  1. Except that a legacy unlock only requires a sub, maybe some credits and actually playing the game, not having to wait for someone else to buy a QOL feature so you can buy it from them in credits like any other F2P who just decided to give this game a try. I believe it's the reason people sub to begin with.
  2. They haven't lied, yet, that's why I've been here for the last few days, to keep it that way. If 2.1 goes live the way it is, they will have lied. All I'm trying to say is what noobzor just said, English not being my first language and frustrating exchanges of words with other posters may have affected my wording.
  3. I'm looking at the cartel market right now and it seems they consider everything they put up there worth 3 months of allowance, with the exception of cartel packs, which go up to 360 a piece. I don't think that consideration in our best interest. It obviously isn't. But that's now what I'm talking about right now, the Cartel Market is a necessary evil that's why I don't voice my concern with the pricing in there, what we're talking about now is the fact that they're putting 'cartel market in your sub' now, while they claimed this wouldn't happen, see my sig. It's bait and switch. It lowers subscription value. It isn't right.
  4. True. First time I read it it already left a bad taste in my mouth. Not saying I saw this coming, but it certainly made me feel like my subscription was worth less.
  5. In a interview with Dulfy they have stated that yes, it is going to be slider based, but it's going to charge CC per slider, regardless of sub status. Cathar are 600 CC for everyone, it isn't available to pick and level up to 50 to unlock for all classes, no way to unlock it in legacy like HK-51, no discount, nothing. I don't mind this as much as the customization thing though.
  6. Then they should charge for race change exclusively. Again, if you're going be condescending and want to tell me how wrong I am do it right.
  7. WoW charges in game currency. GW2 is B2P. If you're going to tell me how wrong I am at least be right.
  8. Well, color me blue and call me Chiss, she did need to be told again. Not sure how this happened, but I agree with you.
  9. If you paid a small amount of attention to what OTHER people are saying for once, you'd know that the main issue is content in general. Charging for re-customization is the biggest issue here, people have issues with Cathar as well but it doesn't seem to be the reason for their anger as much as the actual QoL feature. And I already told you I'm not discussing this with you any further, I doubt it'll stick this time, but tomorrow after 24+h of wondering why I haven't responded, when you finally decide to read other people's posts, hopefully you'll read this sentence again and it'll get through.
  10. The flaws in our thinking process huh? When has BioWare EVER done anything wrong in your opinion? You've been identified in this thread as something you've been identified as in other places of the forum a long time ago. I don't think you need to be told again. I normally quickly scroll past the hideous colors you use in your sig that make it easy to recognize your posts, but you've gone too far this time, basically calling us what, handicapped? Big groups of people are quitting over the fact that BioWare is charging to use features in a QoL/patch, the same people who GLADLY pre-ordered for ROTHC regardless of it's content to support the game, knowing the financial predicament this game was in. However no one realized it was going to be the new standard, we gave them a hand and they're taking an arm.
  11. What's even more troubling is the fact that we got them to give F2P 2 extra actionbars when they realized it could potentially stop acquisition of new players, but when it comes to doing right by their subs there's not enough ****s they couldn't give. They're doing something no other game has done before, charging for use of the barbershop. That's just shows how much they consider us to be 'not going anywhere'.
  12. 2.1. is the first step towards what you're afraid of.
  13. Wanna stop double and triple posting all the time, MajikMyst? It's bad enough that you have no idea what your talking about without me having to see half a page of it. Second your way of thinking is so irrational and based on assumptions and 'facts' you have no sources of, and everyone else's attempt at making you understand our side seem to bounce of that head, so I'm not even going to try discussing this with you. Again, this. Stop being greedy BioWare, you've already told us you're making more than enough money from the CM both at GDC and multiple interviews, milk your customers like this and you will have successfully attempted to kill SWTOR a second time, and this time it'll probably stick, at least for me and everyone I play with. This is the dumbest decision you're ever going to make with this game if you guys go through with it, diminishing subscription value and losing a lot of us, and making the chances of F2P subscribing even less likely. Why the hell would we subscribe if we're going to have to pay for basic features anyway? I know our answer is, we won't. Before any of you pro defenders get all mad and on your high horse, by our I mean my guildies, my friends and I, and everyone else who agrees with me. So...
  14. There's no room in there for someone else's opinion/interpretations is there? I don't see what you contribute to this discussion/protest, all you do is tell everyone how wrong they are and repeat what you think over and over until I assume, we all cave and agree or something? Sorry, I'm just going to stop discussing this with you.
  15. The fact that they give away 1-50 reduced your sub value by that much, they added the cartel coins so they wouldn't have to actually lower their price. But if you want to see it as a gift then by all means, I suppose it makes your SWTOR experience more fun in a way.
  16. This has to be one of the best posts ever. Very well said, I'm still hoping they'll change their minds about this. BioWare. Instead of making this free for subscribers and charging F2P, thus making subscription look better and getting more people to subscribe long term, resulting in a healthier and higher quality game while at the same time making your subscribers happy, you decide to put everything behind a paywall for everyone to make fast, probably less money as soon as possible at the risk of losing subscribers and leaving a bitter taste in everybody's mouth. Launching a content update and charging subscribers lowers the value/incentive of subscribing, be it 2.1 or any other content update in the future.
  17. Way to screw your playerbase over. Forget you guys.
  18. Hopefully we can get some dev response in here, since all we can do as players is voice our concern.
  19. Dulfy interview. 600 CC for the Cathar. 800 CC for re-customization, but it's slider based. So ''you can change your eye-color and just be charged for that.''
  20. To me it is part of character creation which I supposedly have full access to, according to the swtor/free page, and according to Blaine Christine during a livestream. Species should either come with expansions or be free for subs, re-customization should be free always, or in game currency.
  21. I'm not talking about Cathar specifically, like I said a couple of posts ago. I'm worried about the new standard BioWare is setting for SWTOR as far as content updates go. 2.1 content SHOULD be free for subscribers. I really explained my point already in several posts in this thread, I don't expect you to wade through all of the others to find them, but I'm not going to repeat myself either.
  22. Define subscription, it obviously doesn't mean what it meant before F2P. Everyone has access to the game now. Essentially subbers are paying for WZs and operations and some other minor stuff. If I sub I expect to have access to the entire game minus Cartel/vanity crap. New species and a recustomization is a content update subscribers should have access to it at no extra cost. That's what I was told. I don't need no Cartel stuff in my game, that's why I subbed and try to avoid CM stuff, if BioWare wants to cross that line and make a few quick bucks they can do that, but they'll definitely lose a lifetime subscriber here.
  23. See one post above you to see why it IS false advertising.
