  1. But there you go, you'd have to have a marauder or at least another player with you. I wasn't talking about being focused by two or more players. If it's two or more I will die 95-100% of the time. That's just how it is. I was talking about only one player trying to kill me while his teammates ignored me. The guy alone wasn't really doing any damage to me besides pinching. And that was my point. Is that one dps sage alone can't klll a healer like the burst of a sniper can. I've also seen the same thing happen with lethality snipers who try to kill operative healers (don't have an operative myself), and the operative just never dies.
  2. So I cleanse and move on to healing maybe? It's instant and it's really not that hard. On global is usually not long enough for someone to die especially when I'm focusing on healing specific targets.
  3. It's funny because almost every time i play my healer, I always come across dps sages that hit me up with their DoT's, and then look confused why I haven't died yet. There was a match the other day where a sage kept doing force sever and I kept cleansing it, and he'd keep re-applying. Kind of felt sorry for him and wanted to tell him to not even waste his force and cooldowns applying DoT"s to me since he'll never kill me that way. Also the reason smash/sweep is OP is because it automatically crits all the time and it does equal amounts of damage over the AOE. That means one guy could do 18-20K damage by literally pressing only one button. Other AOE's, like Orbital Strike, can't do that. Also smash is instant and requires no activation.
  4. Also you do know that there are still people out there who enter level 50 warzones wearing leveling gear? Just played two matches with one today. He was wearing orange pieces that were level 47,and a few green pieces. The only PVP gear he had were the WH implants and earpiece. To complain about people about people wearing full War Hero just because they haven't augmented all their pieces out of all things, LOL ?! It's a process that takes time, they will get there soon enough.
  5. 1. Juggernaut/Guardian (Rage/Focus spec only) 2. Powertechs/Vanguards 3. Marauders/Sentinels 4. Snipers/Gunslingers 5. Shadow/Assassin 6. Mercenary/Commando 7. Sorcerers/Sages 8. Operatives/Scoundrels
  6. Take it easy, they probably just don't have enough credits to augment everything all at once. I augment my gear as I go along gaining credits. So far I'm averaging about 1 or 2 augments a week, five augmented pieces so far. I PVP only because I get bored of dailies real fast, so it takes a while to get enough credits.
  7. Got smashed today for 6129 on my sorc. Full War Hero, two EWH pieces, half augmented, 1330 expertise. 6K is about 1/3 my HP.
  8. I have bad lag too, to the point where I can't really effectively play melee classes, because it will look like people I'm attacking are teleporting across my screen. When I chase I can never catch up, that's why if you get really bad lag, it's not a good idea to play a melee class in this game. With ranged funny things still happen, but it's a little better since you'll never be chasing the guy trying to hit him with your lightsaber and he always appears to be 10 meters away. The problem also works in reverse, if you are a ranged with lag, then the melee with less lag wlil always strike you as you try to kite. Yeah, it's annoying, because my computer is more than equipped to handle this game, yet still major lagging.
  9. Yes, there is definite match-fixing going on that server. Back when I used to play my marauder, I witnessed it first-hand in Voidstar match. It was clear that my Imperial teammates were good buddies with the pubs we were matched against, and they were openly talking about it to each other using /say how they were giving them the win. It happened several times where I'd be on a team, and the Imps weren't even trying to hide the fact that it was a fixed match. That was one of the main reasons I decided to leave that server. Also, every once in a while, maybe one out of every dozen matches or so, we'd come up against a pub team that we'd just steamroll. Winning Huttball 6-0 or triple capping in Alderaan, and it just seemed real fishy because I recognized the pub players that had steamrolled us a few matches back. They were all well-geared, they'd had no trouble beating us last match, and yet here they were losing really badly to the point where it looked like they weren't even trying. It's because they really weren't trying and were probably deliberately going afk. It was obvious what was going on: it was their turn to give the Imps their 1 in 20 matches win.
  10. Jedi Covenant sure lives up to its name. It is a Republic server and always will be. It's true that many Empire players became so frustrated that they re-rolled Republic mains and joined the other side and are now reveling in Republic victory and glory. As for me, I will never play an Imperial character on that server at level 50 again. Under-50 it's okay, Imps win a fair share, but you've got to be a masochist to want to be in the Empire on that server in the level 50 bracket. I had a marauder and a powertech that I quit playing altogether on there, two level 50's that I might as well delete since i haven't touched them in months. I'm glad my other level 50 Imps (sorc and sniper) are on The Shadowlands (got to be that way because I had the brilliant idea of randomly rolling on Corellian Run server last summer ). I could solo que there and get the weekly done in under three hours of playing time.
