  1. Hello fellow Star Warsy folks, Now that the expansion and new content is under way, I'm curious as to what other people would like to see and/or are looking forward to the most. So post it up here, and tell us what moment your waiting and hoping for. I have two things; 1) The "Sith Empress" - Yea, I can't wait to go to Korriban and smack her around. You may be wondering why, seeing how we haven't met her yet. The answer is simple: She's in my chair. 2) (Ex) Chancellor Suresh - Please, in the name of all that's holy, let my Sith character get to her. I don't even really want to kill her, I just want to make her wish I did, lol. Suresh plays it tough, but she's a politician not a combatant. If you stuck her and Darth Marr in a room together, she would come out crying like a schoolgirl with a skinned knee...that's what I want to see!
  2. Awesome Guild! Great RP'ers and PvP'ers. Kinda the best of both worlds!
  3. I think if Bioware had said something like "Purchase early access to Rise of the Hutt Cartel...(blah blah)...will become free to subscribers on XX date". Then people can buy it or wait, they have the choice, knowing eventually they will be able to play regardless. It seems like a lot of the rage is people feeling like they got duped. Personally, I'll take the title but I'll never display it. I don't need to advertise that I was one of the people that paid for it, like a badge of shame, lol.
  4. For anyone who justifies using this for any reason other than legitimately being stuck, your wrong, and your part of the problem. Stop exploiting it and be part of the solution *gets off soapbox* That said, I've been PvP'ing a long time, and I don't know if I've ever actually been stuck in a WZ. Maybe once or twice in all the matches I've played. They could just disable it completely for all I care. I'd rather have to relog than let all the cheaters have their way. Maybe that's just my spiteful side, lol.
  5. Guild Name: <The Shadow Hand> Faction: Empire Focus: RPvP, PvE, Socializing. Website: http://www.theshadowhand.net Recruitment Thread: Recruitment Point of Contact: Ravagen The Shadow Hand was formerly on The Ebon Hawk server, but shut down after the massive population drop (Thanks Guild Wars 2). Now that the population has stabilized, I am ready for another go. Right now I am recruiting all classes for Leadership positions. We are only recruiting leadership spots right now. Details, expectations, perks, Guild info and anything else you want to know can be found on our website. Just click on the "Shadownet" for our forums. Thanks!
  6. I don't know if "cautious" is the right word. Tatooine is the closest thing to what your talking about. All that is currently is groups of Lvl 55 players ganking lvl 25 players trying to run missions. That doesn't inspire "caution", it inspires turning off the game in frustration. There are wz's, Illum, and Tatooine. They can always add more open world planets, but don't do it where lowbies are forced to run missions. In a perfect world I think your right, it "could" add the right element of fear and suspense. However, like everything, people will take advantage and just camp and kill low lvl players for fun
  7. I know people are all pumped up about world PvP, but Tatooine is kind of an anomoly in that department. Normally, world PvP is fine, since if you don't wish to PvP you simply don't go there. However, to make a world with open PvP, then to place low level missions on that planet...really? I had my level 25 player trying to get to his next mission when he was jumped by 2 level 55 players. Lets face it, this setup encourages camping and killing low level players. It discourages people from actually completing Tatooine (which is a horrible set of missions to start), and would likely discourage people from PvP if those "players" are thier first intoduction to PvP. So, here's a solution that lets everyone win. An item that you can call "Dessert Signal Jammer", and while it's activated your PvP status does not toggle. Meaning even in the open areas, your not attackable. This item perhaps would only work from level 10-(whatever the average Tat mission completion level), and only on Tatooine. Everyone wins: - Low players that don't mind getting attacked can not activate it. - Low players that don't want to be attacked could complete missions without harassment - Item doesn't work past a certain level, leaving higher content unchanged. Am I missing anything? The current "Hunt the lowbie" situation in Tat is unacceptable. The other solution...implement "bolstering" on tatooine, hehe. I think most would just prefer the device.
  8. Just for a different view on this... I'm a lowbie, grinding though levels and cheap gear. That said, I DON'T want "bolstering" either...not forever anyways, lol. Bolstering is great for lower levels. It lets you get in the WZ and learn on a somewhat even playing field. I think thats important to get new people intrested in PvP. That said, once I've gotten to the endgame I don't want bolstering anymore. I don't mind grinding for gear, and I want to EARN a place in PvP and not have it handed to me. I don't DESERVE to be equal to people who have put months into grinding thier gear. They should be able to beat me sensless, and its okay, because I know that at some point THEY got beat senseless too. They persevered, they persisted, and they earned thier place. I'm jealous of them to be honest, and I'm a little pissed that some developer decided not to give me the same chance because people want things handed to them. /signed
