  1. pretty much what the previous guy said. If you want to level in PVP go pyro, if you want to lvl in PVE go arsenal. It should be noted now however Arsenal isn't just about spamming tracer anymore
  2. I like the new sound personally makes it feel like it's got more punch like a bolt of thunder in the distance.
  3. EDIT: NM I see what your saying now EDIT 2: Actually on second thought wouldn't that work? Unload > Tracer> Unload Proc >Tracer > Tracer > Unload ? Tracer is a 2 sec cast right? So if you unload then get a unload proc on the first tracer you could hit tracer twice more and still have 2 seconds left to hit unload again. Am I not understanding that right?
  4. yeah I guess it depends on the likelyhood of getting an unload proc from 3 back2back TM's if it's like 75% I'd say it would be worth it to get to unload twice in under 8 seconds. Dunno guess I'll try it both ways on the target dummy and see.
  5. Yeah, I was working under the assumption if your getting hit in combat your doing it wrong, so to speak. Sounds like it was about as expected on the rotation though. So do you always want to open with 2-3 TM to get the stacks up or would it be worth it to use an unload first and hope for a unload proc while your building the Heat sig stack?
  6. Hey guys, For multiple reasons I'd rather not get into I decided to re-spec to DPS after the 1.2 healing nerf. Now I've been Bodyguard spec'd since shortly after I hit 50 on my BH about 3 months ago. So I'm a bit clueless on what's good for DPS specs. I was thinking about going arsenal since I primarily plan on doing PVE content. Here's the spec I'm thinking about. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#300McZMskrRrdokfzZf.1 I was trying to decide what good rotation for this build would be as well. I was thinking it would be Tracer Missile > TM to get 4 stacks of Heat sigs on the target then Unload, then TM, Heatseaker Missile. Then PS, and till I get an unload proc or TM to refresh the heat sig stack. Maybe toss in a Rail shot every so often and HM every time it comes off cooldown. Also, how's Pyro for PVE? I've heard it's great for PVP, but I'm looking for the optimal PVE build here.
  7. Exactly, Our ability to spam heals was the one thing that let us keep up with Sorc healing. BW not only took that away but also our overall heal output which was already substandard. To quote "too big to fail" "They didn't drop the ball... They dropped the ball, kicked the coach in the nuts, and took a **** in the Quarterbacks mouth"
  8. What?!? Act I for me was fairly boring. The plot twist was a little to predictable and cliche in general. Really Act I felt more like a set up for act II where the real story began. Act II is where things started to get interesting. To be honest, I don't remember exactly why they wanted you to become a double agent either. That wasn't the important part however. The fact that you seem to think it's more about why you became a double agent in the first place makes me think your missing the good parts of the story here. That's just my opinion though
  9. Ok so, anyone actually seen an official confirmation of the class rebalancing? Is everyone really just running around screaming like there hair is on fire because a "gaming Journalism" site (and I use the phrase loosely with IGN) made a simple comment that "BH's are getting nerfed." The only official comment I've seen on the 1.2 patch is that Bioware won't discus the re-balance until 1.2 hits the PTR. In fact I think it was in a QA a few weeks back they said that they would be BUFFING the merc's healing... Anyone actually consider that maybe IGN got it wrong or isn't portraying the big picture here?
  10. Well to be fair... Not everyone is a fan of PvP. PvE snipers do quite well. Yes there are fights it does suck to be stationary for your dps but it's not that big a deal from what I've seen. I think the bigger reason you don't see many snipers is because everyone wants to be Bobba Fett, Darth Vader, or Palpatine. The Agent is one of the few classes archetypes you never really hear about in the movies. Personally I love my sniper. She's a beast in heroics and op's. There are a few minor annoyances to the class, and I don't pvp with her. All in all, I'm not disappointed.
  11. What, I wasn't dissagreeing with you? It dosn't break CC just objecting to your use of the descriptor of "passive skill." Semantically speaking yes you're correct, but since there are arguably 'passive skills' in the game I say it's best to not confuse them. There are "Passive" SKILLs in the SKILL tree that contains the Kolto Missle SKILL. See what I did there?
  12. You died because I was too busy healing myself from the 3 normals and 2 strong mobs attacking ME while you guys were breaking CC and Dog piling on the 1 elite Also an ACTUAL CONVERSATION I had with a PUG a few weeks back: Tank: I don't think we'll be able to do this instance because the healer can't heal Me: I can heal if we would actually CC and you would aoe taunt and or pickup all the loose mobs. Tank: I won't AoE taunt because you can't even keep yourself alive Me: .........
