  1. I think EQ and WoW had something like this. You could craft a consumable belt buckle (or such) that could be used on a certain piece of equipment to add a gem/aug slot. I wouldn't mind having this kind of thing. Even if it was just for a couple of slots or not usable on gear that already has a particular aug slot.
  2. I have funded two guilds this way. You post, someone buys, you (presumably) make money. No reason to complain because someone is making more money than you could have selling the same item.
  3. I don't remember having much trouble with this but I may have been a level or two higher. I'd make sure your training is up to date (I kept forgetting to do it around this point in the story) and maybe do a gear check for yourself and Mako. It will be a longer fight so an all out burn will not be particularly effective. Make sure the other two are taken care of first, interrupt as much as possible on his abilities and just keep up the steady DPS even if it is just an "auto" attack.
  4. The security key app seems to have been made with some thought that this could be done. If you back out of the security key it will say "select application". Currently only security key is there but there is potential to put in something for crafting or possibly for the GTN. I would definitely like to see this happen. WoW's mobile armory would let you do auctions and mail so there is definitely a precedent.
  5. Meh, I let her go. I'm a sucker for a pretty face.
  6. Ah ha! It's been quite a while since I've played KOTOR or KOTOR2. I kept meaning to go back and play through both again before SWTOR but never had the time.
  7. In this case the question is really the same. Asking "what is the rotation" and "is there a rotation" can/will yield the same answer. In this case "there isn't (much of) one." @OP FWIW I vary depending on whether there are melee targets in the group and start with those. Open with Aimed Shot, Sabo Charge, Flurry/Charged Burst (CB if you have Snap Shot is great; experiment to see if you have time to get off Smuggler's Luck before the buff drops). If they aren't dead by that point finish off with whatever is convenient: Quick Shot/Flurry/etc. I've taken now to using the same sequence on ranged targets and sprinkling in grenades for grouped targets.
  8. This is what I do. My normal bar is exactly the same as my cover bar save for the cover only abilities. When I switch to cover everything stays in the same spot and I get the new abilities added. I used to do the same on my rogue in WoW with the stealth abilities. Of course, I rearranged the other day and I can't find anything anymore...
  9. I wonder if, in a future patch, they will allow Twi'leks to equip greaves in the head slot....
  10. NCAAwut? I haven't seen this Hanharr yet but Bowdaar does seem a little soft for a wookiee.
  11. Interesting findings. I had also been noticing the buff drop off when opening with AS. I'm wondering if it is the same with something like quick shot or a grenade as well. I'll give it a try tonight and see what I find.
  12. I have noticed this same thing with Snap Shot. If I roll to hard cover I see the buff come up but if I use something before Charged Burst it will drop. I wonder then if there is some kind of bug in using hard cover...?
  13. Once you get to Tatooine you'll see a lot of mission rewards will have companion gear. Just did a whole mess last night and upgraded a whole bunch on Corso. Before that I relied mostly on dropped gear and the occasional reward. For the most part that was fine, though I admit after a certain point I stopped doing the heroic 2+s and he would get turned to goo on some elites...
  14. Ditto on Flashy. I still have it in my hold so I could check but I don't think that's it. As far as other stuff, I'd be interested to see computer and character specs from a few folks having the issue. Race, gender, gear, that sort of thing. Might be some correlation there.
  15. 'Bout time! Been stuck with Corso on Tatooine. I was hoping to give Bowdaar some fight time before I move to Alderaan, looks like I'll get a chance.
  16. Why does everyone want someone else to decide what they should play? LordXalas gave enough info to make a decently informed decision. Make one. If you don't like it, start over. PvP takes player skill into great account, more than anything in PvE, IMO. If you don't like your class or play it well you will suck no matter what you do. You will be up against actual intelligence, not a script. You will need to be pretty deep into your class to understand how to survive and if you don't like it, you will fail. Guaranteed. TLDR, read and decide. Don't ask someone to do it for you. /petpeeverant
  17. No kidding. She has some incredible range.
  18. Hmmmm....this idea has merit and I wish to know more.
  19. Ideally it would work as follows: Go into (natural or shield) cover, buff appears. Buff stays until timer runs out or ability is used regardless of going into or out of cover. -OR- Go into (natural or shield) cover, buff appears. Buff stays until timer runs out or ability is used. If buff is up (unused) when exiting cover, delete buff and reset timer. Again, ideal situation but I feel that is how it should work.
  20. Did test this some more last night. As mentioned above I only had issues with it when using natural cover. Some times the buff would pop, some times not. I did not check on the CD b repeatedly dropping in and out of cover though. I would assume that FlashBomber is correct and there is a 6s delay, as there should be if the ability is used. I would definitely like to see them look at this though. It seems like it is checking where you are covering rather than that you have activated cover. If that is the case it should be an "easy" fix, but I gave up on programming long ago.
  21. /signed There are some truly bad design ideas going on in this game. Thankfully I am not yet high enough to have to worry about much past what color my vest/jacket is...
  22. If I remember, FFXI had a job system whereby you could change to any job you like (monk, warrior, mages, etc) but you had to level each job separately. For example, I start as a monk and level to 15 or 20 or whatever. A friend of mine starts playing later and wants to be a melee class as well. I can switch to a healer class (for a cost) and start again at level 1. If I don't want to level past him I can go back to being a monk (again, money) and play that back at the higher level. If they were to implement class change it should be something like this. People will get to change classes and roles but still have to do all the work to learn how to play each class.
