  1. Grammar is something you should "have" learned in the first place. "should have, not should of..."
  2. I appreciate your encouragement. However, your statement implies that the Ilum incident was an accident. It was a blatant mistake. In the engineering world when "stuff" happens, we call it failure of imagination. This was failure to listen, and failure to plan. In my world you either die or get fired for it. I know this is just a game, but I expect professional decisions and behavior from people at their salary grade.
  3. I think you are probably correct. I made this post because in many circles, silence = consent. I speak out in protest of poor leadership at Bioware at this time.
  4. Gabe, What's the word on rollbacks on valor? Or are you leaving that up to Spongebob and Patrick again... we'll make this patch, to fix this patch, to fix this patch, to fix this patch, to fix this patch, to fix this patch, to fix this patch, to fix this patch that this guys COUSIN, fixed. Sincerely, Dr. R. Edit: added the word Valor
  5. Ahhhh.... you guys made me smile Maybe it is in Dexter's lab and they are looking for DeeDee to push the button
  6. /signed. I have talked to colleagues at my university and the Hero engine is the main problem.
  7. /signed Actually there are 2. The one in Castle Panteer, and the one on the bugged platform on Corellia (the platform that doesn't exists). The one on Corellia has a workaround for smaller body types. However, the way bioware thinks right now, reaching it might actually be an exploite
  8. With the timing of the patch this morning, I am starting to become irritated. I actually had some time to play this morning. Was looking forward to some coffee and destressing from RL
  9. Dear Gabe and other Bioware Devs, I don't normally post this kind of thing in forums, but apparently the Bioware devs read the forums. They just don't listen to the players prior to doing bonehead things like they did with this patch. I've played every major MMO launch in the last 5 years and some small ones. I continued to play Darkfall for nearly a year because it was actually very fun PvP as a guild, and that game was bugged to hell. But I am tired of bugged code. I really enjoy TOR at the moment, mainly because my guild is progressing through the Raid content. I am a huge Star Wars fan, so that probably has a lot to do with it. I mainly PvP in other games and that was my intent here. We will probably have seen all of the raid content I care to see in two months, and I will be itching to PvP on my alt. If you haven't fixed that and other bugs by that time, then I will most likely unsub. You should have been able to buy a lot of talent with the budget you had. Apparently they have no leadership skills. From one professional to another, you need to learn to listen to people who are in the field and current in what is going on out there. That is your player base. You were warned over and over again about Ilum. Some of the bug fixes were things that nobody ever said anything about in the forums. There is a simple philosophy that states 90% of your fixes lie within 10% of you problems. This is called "low hanging fruit". Your players know what those problems are. My understanding after talking to Computer Science types that I know, is that it is the Hero engine that is your low handing fruit. Yet you fix things like the hot bar. I am thinking that these fixes are based in the fact that that is the limit of you "talent". So, I will give this game two months at most. As much as I love it at the moment and Star Wars, there is no point in playing a game that can't be fixed if you don't have the talent or the wrong engine. Sincerely, Dr. R. Edit: typo
  10. Aleeha, apparently you have never been to Ilum and are most likely a troll. The particular area of Ilum that people went to is a PvP daily zone. It is that way on ALL servers. The people who went there had no choice to die immediately because they were being killed at the spawn point. As posted in other threads, it was actually considered an "exploit" to use a certain method to STOP being farmed. Maybe if you hit 50 and had been there you might underdstand. Or else you are just an Imp who used the exploit to your advantage.
  11. Thanks for the tips guys. I will try it your way. Much appreciated.
  12. I wish I hadn't read this... now I will always think "Hamburger" when I use it
  13. Improved stock strike would be nice if it were lower in the tree. I leveled Gunnery. I am a medic now, and I really wish I had it. However, you still have Cryo Grenade and Concussive Charge. I use them in PvP all the time. And I knocked Malgus into the void with CC the other day
  14. Not sure how I feel about PvP healing as a Medic at 50. I love it in PvE. But, I mainly play to PvP. I rolled Commando to PvP endgame as a Medic. The problem is that most of my healing on the fly and much of my healing mechanic/rotation is based on being able to spam Hammer Shot to be effective. If I use HS, I get swarmed immediately. The problem with this is that I paint a green line back that says: <<-kill this guy right here->> I can't be an effective healer without it. Sure, I could hide and try to heal using Probe, but really without HS, it's not effective. I am seeing much lower level Sages out heal me by a factor of 2. I never see other medics on the boards having healed. Then again, some of my BGs only have 6 republic in them period. I'm kinda bummed about PvP right now Edit: BTW, I still love the game. It's just that I'm called a "COMBAT MEDIC". Instead, I feel like a target dummy.
  15. I absolutely love this game. Got to 50 on my commando 2 days ago. However, grinding dailies and repeating the same warzones seems very musch like... well I don't even want to say it. It gives me trepidation about the future. I have faith in you BW. So, roll out more warzones soon please. Also, with all of the talent you must have hired, please come up with something new for world PvP. Standing in the Ilum landing zone taking turns with the Imperials blowing up each others armored personnel carriers (literally) to complete dailies is not my kind of fun. I would kill them but there are usually 3 of them and one of me. They don't kill me till we have the daily finished. Maybe you can figure out a way to fix the PvP number imbalance between Imperial and Republic players in PvP areas and warzones. You must have someone with some original ideas. I played Darkfall and Eve for a while. Look at their systems for territory and alliances. Let us take some space or something and hold it for a while and make it have some benefit so we try to keep it (not like WAR). Anyway, not an I quit thread because I still have other classes to level. But please use some creativity.
  16. Can anyone confirm that Investigation yields unique schematics? Thx
