  1. Tank here, my vote always goes for whichever healer decides to team up with me to carry the team to victory. Healer + Tank combo is so damn nice.
  2. Sooo, do some augment missions and sell for profit at AH! Oh wait, since there is only slicers on every damn server you'll flood the market with augments. How very sad for you that you picked the OP flavor of the month and had it nerfed into the ground. Maybe if half of you switch to something else we'll someday see a viable augment market. Slicing was overnerfed, but it was probably needed to get some of the slicers to switch to something else. Looking forward to it getting re-buffed sometime in the future. It was good for the casual players but it was abused to hell by guilds and hardcore players. As for "Now I'll never be able to afford my bike!", I had to cut companion missions for lvl 23-24 to afford it + skills at 25, quest rewards should be enough for you to make it.
  3. Yes, I'm sure the gold sellers are ecstatic that their main source of farmed gold is nerfed. Slicing was too profitable, Bioware likely overnerfed it a bit but I can live with that considering all my friends running around with millions of slice-money. They'll probably buff it a bit in the future, hopefully not to the pre-nerf levels though.
  4. It's fun what some people consider "basic" functionalities of an MMO...
  5. When a car crashes, people die. When a game crashes, noone dies (I hope). No server crashes, no really game-breaking bugs (Say what you will but I have yet to see anything on this forum that I'd classify as game-breaking except for a few quirks experienced by a miniscule amount of players which might be hardware/driver related). A real, honest-to-god RPG where your actions has consequences (WUUUUÄÄÄH!!! I can't change my character from a tank to dps in 2 seconds by pushing a button) and everything isn't handed to you on a platter. Finally. All I could wish for is more end-game material but as always that comes with time, meanwhile you can always play through the other classes for the excellent storylines (though I guess it's too much to expect gamers of today to actually enjoy the RPG elements of an RPG...). I've had no trouble finding people for flashpoints/heroics. Did all Heroics until around lvl 25-26 or so when I realized that I was getting overlevelled for the class- and planet-quests at which point I stopped doing heroics the next two planets. Heck almost all heroics/flashpoints can be finished with just 2 people + companions if you so wish (me and my friend did most of them just the two of us. Only ran into one flashpoint we couldn't finish on our own and no heroics we failed on.) Played computer games since the mid-80s, my first MMO was a MUD (Yay NannyMUD). Played a large amount of game releases of a variety of genres and I've seldom seen one go as smoothly as this. Huge props to Bioware for the release state of this game, looking forward to the new material as it gets ready
  6. Start with a blind vote and then see the names after you voted would be nice yes. Me and my friend always vote for each other but since I win dps/protection and he wins healer every time we play we kinda feel entitled
  7. Powertech here. Don't know **** about healing other than that me and my pal who's playing operative can take on any 2 dps:ers and win every time. My Guard + his heals makes us near invincible. They can CC him and not be close to dropping me before he gets out and heals me up, they can CC me and my guard will still keep him up without problem. Teamwork is what this game is about, not "I want to outheal DPS on my own!!!". And healers are hugely appreciated by most people I play with. Maybe you should find some friends to play with that appreciate the effort you put in.
  8. I long for the awesome PvP elements of a game like Rising Force Online (Before the Codemaster servers were shutdown and some other company opened a really crappy and laggy server). 3 races in a state of constant warfare with 3 daily Chip Wars where you fought for control over the Mine \o/
  9. I average 8-9 medals in huttball. The secret? GUUUAAAAAARD! \o/
  10. Guarding Powertech here. Only complaint I have is that the healers seems to exclusively help the one I'm guarding, I often drop 100% of my life from guarding while all healers are focusing on my guard-target
  11. How can you have problems with BHs, especially low-level such... The real high-damage/AoE abilities are channeling and easy as hell to avoid. A competent healer will offset a competent BH any day of the week. People who notice a big red AoE target and actually move out of the way or goes "maybe I should stun him instead of this jugg that's up in my face?" and doesn't just stun first target they see for no apparent reason. Also basing balancing on PUG-PvP is useless, play real groups and see how many big hits a BH will get off without getting interrupted.
  12. This is what you all get for taking the day off or calling in "sick". I'll work as usual today, remote control my computer at home to enter the queue while I travel home from work and hopefully be on the server when I get home
  13. I usually vote healers if they have a clue of what they're doing and not just spamming heals while not paying attention to the flow of the match. When I'm protecting the ball carrier/bomber/dpser/whatever and we're both dropping low while healers are off healing some **** duelling a random opponent in the middle of the map I don't really feel like voting them. I vote people who helps us complete the match objectives. And sometimes I get tired of the "vote healers to encourage them" crowd when I complete objectives, is the only person guarding others as well as consistent top 3 dps and highest medal hoarding bastard in the team and still people vote for some average healer who spent most of his heals on himself.
