  1. This has been an engrossing read from the start. I have been reading this on my iPad and I always leave this tab open and I check it regularly. I am sad to see it end but hopeful that maybe we will see Jresh and Lorrik again someday? Are there any plans to convert this into a adobe document or into an ebook? If yes I would love a copy Of all your stories Osetto this is my favourite. Thank you for this. Avid fan Nicehunter.
  2. I have a Juggernaut tank (same as the guardian) and have him geared to a point. Generally we can survive a lot of spike predictable damage as a cooldown is usually available. If not we can survive but it will be hard. We have the lowest natural shield chance which is needed a boatload of shield chance to compensate to get to 50/50 of shield chance and absorb.Healing we also take more spike damage which makes healing a bit tense but manageable. Our damage is lower than both the assassin and the powertech (shadow and vanguard respectively) and our threat takes longer to build. Don't go near AoE tanking as juggernauts we suck. We pick. The strongest mob and tank that while letting the other members deal with the strongs and weaks. Assassins and powertechs can use there AoE abilities which have a shorter cooldown and hit harder. Our resource is slow to build but is quite manageable and easier then cells or force. On the whole I would put shadows as best for their innate surviibility and threat generation and their damage is higher than the other two (which I've seen on parses of). Vanguards are probably next with their passive mitigation and their ability to generate snap threat (mortar bombardment) and their easier play style. Finally Guardians are last but we can survive damage that the other tanks would die at without a boatload of healing (40% DR 25% max HP and 2s or invulnerability with an additional 50% of saber deflection) and our AoE threat sucks but we have a damn lot of mobility with charge and intercede (able to jump from mobs to players)
  3. I don't PVP so I have no clue how we are doing in there but I can't see how the changes to Ghost (that I proposed) would be too unbalanced. You don't drop into stealth so you can still be seen and make sure you stay facing the op.(make it the HS from Ghost just does damage and not a knockdown?).

Because PVP is where most of the whiners and complaioners are these days and at launch. also it was bad design choice than relics, adrenals and the expertise buffs could all be stacked on each other which lead to the massive Burst an Op was able to put out in those lovely days. Why I choose an Op? Played a Sorc in beta and I felt that it was to boring (just came from WoW with severals 85'a all ranged) and I wanted a change from 30m combat. I also didn't want to be one of the millions with a light saber in hands at the start. And the story just got me hooked I've been healing ever since the nerfs came out and I have occasioned to do dps (when I can convince the other heals and RL to let me) and I'm not the best op but I get within 150 dps of our Sorc and Merc (our PT leaves everyone in the dust). The Op is also unique in the SW universe
  5. Operatives aren't made to take a whole load of damage. That's why we have vanish, evasion and shield probe (lackluster as it is). But in PVE and Ops most dps classes that pull the boss by over ago will die in 2-3 hits same as an Op and we have a better threat dump. But we do need a slight HP increase or maybe a chance for attacks to miss passively? And we need our damage to be increased as well. Not launch levels but higher then now. Not by a huge amount but am N increase. Of course the chance that bioware would look at this is worse than winning the lottery
  6. This is mainly for PVE as I don't PVP i won't go there. Change Ghost in 3 ways. First move it deeper into the tree (from row 4 to 5). Give Ghost a 30 sec cooldown and additionally allow Hidden Strike to be used while Sneak is active. Sneak lasts 8 seconds, the CD of HS is 7 seconds, therefore can only be used once during the sneak. Also increase the movement speed to 75% to be our closer/second escape. Second idea: make Shiv a ranged (10m) and a melee attack (obviously a new animation or just use Sever Tendon). When used at 10m it only deals 50% damage and generates a TA. This gives lethality a way of generating TA when not right next to the boss or running to him. Finally increase the duration of TA to 15 seconds or less. Thoughts? This I think would make DPS Operatives bearable. Not perfect but bearable.

    What if when Darth Traya died, her Spirit anchored to the Exile? There is nothing i have found that states that a malevolent spirit cannot anchor to the living but logically it would be harder. Except that the Exile and Kreia formed a "force bond" which could have allowed Kreia to stay with the Exile. Note i have not finished the SW story so anything i say on the Entity in ToR will most likely be wrong but my idea is valid. IF the Exile was an anchor for Kreia and when Scourge killed Meetra. Kreia had a new location to anchor to. The Emperors palace. Then Baras comes along and does some Sith Sorceror/Alchemy and binds her to an object (I assume since she is summoned as i said not finished the SW story but now i want to). "At some point between Revan's fall to the dark side and encountering Surik, the one thing that fueled Traya's hatred and connection to the dark side the most was ironically the Force itself. She strongly believed in the will of the Force, viewing it as a conscious entity that controlled the destiny of all living beings. Straight from Wookiepedia even though sometimes you have to take it with a grain of salt. The last line of the WP quote is interesting but i think that is the portion you can take with a good helping of salt. As for serving/loving the Emperor he would be a means to the end of the force. Though personally i would prefer severing everyone's connection to it would be a more practical solution plus a lot less messy.
