Thanks for the response- Okay, I will keep doing what I'm doing then. I have been stacking defense as well. I did get a shield from a 55 FP I can't remember which one, but it was a BM shield with all defense and shield chance on it. It's so frustrating to gear when they do such stupid things to the stats. Unless they plan on completely changing the math on mitigation, why on earth do I have a tanking earpiece with alacrity in it? >.< Arg!

Hi Guys- I'm currently at some sort of an impasse when it comes to gear. I have the coms to buy a few pieces of BM gear but it's just stacked with absorption. Right now, I'm in all 66 with the exception being my shield, shield and bracers which are BM and my boots which are Arkanian. Is all the absorption gear just not worth getting? Will it affect my survivability badly to lose the defense? I've been reading the theory craft threads that are going and it seems that all answers point to keeping the defense over absorption. Any suggestions? Or should I stay with what I have until I've got enough for the UW stuff?

I feel the same; the Nautolans are a very, very aestetically and lore-wise interesting race.

lol I'm reminded of a quest in the Sith starter zone. You have to kill like a bajillion (yes, I said a Bah-JILLION) slaves and guards because the quest giver says (more or less) 'The plans will be worth a TON of credits. In order to get the plans, you have to collect the canisters that are guarded by a ton of people who are out to kill you. You need to kill, maim and destroy all of those stinky slaves and icky renegade soldiers and defective killer robots, then get the canisters and put them in the computer to get the plans. It will also ruin Lord So-and-so if he loses those plans that we will sell to a friend of a friend of my pet banthar's cousin! Credits will rain from the sky! You will build an ark, herd animals two-by-two and it will RAIN CREDITS for FORTY DAYS AND NIGHTS! I'm SO excited! Aren't you? *squeeee*' And when you hand it in, you get your cut in the mail. 135 credits with a note that says, 'HEREZ YER PHAT LOOTZ!' Talk about disappointment.

Thanks for the help-- I've been reading a lot of the complaints about the fps being so low and I guess it's a very common problem. I just blamed it on my laptop being old- but it has never given me this much of a problem before. I guess we'll just have to have patience and hope that they'll get these issues fixed. It's a beautiful game and so rich in lore-- it's just a shame something like this could ruin it. It's also hard to revert back to a game that runs like this when a lot of us are so used to our bajillion fps on a game as refined as WoW is.

Heya... I've been trying to figure out a way to make the game playable on my laptop. It is very glitchy and feels more like a flipbook than a game I would love to get a new computer soon but for now, this is it. It's an older laptop but I've never had issues playing other games (Read: WoW). I turned off shadows and bloom, set the grass/tree settings to low. I added your line of code and yet, I'm still having problems. Maybe I am missing something that you computer savvy guys might see. I have NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GS and I just downloaded the newest driver. My system seems to be up to date. Dxdiag client_settings.ini Graphics_Mirror.ini
