  1. i know ive already cancelled my sub over this. if it goes through then this game will be dead to me sadly. this is a move that only harms players who dont have a metric F ton of credits , so new players and casuals will be getting harmed alot , the stupid rich will just laugh as the game starts to go into its final breaths before the plug is pulled. no offense to the devs but was any thought really put into this? it doesnt even sound good on paper let alone in practice. usually you want it to atleast sound good on paper first before trying it.....which again it does not......at all.
  2. and ive made a suggestion for dealing with this , as for those who have atleast played through KOTE you know you lose your ship initially , and eventually get it back , but beyond simply travling to different worlds outside of the scripted story shuttle , its more or less lost its use. my suggestion of course was a new type of stronghold sinkhold , basically buying a new starship that isnt cheap at all. make it customizable and such , and of course let us keep buying another one and so forth with all the different ship designs out there.
  3. this doesnt even do that for players who already have a metric F ton of credits , its literally NOTHING to them , it only hurts new players and players who didnt have much credits to begin with , so no it is not starting small at all , they are just harming the players who arent the ones who are loaded.
  4. he is right , if your on par with the mobs levels , taking on 4 elites is a tad much to be labeled a heroic 2 , not impossible but should be labeled a heroic 4 , heroic 2s you usually dont need a tank to do anything with little CC involved. but if there are 4 elites your going to need to CC or have a tank + a player healer , companion healers are nice nad all but theyre no match for solid player healers and can sometimes fall when trying to take on multiple elites. Edit : lets face it , if your on par with the quest level and not a geared out tank or healer your going to get tossed around fighting 4 elites with 2 people + companions. , dont deny that. i say this after leveling my assassin as dps and using my healer companion (kept my gear up to date but not khem vals for tanking) and even then i got tossed around by 1 elite on correllia since they get this "execute" type of skill and my companion couldnt keep up in healing.
  5. well the issue is alot of people get pitted against a group of healers making them really hard to kill cause alot of them can keep themselves up and hit pretty hard none theless , does it need a nerf in pvp situations only? yes , but not in the case of pve , if anything a system should be put in place , ive got couple but would be hard to implement , the best i can think of is increase that healing debuff in pvp from (i think 30%) up to 50 or 60% , simpelest thing i can think of , since the issue is when you have a cluster group of healers out healing the dps and still able to hit relatively hard then it seems unbelievably unfair to the group with less to no healers (lets face it there are some servers especially on empire where you have so few healers in warzones) and this is a big issue ive noticed in say Alderaan Civil War and Voidstar , theyre all just finding the spot to sit at and healthemselves to death (which would be sit at middle and run to the 2nd turret they control) and with voidstar just have a couple sit at the doors and 1 big group moving around between the 2. Healers are unbeliably OP in warzones BECAUSE you get alot of them on one team and then the other team will end up with little to no healers.and that team will just sit there banging their heads against the wall because no matter how hard they try they CANNOT out dps a whole group of healers (though ive seen some dps scoundrels literally 3 shot someone (guestimated 3 shot because it wasnt even a full 2 seconds before their target drops)
  6. as far as i remember during beta , they kept custimization down to your starter companions mostly , i never looked too hard tbh.
  7. you do realize the differencei n "pvp" gear available for purchase between the below 20s people , and a 50 right? those low levels have no access whatsoever to gear with expertise which last time i checked increase damage done to other players , reduces damage from other players , and increaseses healing done in pvp. please go look at vendors for anything lvl 20 or below and look for anything with ANY expertise at all . youll notice they have NOTHING that benefits them at all , at most all they can really try to get is pvp stims and such. where the team with lvl 40+ have access to ALOT of their skills , alot of gear with expertise on it , and just stomp the team with low levels. sure the low levels can work together but what if that other team is too? guess who wins then? you betchya the team full of 50s! so please actually learn what your saying before you post it like an ignorant fool.
  8. ive been in enough raids to know its not just a "few" raid leaders who take a bit going through recount , they take long enough where ppl take bio / smoke breaks and then it starts getting monotonous at that point , taking much longer then it should have .

  10. you are right , ive seen someone try to tank , not specced as a tank for defensive bonuses , and in NO tanking gear and had to heal him , i thought the boss was ridiculous then i inspect him and saw what the problem was. i dont see where recount could identify his GEAR and its stats rather then just plain old inspecting gear. but you know ppl they want to be lazy as far as the newer players go and want to judge everything by an addon rather then try to enjoy the game and work together to actually identify whats wrong , as another person posted there are some ppl with ADHD and while the raid leader spends 30minutes scrolling through numbers and recount they pull the boss , rather then just paying attention to the fight and everyones gear. ive lost faith in alot of players lately , i can only hope i find alot who prove me wrong in that matter myself.
  11. oooo i touched a nerve , i sense you are one of those who abuse Recount eh? , but i've seen the combat first hand , its more different as far as anyone who doesn't like to be jerks care , but you don't care so why bother? =P
  12. actually Col no it is not , it may have the holy trinity , but the combat is different compared to wow for example. dont think the trinity system will make it the same.
  13. i generally see no good purpose as how recount generally has worked in the past say for wow , i don't believe it accurately gathers data , there are variables that some addons just cant consider , there's the gear factor , whether someone has the right stats or not , whether they follow a boss mechanic or a healer / tank didn't do the fight mechanic and keep that dps up for example (raid healing) , and then it gets abused HORRIBLY just like gear score did , though GS was worse it can still be abused by morons who judge dps / hps and other factors on trash pull in general , when in the fact is theyll try to judge dungeons , flashpoints here i guess, where trash mobs will generally drop if 1 of the dps is geared out the rear and the other(s) aren't , and will fall behind in dps on those pulls. its a system that can be EASILY abused because most of the newer players love to for some odd reason , just like cross realm dungeons / aka dungeon finders where they can act like jerks and get away Scott free , but that's another topic.
