  1. Still would need a quote to believe that. If the CE Vendor is a thing where they add a new set every few months, that's interesting, and certainly rewards the blind investment alot of people made. But like I said, it'd require some sort of quote to be believable.
  2. Yeah, a link to that quote from a dev would pretty much clear this up. It's not that big of a deal if we actually get some sort of confirmation from Bioware that this is going to be handled. As it is, part of the problem is that they've been silent on the issue of the CE store for so long.
  3. I played with G.I Joes growing up. Also, to be serious. The statue is worthless as something other then eye candy. And the sound track will probably be available for cheap later on. The store was the big thing that came with the CE. To see it unfinished so close to release, and with no word on what's going on ahead of time from Bioware is...Disheartening, at best. At worst, it makes me worry a rep is going to show up post-release and say "That's it, folks, deal with it.". At which point you'll probably see the forums physically ignite with rage from all the people who got ripped off.
  4. You're missing the point. Reread what i've posted again.
  5. That's my hope. In the mean-time, i've made a support ticket about it trying to get clarification on what's up. Since the vendors are obviously unfinished. And if not that, the current vendors are hardly usable by every class. Consulars and Smuggers are flat out out of luck in buying something for their class as it is now.
  6. It was a quote made by one of the devs a few months ago at one of the conventions or something, I believe. It's been a long time since I heard it, so I couldn't give you the precise details, or where specifically I heard it, but the understanding I believe was that you wouldn't be excluded from using the stuff by class, like you are now. If I play a Consular or Smuggler, there's literally no companion customization items I can use. And the current social armor doesn't fit either, unless you want to pretend you're going undercover as a republican officer. If nothing else, to show you that something is in fact up, the Republic VIP vendor is completely empty at the moment. The only item it has in it is the shared buyable speeder between the two factions. This is what was in it a few builds ago: Suffice to say, that it was stocked. And I have no idea what's going on. The items in the VIP vendor were obviously not moved to the CE vendor, too. And the Security Authenticator Vendor (Ironically, at the moment, the cheapest way to get exclusive stuff, and currently the most well stocked.) seems to have a fair selection of gear itself. I have to wonder if something is screwed up in this build, or if they just forgot to put it in.
  7. So I just got my CE, and I can confirm that it's not working right. Here's the only items that are available for Republic players: One Corso Riggs Customization item (7) Hutt Observer Pet Republic Officer Armor set One T7 Customization Item (7) This...Cannot be right. In fact, this is downright horrible. So you're telling me that if I didn't telepathically know to play Trooper or Jedi Knight ahead of time, I can't get anything that fits my class? What? Update: The VIP vendor only has the speeder. Apparently all the customization items the Imperials VIP shop has don't exist for the Republic. Can a Bioware rep comment on this?
  8. Unless the feature isn't finished, I don't see why they would. Only a small number of people, comparatively, are going to be using that vendor. Of course, given that we were lead to believe that there'd be a ton of cosmetic armor options, it's entirely possible it just isn't finished, or doesn't work the way it appears too.
  9. Is that what's on the vendor for them? Also, what class did you see that on?
  10. Indeed. There's a VIP vendor, a CE vendor, and a Security Authenticator vendor. The former has the same customization options as the Security Authenticator Vendor, and the CE vendor, from what little I can tell, along with a unique speeder. The Authenticator vendor has a dancers outfit that's colored for each faction (White or Black, I think.), that looks like something Leia wore in RotJ along with the customization options the other two vendors have. All in all, it's a huge let-down. They spent all this time being vague about the the CE vendor contents, making people go "Oooh! Must have!" and it turns out it appears to have pretty much nothing in it. Which is why I made this topic. For a big feature like that, it just doesn't make sense unless something got borked, or Bioware's PR people messed something up somewhere.
  11. So people are starting to leak pictures of the CE vendor contents. And I have to say, it's kind of looking like the CE owners got screwed over. The vendor's been the big "sell" for alot of people, as noone knew what was in it, and a number of unique cosmetic sets were implied to have been in there. What we have now is a single set revealed on the Imperial side of things, Imperial Trooper armor. A bunch of customization items that are shared with the $6.50 Authenticator vendor, and maybe, a pet. So really, not much of anything unique at all. This seems kind of...Unfinished, for what was talked about, don't you think? And if not that, misleading. I can guarantee you that most people didn't buy the CE for the Malgus statue, which can actually already be purchased independent of the collection, thanks to it not being that exclusive. So it's not much of a "collectors" item. Do the vendors cycle? Or is this just not a finished feature yet? It'd be interesting to figure out what's going on. Also, people with massive entitlement issues ("YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR LOL", "Why are you complaining about that thing with the feature that they kept discussing at the cons, grow up!".) need not bother posting. That sort of immaturity isn't why this topic is here. The point is to figure out what the CE vendors contain for certain, and why. Quick Edit: Here's some pics of the Imperial side CE vendor. http://i.imgur.com/RzUaOh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/wVhXgh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/YwI3Sh.jpg UPDATE!: I just got my CE, and checked the CE vendor. And I have to say that i've gone from curious about this, to ticked, having seen what's there. These are the only items there: One Corso Riggs Customization item (7) Hutt Observer Pet Republic Officer social armor set One T7 Customization Item (7) To say that that's horrible is an understatement. What happened to every class getting a unique look? What happened to, well, not needing to not needing to read the future to get items that other classes would want to use? This had seriously better not be the finished product.
