  1. Yup I'm done. Was there at launch, got my Malgus statue. Have come and gone, always returning when an expansion came out to play through. How laughable is this 'expansion', although I'm not laughing. Have cancelled and uninstalled. I may return one day, but it will have to be to something special. Quite disappointing. World of Warcraft just dropped 9.2, and while some things in the past have been a bit questionable I'm really enjoying the latest update there. I'll give them my money. /farewell
  2. That just it, that's why I am here, that's why many are here (or were), that's why I returned and subbed to the game few months back. Because I enjoy swtor and the expectation of a new expansion was exciting. I expected more from 7.0. I didn't set a high bar for it, just some decent content to sink my teeth into for a good amount of time. A new planet they said, what planet? Did we really get to see the planet, no, not really. So while my expectations were not high, I still expected more than the mediocre offering we received.
  3. Unsubbed as well. Only way to make a statement about it.
  4. Yup, same thing happening to me. Whispered a passerby and they couldnt see it either. Maybe it's a new feature. Focus on solo play!
  5. Hey hunterraaze. Had a listen and they have a pretty solid sound to them I've updated the OP with a couple of links to youtube vids of the band I recommended and one for Pop Evil. Think I'll update it for anyone that recommends a band here for easy access. Rock on! \m/
  6. Devilskin, a band from New Zealand has just released their first album and it's pretty damn solid imo. The album is called We Rise and it is on Spotify if you're keen to check out some new sounds. They're gaining a lot of momentum down in our small country. In any case, if you like rock/metal bands feel free to post here with bands you think are worth sharing around. \m/ Ax Edit: So I'll look at updating this post with links to vids of any bands anyone recommends. Ax recommends Devilskin - Start a Revolution hunterraaze recommends Pop Evil - Goodby My Friend

  9. Welcome to our newest members! If you're looking a guild that allows for players both new and veteran then check us out. You can read more about us at our website. Check out the 'About Ascent' tab. Recruiting for our Ops team also. Mainly looking for dps, if you have any questions pm me or complete an Ops application. ...and watch out for the rolling images at the top, they have sharp edges TLDR: LFM
  10. Our goal is to create and maintain a 24hr guild now that we're on The Harbinger. If you're looking for a friendly guild, if you are a veteran player, if you are a new player, you will fit in if you are social and enjoy interacting with others. We have a full featured guild website, dedicated TS server, and a funny looking ewok in the basement. The guild website is in my sig if you'd like to check it out. Casual members do not need to complete an application, but can if you wish. Any potential Ops member please complete the application. Cheers Ax
  11. Hi guys, Honiheke - Being new to the game is not a problem. We have a mix of veterans and those that were new to mmos in general. Will look you up in game. We do raid, but like to keep the casual fun environment, and not everyone raids. Orpheus - Feel free to send me an ingame tell or send mail if you're keen to join. Each guild is different, you're both welcome to come join us, check us out and see what you think. If the sock doesn't seem to fit then you're free to move on and look elsewhere. See you in game.
  12. LOL Krackers, broken Harbinger already!
  13. Hello! Check out my recruitment thread here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=647652 Cheers
  14. We are a friendly social Star Wars: The Old Republic guild located on The Harbinger, we are always looking to add more like minded players. We have an 8 man Operations team and are recruiting players to expand to a 16 man team. While we do run Operations we are a good place for those that are new to mmos and who are willing to learn. We have a good mix of Kiwi's and Aussie in Ascent, membership is open to anyone however. What can I say that could make us stand out more than just another guild recruiting, a bit of history perhaps? When we first formed, we formed as Valorous, this took place about a year before launch. Started out as a casual/social guild but then some people from a raiding guild joined us and now we also participate in Operations. The core members have been with us since early access. We enjoy Star Wars and will be playing it for a long time yet. We have now moved to Harbinger and will continue to be an active guild here. If this sounds like the kind of environment you would like to be a part of feel free to check out our website (in my sig). If you are looking at joining as a casual member you do not need to complete an application to join. You can PM me or contact me ingame. If you are interested in Operations please complete the Operations application. If you have questions feel free to ask them in this thread. Cheers Axzalius GM of Ascent
  15. Hey there, I'm the GM of Ascent. We've just moved to Harbinger. We're a mix of Aussies and Kiwi's. Always looking for more from our timezone. We currently run an 8man Ops team but are planning to push that up to 16 now that we have moved to Harbinger. We are a republic guild. Check our website out @ http://www.ascentguild.tk If you have any questions feel free to PM me here or look me up in game. Axzalius GM of Ascent
  16. You do realise you can use popups with MOX and have small windows open on the screen while playing?
  17. Thanks, that is what we're using. Once setup, easy as to use for both solo and group play.
  18. What is this Nox you are referring to? Are you and the other person here referring to MOX? If not can you please provide a link to Nox? Thanks.
  19. My advice is to not interact (if possible) with negative people. They're found on every server. My guild is going to The Harbinger and we will make the most of our new home. The ignore facility is a good one to use. Also check out this thread and you'll see the amount of guilds that are going to that server: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=617811 I'm looking at this in a positive light. When you stop and think about it, it's going to be pretty much a 24hr server. You have the prime time for the US. Then they start to head off and it moves on towards oceanic prime time. Isn't it actually going to help with a healthy population 24hrs a day or close to it?
  20. Yea, I hear ya. It is all we have at this time. And I agree with what Krackers has said. More transparency around the process would be helpful, I'm saying that from the position of the GM of Valorous. Trying to organise things. At this point the decision for us to to transfer as soon as it is available. We're assuming that the guild wont be able to be transferred so have already created our guild on our destination server ahead of time. The guild bank has been emptied. Just hoping that at least the requested transfers will go smoothly. Does kind of make you feel like a second rate customer when there is a minuscule amount of information regarding the transfers.
  21. A lot of hate towards Addons, and I get it. It can, or should I say does cause issues when not used in a rational manner. I like addons, it gives me the ability to effectively measure my output with what I'm doing. It gives me details to work with to try and improve my effectiveness. I do not use it to pour negativity onto other players, I do not use them to be an elitist prat, I'm far from the top of the food chain in regards to 'top players'. I do agree with what others here have said, addons are not required to play swtor. Addons are tools, an aid. It can aid in identifying someone who may need a little help in regards to gearing or ability rotations. Those tools are good for the likes of guilds that are working on endgame content. They can try different builds, measure their effectiveness and actually have data they can use to make informed changes. It can aid in identifying someone who may need a little help in regards to gearing or ability rotations and their outputs. This is very helpful when you are trying to push through endgame content. The manner in which the player is approached is what is important here, not the actual addon itself. Without specific data, making effective and informed decisions is difficult at best. Our raid team uses one which has so far created some healthy competitiveness. This link will take anyone interested in the addon to it: http://memoriesofxendor.com/parser/desktop/ I'm not the perfect player, I'm not a number crunching theorycrafter. I'm just a gamer that enjoys swtor. The people that raid in my guild have lives outside of gaming, we use this stuff to help make the most of our time, in a positive way. If you don't like addons, that is your choice.
  22. This will not answer all questions, but refer to the FAQ as it is likely how things will be handled in regards to guilds http://www.swtor.com/support/helpcenter/5268 But I agree, some further confirmation of the process would be helpful. However, I do not think it is something to get too hung up about. Just make preparations for your guilds with the information we know.
  23. I believe free transfers are only from the APAC servers, and they're closing down, so you will not be able to transfer them back. If however you're not from the APAC servers then I think you have to pay for your transfer. Then if you want to go back you'd likely have to pay again.
