  1. Actually Mabari armor was Star Wars before it was in DA. They had Mabari Armor in SWG.
  2. 1: Most of us who bought the original game preordered it in July 2011 and didn't get the actual game until December, so you're barking at the wrong people here. 2: I agree, subbers shouldn't have to pay for DLC, but we still pay for Cartel coins even after we sub because we don't get all the content either without using the coins. Besides, 10 bucks isn't much; don't drink two lattes from Starbucks and it's all good. 3: Who cares about Cathar?? That was one of the worst decisionss for a playable species any way. I would rather have a race like Wookiee, Rodian, or Mon Cal to play. 4: You paid 40 bucks each for 5 levels and a reworked base game for WOW: Cataclysm, and a new continent for WOW: Kung Fu Panda, so 10 bucks is a bargain any way you look at it. Of course, we who have been playing SWTOR for a year have been waiting on more information on Makeb and such for almost 1/2 that time; so you do have a point on the less than forthcoming information they are giving to us.
  3. It's really is very simple to do everything you want to do. Go into the UI editor. click on the item you wish to change, and go through the information in the box in the middle; it scrolls up and down; and find what you want to do. you can make youe quickbars go from vertical to horizontal by changing the amount of boxes in the width.
  4. I'm a subscriber. I pay my 15 a month and I still have to use the stupid cartel coins for some things. I pay my monthly fee for the FULL game, not bits and pieces of it. I am heavily disappointed with this F2P/ P2P business model that BW/EA have come up with. I paid $150 bucks for the Collector's edition, have been subbed since this game came out, and played it when I could, even when all of my:( friends quit and went back to WOW and those other inferior games. I Love this game, it has the Star Wars feel to it and makes me want to play it, but I am not going to be nickel and dime'd to death by it. I can understand placing some restrictions on the F2P crowd. I don't have a problem with that, but to make them pay for things like UI features and such is beyond inane. Seriously?? That's no way to gain players, that's just a way to drive those new players, and we old subbers off in droves. I swore that I would play this game until it was done because I liked it so much, and now folks; I believe it's done. Thanks for the year of memories. So long, and thanks for all the fish.
  5. I agree, this is a pretty cruddy way to treat people who actually pay to play this game. I'm wondering how much it's going to cost us in the long run.....
  6. I am actually on three servers with other Naritusians. On Lord Adrass with the Kor Spera crew, On Sanctum of the Exalted, with some friends from PVAC and CO, and on Darth Bandon with folks from Hired Guns, DOF and PVAC. I play mostly on Sanctum, so that's where you'll find me most of the time. I have a couple of imps there Thraken-Sal is the main imp, and on the Republic side, Bowen is my main. On Lord Adrass, I only have two toons, Thraken-Sal is my main Republic, Smuggler. Brianna ia a level 1 Imp agent, never been played lol. On Darth Bandon, Thrak is a level 7 or 8 Imp Agent, but I don't play there much. *EDIT* Noticed that I had answered this thread before but hey I now have more info so it's all good lol
  7. There isn't any way to add an external video card to a laptop, if someone told you differently, then they are highly misinformed. there were some older laptops that had slots for a proprietary pci-e video card but those have pretty much gone the way of the Do-Do. Best bet is to build a new computer, you can go to http://www.newegg.com and check out their prices on parts to build a new machine. But make sure that your choice in video card is compatible with TOR. I recommend an nVidia GeForce GTX 460 at the least, though the game will run fairly well on less robust cards of the 200 series. I also recommend at least a quad core cpu, I myself am an Intel user and the sandy bridge core i5 2500k is a good processor and will give you great performance for the money. This CPU requires a motherboard with an 1155 socket. I also recommend an ASUS board for that. And plenty of memory to go with it, imho no less than 8gb of ddr 1600 or better. Also, make sure you get a good power supply to push all that hardware, I wouldn't recommend anything less than 750 watts myself, but newegg has a wattage calculator that you can input all of your hardware into to give you the optimal PS wattage for your system. Good luck
  8. a: Yes, Iplayed religiously until NGE then off and on afterward b: Yes, on and off since beta, more off than on but all around 2 or three years total TOR is quite good, and I am really enjoying it.
