As a valor 56 Combat medic I personally fear a good Marauder, there's about 3 on my server that if I see I know I'll be taking a dirt nap if I don't get some back up, and even then I'll probably be eating dirt. A good Operative or even Jugg will make healing a major pain. It's already been said, but people really waste their stuns/cc/fill up the resolve bar crazy early. Also forcing the healer to fucus themself, then swtiching targets and leaving one person on the healer for interrupts/stuns is the best way of dealing with ANY healer, not just Commandos. If I'm forced into chosing between keeping myself alive or my buddy, chances are one of us is going down.

    None of those will interrupt any boss ability that needs to be interrupted.
  3. First, what are you defining a slow and a snare as? In all the years that I've played MMO's slow=snare. Second you stated in a previous post that Commandos get no slow or snare. It's been pointed out that we do. If you think Sweltering Heat is trash you're bad. I won't argue that the Gunnery snare is lackluster at best. I also wish we had an interrupt(as does everyone in my guild). Hell, I agree with most eveything you posted about Assualt Spec.
  4. Yes, but they require 400 skill, and biometric crystal alloy. Also they can crit for an augment slot.
  5. No armstech schematics drop at all above level 39. Also those "awesome" orange guns we can make at 400 skill, I've seen at least 4 of them drop from normal level 50 FP. So yea we can crit on our orange crafts, but why bother?
  6. You want your daily done in a few minutes? Roll Republic. Every day my guild rolls out to Ilum with 10-15 people, we regularly slaughter the 20-25 imps that camp there. We're done with our daily in 30 minutes. We usually stick around for an hour or two as more Rebuplics come out to join us. After about 2 hours of owning the zone the Imp call on their numbers to crush us once when it's 3:1 and we bail. If you aren't part of the solution you are part of the problem.
  7. You don't have to run them on normal. You do have to pick up the chain quest to initially go in, Jedi prisoner I think it's called. Once you have that quest you end up with [GROUP] Taral V. Drop it and talk to the droid to get [HARD] Taral V. You get credit and then get the next step for Maelstrom. You have to drop the [GROUP] and talk to the droid to get the [HARD] mode quest as well. You can also do this with Directive 7.

    400 Armstech

  9. A: I had the quest stuck in my log for a while, at one point I was actually able to go back to the quest area and just do it to remove it from my log, though I was like lvl 40ish. B: It doesnt make much sense, but you don't get the title right away, you have to do a little more of the story quests and then you will get it. C: Along the same lines, Elara won't talk until you get to the point you actually have the title. I had her at 6-7k affection when I finished Chapter 1, once I actually had the captain title and talked to her she had enough dialog quests to fill what seemed like an hour.

    400 Armstech

    The one orange Assualt Cannon I made for myself on a whim critted. As a combat medic it looks to be the best I can have right now since I have it loaded with a 126 barrel and mods I ripped out from duplicate champ gear. That's probably the only thing that's kept me from dropping it in hopes that Armstech gets some lovin soon. I've made plenty of money with Armstech, selling blue/purple weapons in the 25-45 range. Making money isn't in issue in this game. My gripe is that there are NO dropped schematics over level 39.
  11. Because there is nothing else to really spend the money on? I have well over 1million credits after buying rank 3 speeder training, all my bag slots, and all 3 cargo bays. If crafting wasnt such a joke atm I might be able to actually sell some of the purple armstech weapons/barrles I can make right now. Or at the very least sell the investigation mats. Why am I going to waste my time leveling an alt for storage I don't even need?
  12. Currently hard modes give NO alignment or social points. They pop up on the screen like normal, but you never get them. Annoying as hell since at this point my alt will have more social points than my main when I'm running at least 3 hard mode dungeons a day.
  13. I've gotten a lot of schematics, all of them have been for synthweaving/armormech and a rare one or two for biochem. I've also not seen a single schematic on the GTN for armstech that is for making an item over level 39. I'm also noticing this trend with boss drops. Where the hell are the 400 skill armstech schematics?
  14. Went into D7 hardmode for the first time last night. No one in my group had even done the place on normal. We wiped once on Bulwark, everyone else we one shot. The Mentor fight was pretty cool and fun. Out of all the hardmodes it's probably my favorite.

  16. I figure I'll be overly redundant. Snag pics of the item equiped on the character page, unequipped in my inventory, maybe throw it on my companion. AND snag pics of the crewskill windows and such.
  17. I'm double checking the item database sites and I could be mistaken. I know in game it does not list an augment slot in the crafting window, but both torhead and darth hater show all of my craftable weapons(green/blue/purple/orange) with the augment slot. It might just be something funky BW did with the 400 skill oranges/the crew skill window not displaying them right, or the item databases are off. Either way when I get home in a few hours I'll snag a pic of the crewskill window and the actual item. Post it in any relevant threads.
  18. It can be. I crit crafted the 400 orange armstech cannon. It's what I've been using since champ bags hate me and there is no info on where to get the columni token/weapon that I've seen. I'll post a pic for proof once I get home from work.
  19. It doenst work with all of them. It seems like they may have meant to convert some lower purples over to orange and they missed the tag. None of the level 50 purples I have seen let you rip out/change the armoring mod. Not that it matters since the 50 purples have better armoring than you can buy with commendations.
  20. The armstech trainer. At 400 skill he has reciepes for cannons, pistols, rifles, and even the "other" melee weapons that are all orange. They also require the Biometric Crystal Alloy, which you can only get from doing heroic/hard mode flashpoints.
  21. Sorry to say, it's not a real quest. You can't go visit her again even though her mail asks you too. She does show up MUCH later in the trooper story quests though.
  22. No I won't. The only reason I'm not medic spec is because there aren't enough 50 republic players to even attempt to counter the Imperial groups and it's less painfull to take down 2-3 people than stand around tring to heal a bunch of people below 30. Don't get me wrong Assualt is FUN as hell to play in the warzones, but right now, gunnery is simply better for warzones.
  23. I've been facing the same 2-3 premade teams everyday since I hit 50 on my commando. I had been Assault, but switched to gunnery just to give it a whirl. No way in hell will I be going back. The only time Gunnery really suffers is if you are in a full pug vs a premade, and at that point chances are good that you're getting bent over no matter what spec you are. You don't need to stack 5 grav rounds on someone. Usually 1-2+Demo round+HIB is enough to either make someone run away to try and heal, or damn near kill them if it all crits. 1v1 I can take down any non tank without breaking a sweat.