  13. Hmmm I have an idea... but I'm worried to say it or that if it'll even work. Especially since I don't play on a pvp server nor do I have a character close to meet the required conditions to test it... I don't want to blurt out a zero-day exploit on the forums. Let me ask... Before they disappeared did they do a animation? Did they stand up straight and look like they were activating an item or something?
  14. ??? It's a targeted AoE buff/heal, not sure what your talking about. To answer the OP no it doesn't break CC since it only hits friendly targets like any other heal.
  15. To add to this, patch nomenclature doesn't follow base10 numbers either and is usually just made up by the developer. I.e. you can have a version number like v. 1.3.32b. Basically even if we were currently up to 1.1.9 that wouldn't necessarily mean that the next patch would be 1.2.0
  16. Kinda yes and kinda no. The story for IA makes it pretty clear if your far enough along in it that Intelligence is completely separate from the military and reports ultimately to the Dark Council. It is kind of like the CIA/NSA in terms of being separate from the military and recruiting civilians. However, From various sources (there's a mention in the BH story line) it kinda hints that Intelligence often 'recruits' from the military. This "recruitment" isn't optional and is often forced onto military personnel. Also, there is mention to military like strike teams in Intelligence (reference in the Early BH story line). This is something CIA and NSA dont' really do. They rely on special units in the military I.e. Seal Team 6 for military ops. Basically from my understanding of the Lore, Intelligence is a separate entity from the military and the sith with the sole responsibility of gathering information on and stopping clandestine threats from enemies Foreign and Domestic. If I had to describe them in a nutshell I'd say they are the FBI, NSA, and CIA all rolled into one with the secretiveness and ruthlessness of the KGB.
  17. I know, that's what I'm talking about you have to practically look at a spreadsheet to figure out if I buy this mission discovery this is the grade of materials I will get. Why can't it say what grade item it applies to on the discovery itself?
  18. I'll have to look at it again but last time I remember shopping for crew missions it just provided a required rating on the item not the yield. Mind you, I'm talking about on the item that provides the mission not in the crew skill missions themselves if that makes any sense.
  19. For the mission discoveries could we at least get some text letting us know the Grade of items we will get back from said mission discovery? Right now you have to just look at the "required" rating and figure out roughly what grade of material you'll get back. It'll make discoveries much easier to trade since people will get a clearer understanding of what they're buying. For example what we have now, Mission Discovery: Underworld Trading Requires: Underworld trading (120) We have to look at that discovery, look at the required level, try to remember what mats you were getting at about that level, then buy it and hope you get what you want. This is entirely too complicated and there is a very simple thing you could add that would greatly increase understanding of said mission. E.g. Mission Discovery: Underworld Trading Wealthy Yield: Grade 4 Fabrics/Metals/Companion gifts Requires Underworld trading(120) Right now we have to use the discovery item to get that information. Why can't we just include it in the item description? EDIT: For Clarification purposes I'm referring to Mission Discoveries a la http://www.torhead.com/item/5SeIslu/mission-discovery-underworld-trading
  20. Hmmm I sense a lot of broken hearts coming in the future...
  21. Do all panels have to be active to activate the last panel? Last night we activated the first set to get people into the second set. Then the first set people suicided and ran back. Then the second set people activated panels and the first set people grappled up and tried to activate the last panel. When we did that though it kept saying "charging" and the last grapple point never activated. Only thing we could figure is maybe all panels have to be active in order to get to the last grapple point? which means you HAVE to have 5 to do this. With the last person preferable being a sorcerer.
  22. First watch this, then close your eyes and imagine... and by that I mean... Imagine what if they didn't kidnap Lucas and replace him with an imposter...
  23. Yeah, only problem is I like to RP my story quests. When I did that fight my agent wanted nothing less than to see him pay for his crimes. Even if it meant doing some damn despicable things to ensure it happened. The only way to ensure that he was brought to justice required fighting him.
  24. There's a pretty nice looking T-visor helmet off the final boss in D7 normal. And there's nothing wrong with a BH looking mandalorian. Be proud!
  25. More like impossible. RP or no RP I'd kick him out of my group in a heartbeat. Without a adv. spec your the PC equivalent of a companion.
