Seems like you and I are getting disconnected about same time. I too have been DCed about 5 or 6 times now. And then I have to wait a bit for the list to populate.

I dont mind doing a few small quests for companions. What drives me nuts (and I wont do them because they are annoying to me) are the ones where you have to get the companion to rank 10 before they will join you. Nope. Hard pass. Dont need the companion that bad. I already have 20 others. Not wasting my time and money to get those companions.

Has nothing to do with the issue I am having. I have never had an issue with firewall on any game, including this one. This issue is similar to the "no servers queing" that the game has a few days ago. Only, now I am just randomly disconnecting. I have to wait 10 min or so, then I can log back on... just so I can be disconnected soon after. Rinse and repeat.

Keeps happening to me to. No warning or anything. Just disconnect. Try to log back in and I get an error that says: "Unable to retreive patch data. Please check network connection. (208)" I know its not my internet.

Let's be honest, its EA... are we even a little surprised? Because I know I sure am not.

Been trying for quite a while myself. I actually got off work early and was able to get online for a bit. Logged off for dinner, and then that was it. Now I am stuck with all this time to finally sit and play... and I cant. Such is my luck. Ah well, theres always another day I guess.

I have no life? Interesting. How did you come to that conclusion? I have no lvl 50 and dont know anyone other than my brother in game who started at same time as I did. I am in the military, 31 yrs old, a wife, 3 kids, and plenty of time away from games. I am not sure how you decided I had no life, but as you can see, I certainly do. If not the military, then with 3 kids and a wife. Your rudeness isnt needed, friend. If you cant do constuctive criticism, then keep your words to yourself.

Disagree 100%. Anyone can get a character to lvl 50 in a week. So how is it that they are more valuable than a player playing since opening? Simple. It doesnt. Time paying for the game is what makes people valuable. Not lvl of a virtual character. Basically you are saying this: Take a player playing since the game went live: He/she loves the story line and just enjoys playing, but has no lvl 50. This person gets no 30 days. Take a new player with no life: He/she get a lvl 50 in a week because he/she has friends to help him/her lvl. He/she has been playing 7 days and now gets 30 days for free? No, your comment is null and void and sounded a lot like trolling.

No, I dont feel everyone should get it. How is that fair? People paying since the game went live should get it. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. But how far back should it go? 2 months? 3 months? I for one would LOVE to have a free 30 days, but it wouldnt be right. I have only been playing about a month. How is that fair that I receive a free 30 days for my "loyalty" and have been paying for the game only a month? No. They need to change the criteria to something along the lines of "total time payed". That would solve all the problems.

I appreciate the compliment. I just cant understand how people are "quitting" and flaming eachother. Makes no sense. Its a game first and foremost. Secondly, Bioware will read this, make no mistake. When they do, they will see where they made the mistake and correct it. Companies dont want upset paying customers... each paying customer they lose will hurt their profits. So they will adjust this and make it right so they can keep the customers. I understand where all are coming from. I understand the annoyance and frustration and anger. But please guys, just be patient. They will fix this. And then if they dont, and you still feel the need to quit, then quit. Its no skin off my back or anyone else... just please stop throwing hate at one another because you are upset.

I understand what Bioware is trying to do... but what should have been done instead is for those players/members who have been paying for at least 3+ months (this wouldnt benefit me, as I just started about 1 month ago) should have gotten this "special". Its unfair to give it to players with lvl 50s simply because if you truely wanted, you could blow through the lvls in a week and have a lvl 50. Lvling is easy, always is in any game I have ever played. You can not narrow down "valued" customers by in game character lvls. There are some people who have been playing since release with lvl 40 characters and a TON of alts. Maybe they enjoy the different story lines. Maybe they just want to try out each class. Narrowing down "valued" customers due to a persons virtual character lvl means exactly squat and is one of the worse ways I have ever saw any company determine "valued" customers. With that said, for those who are upset (and its most of the community), be patient. I am sure when they read the replies to this and the communities responses they will fix this and make adjustments. Patience is the key. Dont get your blood boiling over this just yet.

I understand where you are coming from, makes sense... with that being said, I am sure they will fix this issue once they see the communities response. There is no need to leave a game you enjoy because of simple wording. Wait until after the patch and see what happens.

People need to relax. Its a G A M E! Go play one of the other ones you have installed... or go outside... here are directions to go outside to where civilization is: First, stand up (yes, that means leaving the PC, gameroom, ect..) Walk to your front door (a front door is rectangle shaped with locks and maybe a peephole and a doorhandle) Open said door Walk outside into the light and take deep breaths of fresh air. Ahhhh... isnt that nice?

I dont see the point. It will not make the servers be stable and ready any faster.

With all due respect, this is a game and sometimes unforseen things happen. I have been playing MMOs since 1999 and this is something that happens in EVERY game I have ever played (over 20 MMOs). Its something you have to either deal with or stop playing MMOs. Sometimes things happen with patches and they can not get the servers back online when they say they will. I would rather have a stable patch than something put out and there are still issues and bugs. I dont see the point in getting all upset over it. Its a game. There are millions of other games out there... and if that fails... got outside and enjoy the day, go be with friends, family, children... its a G A M E. Also, why should they offer compensation? Because the servers were down for a day or two? Who cares. Life goes on. If you want compensation, you really shouldnt be playing MMOs. Only once or twice in all my years of MMOs has there ever been compensation for downtimes... and that was because they lasted a week or more or because peoples accounts were all jacked up when they logged on. Over all, just remember, this is a game and a company. They are doing everything they can to get the servers back online as fast as possible to keep people playing and paying.
