Sadly I've decided not to level my JK any further until a toogle is added or they add new hood down armours to the game, its that important to me. Thats not a foot stamping statement by the way, but I'm personally playing this game for more than spreadsheets and rotation crunching. Isn't it true that the Sith guys are complaining that they can't get armour with the hood up? If thats true I really can't fathom the design decision that all JK armours will be hood up and all SW will be hood down - why not create some of each? *baffled face*

This is correct sadly. Pandemonium synergises well with Hot Pursuit if you want CB instant and on the run. Its a 4 point investment though so you really need to love CB

Sorry haven't read every post here but wanted to add my voice to this. As an RPG player I love creating character's; I spend a long time on the character creation screen getting the look I want (within the constraints). If coding Hood Up/Down toggle is a pain - and I'm not a programmer so I won't challenge what I don't know - then at least create and drop hood down Orange robes for the rest of us, or add hood down mats for Synthweavers. I've only seen hooded Orange robes and while I like hoods, I don't want them all the time. If I have to choose one or t'other, I'd go hood down all the way. Would increase treade on the GTN if nothing else. Help us OBioware-Kenobi; you are our only hope...

Sorry for nooby question. Just started levelling my Guardian and noticed my eyes have a burning white glow sometimes during combat. I assume this signifies a buff or specific state, but what?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Force Push a Guardian ability, rather than a Defense tree ability? Not all Guardians are tanks.

*Applause* Thank you Asparhuk, glad to see someone else that can see through the rage. Guys, ability delay is clearly frustrating but nerd raging instead of reading helps no-one. Mr Z said that they have found an issue and that certain types of hardware will make it manifest more acutely. He says they are working on a fix. He did not say "its your hardware, go upgrade". If you can find the post where he says that you can haz my stuff. Calm down and read instead of entering instant BW Hate mode, eh?

Beta testers told me that although it has an aoe, its not affected by Independent Anarchy because of its Dot effect (or something). If this was proven to be untrue I'd definitely rethink by Sabshooter build.

Isn't there a bit is Esseless that requires two consoles to be activated to enable the Big Droid? Do they have to be done simultaneously?

Despite spending a many years doing pnp RP with friends, I haven’t done any for the best part of 10 years (marriage, kids, moving away etc), and virtually none in MMO RP. I did a little bit in LotRO but never really found the groove. Last night I did The Esseless flashpoint with 3 other players I met at the docking gate - a snooty Shadow, a Vanguard spoiling for a fight and a Smuggler looking to make a buck - and we did the entire FP IC. This is the first actual roleplaying I’ve done since I started playing TOR and it was...amazing. The rp moulded around the content giving extra heft to both. Gotta say the other guys made RPing very easy even though they were clearly old hands at it. All the small talk felt authentic and the personalities of the characters really shone through. I’m afraid I don’t have a note of their names (I’m at work now) and have no idea if they even frequent the forums or will ever see this, but I just wanted to say thanks to them for giving me probably the best Star Wars gaming I’ve had since I started playing TOR; am still thinking about it. This is exactly what I was hoping to get by joining an RP server and if all rp could be half as good as that I’ll be a happy Combat Medic.

That you should be firing off these abilities as soon as they are available, hence they should always be 'on cooldown'.

Dropping into cover isn’t supposed to take up to 10 seconds. The fact that it does – and believe me I know – is an issue with the game that needs to be fixed; I do not believe for one second that Bioware gave Sab’s a talent exclusively to cater for a misfiring mechanic anymore than I believe we should specinto a talent as some sort of half arsed compensatory move. Fix cover please BW. I had taken a point in Hot Pursuit and actually found that it’s not as useless on its own as some would believe; in PVE at least. It is kinda nice not to have to drop into cover to fire off a Charged Burst, but without the instant fire combo I was hoping for I’m not sure I’ll keep a point there. As a Sab I have plenty of attacks I can do without cover that don’t require a self root, Thermal grenade being the mainstay. I have to agree with you on the healing and Endurance talents though; quite underwhelming.

Actually can I just confirm you've (or anyone actually) has tested Snap Shot with Hot Pursuit? I mean without Hot Pursuit the buff would vanish as its an in-cover only skill. Not trying to be difficult here, just want to confirm your statement so I can replan my slinger build. Cheers Noktaris.

Don't think its broken; it does do what the tooltip says - you can use it out of cover. Sadly it doesn't make it an instant cast, you still need to channel it which is not very helpful. Thats why I was hoping that a Snap Shot combo would allow an instant out of cover Charged Burst. I am Sad Face Gunslinger...

Well that sucks. In that case I'd agree its use is not worth the investment.

On its own its usefulness is questionable at best, especially for DirtySab builds. However for SabShooters it becomes a mite more powerful. Coupling it with Snap Shot allows you to pop cover, Aimed Shot then move with an instant Charged burst you can fire on the run. All the better if you have Sab Charge and Smugglers Luck off CD; that’s some big, instant burst damage available while retaining mobility. Synergises well with Pandemonium too; Cover Pulse, Aimed shot while they are stunned and instant Charged Shot available while kiting away. Sounds pretty useful to me Its certainly not a talent that is going to suit every build or playstyle, but its not useless either. If it is for you then no one is forcing you to take it. Plenty of other things to spend those two points on.
