  1. I'd like to add to the discussion, considering the LightClaymore. It seems to me that there would be a solid beam coming across the saber where the prongs are, like a partial redirection of the blade. Part of the hilt just covers the crossing of the beams. If another saber did connect with the hilt where the cross occurs, it would probably just reveal the bear inside. Claims of cutting his own hand off are ridiculous as well, because if he is a Sith and trained in the Force and trained with his saber, there really isn't any threat of hurating himself.
  2. I'd highly suggest heading over to ebon-hawk.net. Great website that focuses on this server. As for guilds, Fulcrum of the Galaxy is recruiting, and we're a medium-RP Guild looking to get into everything else the game has to offer. Message Jasho Baden or Vernus in-game for some more info.
  3. Actually, the servers took a big hit when BioWare or whoever wiped the forums clean at one point. LOTS of RPers (myself and my old guild included) headed off to SWTOR-RP.com and websites. The forums here never really recovered after the wipe.
  4. So much win! So I'm guessing I couldn't take my little 9 dollar one that has sound effects...
  5. As other people have said, it's not much different from tabletop RP. First step is to create a character, as you would in a tabletop. Then, just let the creativity flow through you and just roleplay. At least, that's what I do:) And if you want your character critiqued, just post him in the Create A Character thread. I like to review people's characters and help them out best I can.
  6. Well, it's pretty tough to fairly rate the storylines compared to each other. The Consular story takes a more non-combat, bigger picture turn. After Act 1, you begin focusing on forming an army to defeat the Sith. Throughout the story, its not really "youyouyou" like some of the other storylines. It's focuses much more on the bigger picture and you are really just a piece in the puzzle. For me, it's an 8/10. I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you like a more behind the scenes approach, then it's a fun storyline.
  7. Man, Sage's put out some massive amounts of damage. I just hit 50 pretty recently, and before hand I was on top of the leaderboards in damage as a Telekinetic Sage, so I have no idea how you are complaining about this. I also respec as a healer every now and then and top the leaderboards in healing as well, so yeah.
  8. What I said, uber condensed version.
  9. Not to be snide, but why would anyone want to God-mod? Sure, you can like winning, but if you're already RPing a fight, be creative enough to out-wit your opponent instead of "LOLOLOL I FURCE PAUNCH YOU IN THE FACE AND BREAK ALL YOUR BONES"-ing your opponent. Creativity is the key. If you can dodge my attacks in 50, no 30, different ways, I'll let you win.
  10. Ah, that's too bad. Good post, nonetheless.
  11. Well, Shien is pretty solid. Almost always RP going on in Carrick Station, Republic side. And I think we have quite a few guilds that RP as well.
  12. Well, seeing as how the RP forums here are basically on life support, I'll do my best to give you some feedback, if you even see this. First and foremost, most of your general information is good, except one thing. Being 375 lbs. and only 5' 2"? That just seems a tad bit much for me. Moving along, I must say I absolutely love how you didn't take a combat approach to this character. Having him as a botanist is an interesting choice, and I really enjoy it. Not very often you see a character not focused on combat. Onto the Hutt's yacht. Having Gree technology could be a stretch, but seeing as how he is a Hutt, and a wealthy one, I think that it would be able to pass. And, there isn't much else to criticize. Very good bio build, good character.
  13. Bravo, good sir. By any chance, are you on Shien server?
  14. Well, just to attempt at clearing things up: Essentially every Jedi Knight is the same person. Every Sith Warrior is the same person. Etc. Etc. Therefore, story-wise, the titles aren't that bad. But Role-Playing wise, they're terrible.
  15. Alright, I'm going out on a ledge here: I'm saying Hallow Voice would be an AWESOME companion to have for the Jedi Consular. Also, for balancing purposes, if the Bounty Hunters get a Jawa, the Troopers should get an Ewok. It's only fair. And if this happened, I'd drop my JC main and head straight to Trooper
  16. Well, Jedi Academy had the Kel Dor speak Basic, so yeah.... C'MON BIOWARE! GIMME MY ORANGE ALIENS!
  17. Man, why is everybody hating on Qyzen? I thought the whole religion that he brought to the table was interesting, as well him being the only Companion that isn't "human-like" for the Republic side. Also, I'm a 45 Sage, and I personally like everybody except Tharan
  18. Eh, it could work. You'd still have to get past the weird, time-travel thing that'd be going on.
  19. Yeah, I think if it was implemented right, it'd be great.
  20. Personally, I think this is a great idea.
  21. Well, I'm 6'1", 235 lbs. I play American Football as well, so its mostly not fat lol.