  9. OK here'swhat you need to do. Go to the store and buy a can of air; take the side off of your computer and blow out all the dust from ALL of the fans, including your video card. Make sure you get all of the dust and whipe off any that is on any component. Close the case. Turn on your computer, run a disk clean-up and get rid of all of the files it has there, as they are only temp files. Then Defragment the drive. This should help tremendously with the issues you are having. If the above sequence doesn't work for you, you either have corrupted files in your Windows install or some hardware that is flaky and about to go bad on you. Also, make sure you have enough wattage in your Power Supply to carry ALL of the hardware you are using. If the PS is under wattage, you will get everything you are complaining about while using a graphically intensive game. Rule of thumb is to have a Power Supply that is over your required wattage, so you can always upgrade later if you need. But one that is right on the edge of cpacity or under is bad for all of the hardware because brownouts can cause serious damage to your machine. One thing you should do is always make sure that your computer can handle the job you require of it, brfore complaining that it is the softwares fault, because 90% of the time you are most likely wrong about the software
  10. Actually this is what they opened last night: The following new servers have been added for launch! US East Coast PVE - English Whitebeam Run Khoonda Militia Keetael Ki-Ta Kren The Courageous Anturi Reach Firaxan Shark The Defenestrator Fort Garnik The Razor Assassins of Sion Hanharr ICE Breaker Eidolon Security Elysium Sedyn Kyne Axial Park Nathema Crevasse City Zez-Kai Ell Colonel Tobin Master Dorak US East Coast PvP - English Thendys Noori Rwookrrorro The Deadweight Gardens of Talla Cho Mai Infinity Gate Darth Malak US East Coast - RP-PvE - English Kath Hound US West Coast - PvE - English Soresu Zakkeg Beast Perlemian Trade Route Empress Teta Darth Xedrix Gauntlet of Kressh Veeboo Lunx Drooga's Pleasure Barge Namadii Corridor Fa'athra Master Gnost-Dural US West Coast - PvP - English The Maw Shadowtown The Bastion US West Coast - RP-PvE - English Lord Ieldis EU - PvE English Dune Bantha The Arkanian Legacy Bacca's Blade Goluud Corridor Flames of Crucible Sluis Shipyards French Vodo-Siosk Baas German Lenico Gargantuan Murakami Orchid The Cinzia Stereb Cities EU - PvP English The Shadow Runner The Kumumgah Tassaa Bareesh Ula Vii Senator Contispex Tott Doneeta French Atris Princess Galia Dol Grenn German Blotus the Hutt Exis Station Brianna EU - RP-PvE English Shaltin Tunnels German Zayne Carrick that is a few more than 1/2 a dozen. In fact it is 70 so that makes both of you wrong.
  11. They have artificially made the servers full because they already had max capacity, and they wanted the people who bought the game today to go to the new servers they opened up last night. People aho are complaining about the Queues need to realize this, if there is a wait time, go to a light server, you will be able to play. Of course, this does effect those who have already got toons on a full server, who are already in a guild there and want to play with their friends. I'm really sorry you have to wait, but launches are ALWAYS like this. Even that POS Rift had Queues. This is Normal. Until everyone finds their place, it will be this way and then the queues will dissppear and we will all be happy. As for the smoothness of the launch; I agree it is pretty smooth but not perfect. You have to consider that BW is new to the MMO market and are learning their moves. Give them time because I believe they will get in tune eventually. Just remember, When WOW came out, Blizzard didn't know what they were doing either and now look at them. Relax and enjoy. It will only get better.
  12. I have to say. I played SWG and thouroughly enjoyed it, warts and all, even after the infamous "Smedley" affair. It always made me feel like I was in Star Wars and just made me feel good to play it. I will miss it, I had a lot of great times there, and made a lot of good friends. No other MMO ever gave me the joy that SWG did. That said; Until Now! TOR is the new bright spot in MMO's for me. Yes, there are many similarities between it and others, but they are just mechanics. the game has a fresh perspective, and pulls you into it like no other I have EVER played. It does have flaws. there are still bugs that have been there for a while and haven't been fixed yet. But they are negligible. Just by playing, you feel the love and care that BioWare has tried to put into the game. You feel like you are there and the voice acting makes this a whole new experience. I have played many MMOs and havee never seen one as smooth ad TOR during EGA. People complain about the ques and say it's a failure because they have to wait in line to play; but they fail to see that ques are a good thing; they mean the game is popular, they mean that BW is doing something right to have so many customers waiting to log in that they bring EVERY server to over capacity. I see a great future for TOR and wait on pins and needles until I can once again log in.
  13. I got mine this afternoon. I checked on the UPS site thins morning and was really P***** off because it said it was going to be tomorrow before they delivered it, and all weekend it said it would be delivered today. I was so mad I actually drove to the UPS center to pick it up and the place was closed!!! I found out they only work from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, and 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. So I swore I'd be back at their door ay 4:00 pm just to tear them a new one. then at 3:30, right as I was going out to the car to leave for the "encounter" the UPS truck drove up and handed me the biggest box I have ever seen! I dang near fell over. this box is HUGE!! The contents are well packed inside and everything is beautiful. I input my code, registered my security key, and logged into game and collected all of the pretty little trinkets that came with the CE. Then I had to log out so they could close down the servers. I am patiently waiting for them to come back up so I can play again, and as I do, I am listening to the soundtrack.
  14. I am running a GTX 570 with 1.2gb ram and it does full on high settings @ 1680x1050 resolution. (yes i have a 22" monitor that isn't HD) I have everything going and I get 110 to 120 fps with Vertical sync off, and a steady 60fps with vsync on. I run VSync, because no one can see speeds higher than 30fps anyway and it is smooth as silk. BTW I am an nVidia fanboy and will always be, I seriously HATE ATI Video Cards.
  15. Usually if you just pop the side of your machine, the Power Supply has a sticker on the side of it with all the pertinent information you will need to find out what the rating on it is. Remember, most nextgen GPUs need a lot of power supply. I wouldn't reccomend anything lest than 550 watts depending on the video card, even if you think it will work, because there are a lot of factors involved using the same PS. More power is always better than a little less, brown outs are your enemy, and can do some serious damage to your computer components.
