and Alderaan 95% of the time (which is great because I don't like Huttball), while my Imperial characters get Huttball 95% of the time. Seems because of the higher Imp pop and the fact that there is no faction rule, Imp's get funneled to Huttball. While I would not look forward to more Huttball on my Rep characters, I would really enjoy some more Voidstar or Alderaan on my Imp characters.
  15. i soon realized as a scoundrel i really don't need a tank. it's better the just burn things down with Risha or the crazy bounty hunter girl. Things of course might be different with a GS, but with pugnacity (with quick recovery) and my heals, and burst, I prefer a DPS companion.
  16. This is the first game where one side is evil and the developers go to great lengths to show it and the other side is more 'grey'. The Republic is comparable to many first world nations today. They are corrupt as all get out, but they still have a grey ideal of liberty and rights. The Empire on the other hand is EVIL through and through. They conquer, they destroy, they consume. They commit genocide on large scales and are led by egotistical maniacs. There is also a racist undertone to them. So neither side is really good, but the Republic is definitely closer to what 'good' could be called.
  17. it's all in the playstyle you prefer. one is ranged DPS the other is melee DPS with the ability to heal. both are fun.
  18. i haven't used cover since I went scoundrel at 10. im 30 now.
