  1. A few minor issues aren't gonna cost them anything more at this point, I say full steam ahead!!! Besides they can fix these small annoyances after release none of them are gamebreaking issues.
  2. Whiny entitlement players are everywhere, not just MMOs. Just look through the comment section of any Android/iPhone game, players give 1 star and say "make the game easier, nerf this or that, and I'll give you 5 stars". It's a symptom of our society, because kids are told from a young age that they're special and their opinion matters.
  3. You cannot post without an active subscription. I was unsubbed for months and recently came back after hearing about the updates, during that entire period I was unsubbed I followed the forums but could not post on any forum topics. If you claim you are unsubbed and are still posting maybe you forgot that you resubbed.
  4. I pay to win every night. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
  5. Fortunately the sound isn't that big a deal in MMOs as it is in adventure games. Most people I know play with their own music in the background.
  6. I think the devs know what to work on without the community bickering over it. Atleast it is their game, let them work on what they want to. It sucks coding features you don't personally care about or think add to your product.
  7. Yes but LOTRO doesn't have the same cauldron of hate that this game has brewing on its doorsteps (have you looked around the fan forums at what people are saying? I mean these people are supposed to be fans!). Opening that door would allow all those players in and their constant whining would ruin it for everyone else.
  8. Obviously there would be a boost, but the real question is - do you think the game would be better with those players? Right now the cost serves as a barrier to involvement for alot of destitute riffraff.
  9. Just because Asian MMOs have tried and failed doesn't mean Bioware will, have some faith little dude!
  10. So let me get this straight... This "dilemma" needs to be addressed because... you say it does? WoW didn't have name/race changes at launch either. Give Bioware time and I'm willing to bet they will implement all these features someday too, but rudely urging them isn't gonna make them feel very enthusiastic about it.
  11. I'd spend maybe $30 on transfers, $25 on namechanges, $20-$25 for new planets, maybe $15 on Legacy features, maybe $20 for facechanges/haircuts... I'd have to see what else they come up with before providing more estimates.
  12. I think Bioware has been eyeing F2P for a long time, or atleast designing the game with this in mind. You see how the planets are all separate instances. They could easily charge for additional planets in the future. I'd be willing to pay maybe $20-$25 per planet if Bioware needs the money, either way I'm sure we'll learn more soon.
  13. I fail to see how linking this kind of information is 'smearing', and if anything it's lifting the veil on EA (which I'm all for) and not SW:ToR.
  14. I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties. Don't be too hard on Bioware, people have all sorts of different computer systems and it's impossible to avoid all driver conflicts. You know it's still not too late to purchase the collector's edition of the game. That edition comes with an audio CD holding most of the music ingame, so you can listen to it while you play.
  15. Agreed. Don't they know that TOR is the fastest growing MMO of all time. Rome wasn't built in a day, give it time it's been less than 6 months.
  16. I agree OP the whole game could use some toning down. Not every one of us is a hardcore gamer and hopefully Bioware will soon realize it.
  17. If you honestly believe that, then why even request server forums? When sooner or later everyone is playing on the same one, we can just use this forum and save Bioware the trouble.
  18. Yea and what happens next patch when the rest of the servers fill back up... Bioware will have 3 forums for every server? Do you have any idea how difficult that will be to navigate let alone implement.
  19. wait for primetime in your area and then check out http://www.swtor.com/server-status See which servers are labelled as LIGHT and join one of them because they need a few more players.
  20. Sounds like this may be an issue with your SoundBlaster OP, you may wanna save up and purchase a better computer, or atleast a new soundcard.
  21. I expect this will happen, however don't expect to see it anytime soon. Transferring data from one server to another is an enormously complicated procedure and as we've already seen it has taken a team of the best and brightest engineers many months to enable one-way transfers. But have patience if enough people stay subscribed I think there's a definite chance we will see this someday.
