  1. Play hard mode EV then come back. You need to keep people topped off. I'm going to level both a merc and sorcerer healer so I can better outline the differences. At level 12 I already feel like the Sorcerer will be a far more competent than my IA Op.
  2. I think this thread needs to be addressed towards end game Operative / Scoundrel healing concerns.
  3. Watch a Mercs or Sorcs resources as they pop off a 5k heal, maybe that will change how you feel about how much drain our Injection tolls.
  4. Well, I had written a big long post before I alt-backed and lost all of it. So I'll give the short version. I'm 4/5 hardmode eternity vault cleared. I'm rank 40 PvP. I'm not saying that we aren't capable of performing as solo healers in Flashpoints, or supporting operations as a healer; I'm saying that we're noticeably weaker at it than the other healing classes. I'll preface the next few statements with this: It's impossible when judging a class to NOT compare it to other classes that perform the same role. These comparisons are judgements of balance, and balance is ABSOLUTELY necessary if you don't want everyone playing the same class. Where the Sorc and Mercenary healers are capable of performing in reactionary healing roles and not running into heat / force issues, the IA Operative is not. The IA Operative is completely proactive healing based. Keeping Kolto Probes out to get your TA procs is a must in any healing environment, and though this is possible in PvP, Operations and Flashpoints, it becomes exceedingly difficult ((EFFING SUPERTEDIOUS)) to keep TWO probes across multiple people in hardmore operations, thus incredibly nerfing their healing utility. Thus the major problem, kolto probes being pretty much the center of this class. Addon- Recuperative Nanotech is pretty much worthless in operation environments, because you're almost never going to get more than one or two people with it, except when you're beating down mind traps on SoA. Also, to clarify on what I said above; if you can't keep two probes stacked on people who have taken damage then you're not healing them and you're falling behind, forcing you to play a reactive game. In operations it is nigh impossible to keep two probes stacked on people taking damage, though these issues are less noticed on normal operations vice hardmode operations due to the level of damage being taken. In PvP, just probes don't cut it. It's nice to have on people for extra heals, or for heals while they're moving, but you bet you're *** we're going to need injection. All the probes in the world are only going to give you TA for surgical probe. Though, it's really hard to map out the issues, though perhaps it's because I'm tired. I can say this, though: IA Operatives have the least freedom to play in any environment due to the energy restrictions. We run out of the top tier energy regeneration way too quickly, and most encounters make it nigh impossible to allow us to 'diagnostic scan' our way back into the top regeneration tier. This isn't an issue for Sorcerers or Mercenaries, and when any of you have the opportunity to raid hardmores with one, you'll see the difference. I drop three injections back to back, and I have to bide my time until I'm back in top tier energy regen, big brother merc spams instant heals around the raid and doesn't break a sweat. I always feel like the little brother healing in hardmode ops. Just assisting my big brother mercenary who never goes into over heating threshold; though when **** hits the fan you best bet your *** I'm diagnostic scanning my way to victory. All I can suggest is that our HoT ticks come a little bit faster, or bring down energy costs on injection and recuperative nanotech / kolto cloud. Or both. I think that would bring us more inline with other healing classes.
  5. You think I'm not sitting in queue as well? It happens, but I'm coping with it; I'm not stupid enough to believe that there are any short term fixes for this. I also understand that complaining isn't going to fix it. If all of us that preordered also used the GHQ to hook up prior to launch, Bioware could have balanced the servers better. Instead they worked with what they got. I'm level 30, my guild is here, and I've expected the queue times. I'll deal until people leave or they buy new servers. Complaining will not make either happen faster, so really that leaves two options. Shut up and wait or reroll on another server. It really doesn't matter what you think is unacceptable or not.
  6. A lot of people complaining... too many people complaining.. How many of you utilized Guild HQ? How many of you just decided to ignore it and roll on whatever server you liked? Bioware was using GHQ to attempt to balance servers as much as possible to prevent this from happening. Those of you complaining that didn't utilize it and sign up with a guild to play with; this is on you. Just move servers. Queues are going to happen, especially so when people decide to roll on a heavy server instead of a standard. If you don't feel like paying for it, either move to another server or stop complaining about it; the queue isn't going to disappear because of you're complaining. The only thing that would allow for larger server population is more powerful servers, which would involve lengthy stress testing and hours of maintenance downtime to bring online. Not to mention it would be an exceedingly expensive solution to a problem caused by people not wanting to reroll.
  7. So basically what you're asking is "Will already created characters become part of my legacy, or can characters only be created into a characters legacy?"
  8. Why do idiots believe this is "pre-release"? It's a staggered release, poorly done.
  9. Are you people really daft enough to believe this is really a pre-release? They're filtering the number of people that all try to flood the servers at once, so the game servers don't implode like the website did. It's not a pre-release, it's a staggered release, and ******** at that, though with 2000 people on my server (as pointed out via GHQ, though there could be others that come that aren't from GHQ) I don't see how they didn't let us all log in over the last 12 hours.
  10. Is anyone else having this issue? I've checked my account and it's not displaying that my code has been redeemed, although it's been that way since the beginning of August.