  11. I don't know, but I sure have gotten out of that Republic haven server for good. I play only my Republic toons on there. Have a gunslinger, a sage, and just rolled a commando the other day. I play my level 50 Imperial characters on The Shadowlands, where I find it to be much more balanced between the two factions. The problem is that my assassin is on JC, and she has six levels to go before 50. Don't know what I'm going to do about that, since they still haven't implemented voluntary server transfers.
  12. He wouldn't be able to do that. The force field wouldn't allow it to work. It wasn't the force leap on this one, it was something else. It could either be a bug/exploit or hack.
  13. That's actually quite creative. I wish the developers would have more creativity with the warzones.
  14. Yeah like above poster said, you met one healer who happened to be an arse. I bet you he's just an arse who just happened to be a healer. If he was playing any other toon/role in any other match he would have probably said the same crap to you. There's just some people that are like that. That said, I have run across healers who think they are gods of pvp, but like I said it's just that's how they are as a person. I've also run across many dps'ers who think they are "carrying the team" and keep saying that in ops chat before they rage quit "I'm tired of carrying you noobs, have fun losers!" /ragequit. It's always a LOL moment. That's just how some people are in MMO's.
  15. Yeah I was thinking the same thing. The OP's numbers seem exaggerated. It's very are to see people doing more than 300K dps or healing in under-50. It does happen sometimes, but it's probably 5-10% of warzones that you see one person do that, and it's usually always a twinked level 49 derpsweeper or a twinked level 45+ operative or sorc healer.
  16. Speed hacks are the most common type of hacks in the game, it's true, Of course BW will do nothing about it. They need to cling on to every last subscriber.
  17. Yeah it happens to me as well. When I play my gunslinger or sniper if I sit up top and defend I'll get 150K-200K damage, we'll usually win the game because of great defense, the score will be something like 4-0, etc. But I will get no MVP votes for doing what i'm supposed to do, that is being the defender. If I run around and shoot at everyone, our defense will be bad, and we'll lose 5-1 or something like that, but I'll do twice the damage and get four MVP votes at the end. When I play my healer I usually always get at least one vote. Some people do understand that they wouldn't be able to do that much dps if they weren't constantly being healed a good healer. Others don't, unfortunately. The other day I healed a pyro powertech who did 500K damage in Huttball, and he got four votes, while I only got one. So he probably realized that the reason he did that much damage was because he had a pocket healer, but everyone else on the team didn't.
  18. Lol so many misconceptions going around about under-50 warzones. Yes snipers can hit hard but it's extremely rare for anyone to get a 5K hit or heal in an under-50 warzone. Also, the average HP in that bracket is 12K. I've never seen anyone with 9K. A guy went in naked as a joke, with his only his weapons, and he still had 11K. The point is that under-50 PVP's main balance issue is abilities unlocked, not gear. And yes, a level 49 would have to be pretty much comatose to be beaten in a one on one by a level 10.
  19. Yeah there are a lot of problems, but it's not horrible to the point where I want to quit entirely. It's still fun for me, and it's the only thing I do or care about in this game, it's the only thing that keeps me around.
  20. On fully augmented War Hero geared players in medium armor or higher? Even my light armor sorc has rarely seen 6K ambushes from snipers since I got my full War Hero set.
  21. 7.2 K. It was back when i still had some recruit pieces though.
  22. Yeah I have to wait till some poor sorc comes along with his light armor, and half Recruit gear to get my ambush to do 5.5 K damage to him. And of course he's just one target. From the other side, as a full WH/EWH sorc (half augmented), I haven't seen many sniper who get a 5K hit on me, despite my light armor. But I still get 6K smashes done to me with 1320 expertise.
  23. It matters only a fraction of what it does in the 50 bracket. You can't deny that in the under-50 bracket gear, while stlil mattering to some extent, matters much less than it does at 50. A fully "twinked" jugg won't be able to smash you for half your HP if you are a level 20 in greens, like he can easily do if you were in the 50 bracket and he was full War Hero and you were in Recruit. A fully "twinked" sorc healer won't be able to crit 2K higher than what you hit him for when he uses his self heal, etc.
  24. That would have to be a really terrible player (the level 49). To answer the OP's question. Yes, gear scales with your stats, but it doesn't matter anywhere near how much it matters in the level 50 bracket.
