  1. I heavily disagree with the increased pricing for the level 20 PVP gear for this newest patch. It is unbalanced to consider that level 20 gear should cost the same amount of credits as level 40 gear. Since players now only have ten levels to acquire commendations, from level 10 to level 20, to purchase their level 20 set (compared to twenty or thirty (if skip the 20 set) to purchase their level 40 set), it stands to reason that it forces players to miss a lot of early PVE missioning content because they will quickly out level the first planets beyond DK and Cor. I did WZs rarely leveling my first toon after getting my level 20 set and still skipped most content on Alderaan, bypassed Hoth completely and finished only the first area of Corellia before I dinged - I didnt do ANY FPs after Athiss so that didn't contribute to the issue. Due to the complete lack of world pvp and acquisition of commendations and valor from world pvp, as well as world pvp being completely absent in the early zones; players have to basically choose between immersive story driven pve plot-lines, heroics and more social opportunities versus grinding out the same old game of Huttball for the 10th time that day. Even with the inclusion of the 50s bracket for pvp (thank you!), it is still gloriously painful to play a pre-14 level character with no sprint in any WZ since the bracketing system STILL needs to be improved upon to include <29 and 30-49 brackets at the very least. Am I the only that feels this way? If so, I will shut my big fat QQing mouth and go play more Huttball much to the irritations of all the level 40+ players on my team because they know they are gonna have to carry my healer spec'd arse. TL;DR Level 20 gear prices nearly doubled. Needs to be reevaluated. Lowbies need love too.
  2. ugh. if it wasnt the valor farming, the lag alone is enough to make it unbearable. i love playing a game where i get 1 - 3 fps because there are over 50 ppl on my screen even with all my graphics settings set to low. This is countered to usually having 60-80fps with all graphics settings set to high (or whatever they really are.) A middle ground is needed. Bring back Ilum v1.0 and just add a small number of kills on top of helping the war effort. Nerf the valor rewards completely so its on par to the same amount of time spent in a warzone. oh and roll back all valor to server start after patch.
  3. I actually laugh and jeer at strafing and circle running opposition in WZ. I am a Madness Sorcerer and you can't make me dizzy in order to get out of the way of a instant cast Force Lightning and it will just make you run 50% slower! Funniest moments actually are when a potential victims runs for a lift in Huttball and my lightning shoots into the air like a lazer light show following them the whole way. People forget, this isn't a FPS, strafing make no difference on the offensive (except for obvious AOE and cone attacks) it just makes you look silly and opens up some potential arthritic issues with your fingers for clicking them back and forth so much.
  4. While I certainly agree with the desire for expanded world pvp, I totally disagree with one of the OP's bulleted points. There NEEDS to be valor given for all p-kills inside and outside of WZ. For the life of me I can not understand why the devs didn't decide this was important enough to institute from the beginning. There is nothing game-breaking about giving someone a valor point for getting a kill in the middle of Tattooine or Alderaan. If farming is an issue, obviously diminishing returns is the answer. It should also be scaled appropriate so a 30 level kill is worth more to a 28 level player versus a 50 level player one-shotting. I don't really care about the comms in world pvp, but you absolutely should receive valor recognition of the fact. Otherwise you get situations like on my server where Ilum is a joke... we sit there and go back and forth on blowing up walkers so everyone can get their daily/weekly quests done. There is practically no fighting involved... Fix the world pvp as it stands for right now, and then expand it along those rules and guidelines. Give people more incentive to participate other than just ganking someone who is caught unaware.

  6. I have played the opening story for all 4 Jedi and Sith options. Personally, my least favorite was Consular just because it lacked a lot of dynamics that I enjoyed in the others. Knight by itself was *yawnable* for the most part, and I only enjoyed it for the plot-twist that was really purely put into play by MY choices... I genuinely felt like it was much less linear at the end (even though I intended on playing a fallen 'Anakin' style character from the beginning and made choices based on that in a very RP manner) Inquisitor is freaking hilarious if you go about it as a pure sarcastic style... laughed and loved it. Warrior was alright, i definitely enjoyed the later part of the story more than the early portions. Only class story i have been bored with so far is Trooper.
  7. Think its reasonable that the early FPs ARE a little simpler and less demanding since most of the class mechanics are not in place yet. There is no taunts, nothing more than a simple heal and in some cases, some players are running it before they even chose their Advance Class in the case of BT. Using WoW as a 'standard' (excuse me while i throw up a little in my mouth while I say that) - there really isn't a great deal of difficulty in running any instances until around ... *thinking* ... oh my.... *thinking longer* Well they are all sort of easy until BRD at least and that's level 40. I can't think of anything in vanilla that was exactly 'challenging'.

  12. This had caused me some concern since I work graveyard basically wouldn't be able to play at all that night once the official launch started. THANK YOU guys for the grace period - my schedule appreciates it!
  13. Admittedly it is hard going from playing Skyrim to a set MMO. On one part I do agree, on another point, I don't want to have to search for a quest-giver so I can do a turn in. A little meandering is acceptable but I don't want to have to go all over the place. One of the things I commented the most about during Beta was the expansiveness of the areas did lead to the feeling that I spent more time running than anything else. If there was a lot of players in a corridor before me, i did end up spending a lot of time running without encountering any mobs. I can only hope at higher levels that the AI for mobs is more dynamic that they will patrol, come to the aid of other mobs and/or have larger agro ranges.
  14. \m, from Kapahulu. There was a small guild Kapu that was imported on Black Vulkars with about a dozen members. Haven't heard of any others. I am trying for a larger 24/7 type myself to avoid talking to myself in the middle of the night when i get home from work and actually have time to play.