  8. Agents get a force using companion on Hoth. Ensign Raina Temple who knows some tricks with the force but not formally trained nor wants to be. Smugglers get the Mon Calamarian dude who was in training to be a Jedi but didn't complete I think??? They are in game just gotta pick the class
  9. That is actually quite plausible and it does make sense. But so far it doesn't have a function except as a prison unless ive missed something there???
  10. The Mother was a prison for a Rakata entity and besides if the Sith Empire knew of the Mother do you think they would have tried to free her? I Thing BW is playing a bit loose with the Rakata story lines. Personally i cant see why the Rakata would need more than one Super station if the Star Forge could produce Droids as well as star ships, and the Star Forge was able to sustain life as Malak has Jedi Prisoners when you eventully defeat him.
  11. I beat her on my second time as a 29 Madness Sorcerer. First time i had Khem in his Tank mode and she destroyed him before i got her halfway. Second Time i had Khem in DPS mode and i kept aggro on her via Crushing Darkness, Affliction and the occasional Force Lightning. Keep her moving between the pillars and you will take a lot less damage. She has 4 main abilities. Whirlwind which she uses on Khem lasts for about 10secs. Force Storm she does this where you are located so as a Assassin just move her away from her to a separate area or you can interrupt it. Revivification which is a purple AoE which will heal her for about 1-3% of her health while she stands in it. Also chain lightning but just LoS this while she does this. ive completed the Agent Chap 1 boss and he was much harder than Zash.
  12. I have really enjoyed this story. I am wondering what was the purpose of attacking the convoy? Personally I cannot see why The Master did that. The Master is a very interesting character and if possible can we see him return?
  13. This is excellently thought out and argued. Personally I feel that there is no distinction between "Light" and "Dark" which you also state in your piece. The only distinction is in the user's minds. Have you thought on how the individuals environment, more specifically there up bringing can affect their personality? In the SI story you were a Slave who rises up to become a Dark Lord of the Sith. In one of the early quests on Korriban, a Jedi is held captive who has being manipulated by the "Dark Side" of the Force. He mentions that if you had being born in the Republic, you would be a Jedi not Sith. Is this distinction fostered within your respective culture? What if you were not within the Republic/Sith? Would your perception on the Force change? More food for thought: What of those Sith who decided to be redeemed? (Main example Revan) what is their idealogy now. Do they become Jedi or those who live between the Light and Dark? Remember Revan was Jedi > Sith > Jedi > Something more. In Revan, Revan is allowed to continue his relationship with Bastilla as long as he refrains from discussing his The Force. No Light, No Dark just the Force. Also the so called Grey Jedi like Qui-Gon Jin and Jolee Bindo. They realise that there is just the Unifying and Living Forces and yet they are condemned for their views. Gui-Gon is a maverick and Jolee went into exile. How do they play into your theories? Currently i am also working on a fan fic on my Sorcerer as a more compassionate but still power/knowledge who decides to see on the other side of the fence. Passion rules thought. Serenity is the path to understanding. Ignorance rules power. Knowledge is the path to strength. Weakness rules the masses. Control is the path to victory. Through my will the Force is done. Through my will the Force prospers. An interesting take on the codes
  14. Vader wasn't the only force user who could absorb energy. Corran Horn did it as did Neja Halcyon (he drains a light saber dry and uses the influx of power to turn a dark Jedi into paste). The absorbed energy can then be used to amplify your own force powers (which is why Sateale was able smash Malgus into the mountain). Personally I would be fine with the light saber out if the lightning could wrap around it (like the dark charge for assassins). I think for the long cast abilities that the saber does deactivate (chain lightning, force storm) but I'm not sure I just remember no saber active for CL. I also think it turns off for dark infusion as well.
  15. I was able to solo at 29 took 2 hours but is perfectly doable. I was specced as concealment (operative) and use kaliyo as free dps. (I had the talent revitalisers for the passive heals which helped). Use flash bang so you can top yourself with kokto injection. You tank him around the data consoles on the right side (looking at him). Use distraction for his thundering blast and if you can't use the consoles to break LoS. Do that for lightning strike as well. Keep your hp high as he casts affliction a lot and it can quickly whittle your health down. Keep corosive dart on him at all times, keep Kal in her damage mode so she can do a butt load of damage to him while you keep agro. 1st phase is the hardest as thundering blast can easily knock 60-70% off your health. After the first section it gets easier as his abilities hit for much less. It just takes patience. This guy is quite challenging which is a breath of fresh air for me The next major quest boss you kill (After Hoth) is much easier (41 elite and I soloed him at 37). For snipers this will be tricky but doable.
  16. that is because laceration has a 50% chance of proccing a collateral strike (10sec ICD) which has the 100% to refund the TA on a poisoned target (Corrosive dart and i assume Acid Blade).
