  1. I spent plenty of real world money on Cartel Coins to buy the Architect's pack on the hopes of maybe getting a 'Slot Machine: Kingpin’s Mark' and now I find out that it was pulled the last minute from the pack! Where was that announcement? When were we told that? Show me the link! If you can not provide some proof that the SWTOR community was adequately informed in a timely manner that the 'Slot Machine: Kingpin’s Mark' would not be in the Architect's pack prior to the sale of those Architect's packs in the Cartel Market, then provide this community with a damn good reason why it is not in-game. And why has the 'Slot Machine: Kingpin’s Mark' taken out of the list of Galactic Stronghold decorations? Why is it not longer there? As someone who gladly supports this game with a subscription and several hundred dollars in Cartel Coin purchases every few months, I am very upset that in this situation it appears to me that I have be deceived, that I have been mislead in what is tantamount to a bait-and-switch scheme. Yes, I understand the packs are random, but I have yet to see one 'Slot Machine: Kingpin’s Mark' on the GTN, on any server or in any stronghold that I have visited or in the list of decorations in the GSH decorations window list in the game. WHAT GIVES BioWare / EA?
  2. That's right. It's that time of year when we all get to play SWTOR for 24 hours straight and raise money for local charities. Last year, I asked the community here to join my team called Tenacious Jawas. Here's the post. Needless to say, I was blown away be the response. Last year the Tenacious Jawas team was able to raise $3,150.00 for local charities. And now I want to do it again. On October 25th, 2014, at 8:00 pm local time, Tenacious Jawas will be part of a huge international celebration of the social impact of gamers with Extra Life™ and it's our sincere hope that you'll find it in your heart to support us. (Extra Life™ Safety Notice) I know it's a little while away, but we need to build the team, to raise donations and find out who's going to be a part of this epic event. Last year there were groups running together on nearly every server, a wonderful set of raffle prizes from BioWare (no promises on that one for this year, but we'll see), and lots of fun stories to tell. So join up at Extra Life™ - Tenacious Jawas. We helped a lot of kids last year. So let's do it again.
  3. Are you and your friends soldiers of fortune? Battle-hardened veterans of old but nearly-forgotten missions? Geared to the teeth with tactics, talent and amazing tech? Or maybe filled with the force, fortitude and as desire for fortune? If so, you might be the Republic A-team I'm looking for. I have an elite assignment, one that will require cunning, strength, willpower and steady aim. It will require a tactical genius, a tough as nails bruiser, a sly escape artist who can get anything done, a kind soul who can uplift your mood and probably a few who are just this side of sane. So what is it? Better yet, what does it pay? That's right. I know mercenaries aren't free and they're always one step ahead of lockdown. So let me put it this way: If you've got the team, people who know how to complete the mission I present to you, people who work together and have done this sort of thing before, then I've got the compensation. So what's the mission? Search and rescue. Simple as that. The objective is a highly classified Heavy Tank rumored to be located in an explosive conflict area. Sources say it's a nightmare to find, but I believe it can be done. If your team accompanies me on this mission, rescues the tank and puts it's keys in my hands, your team will enjoy a payday most have never seen. Specific details will be discussed when you contact me with your team but rest assured, when it's done, we will both be happy. And don't worry about my safety. I've done this type of Op before. I can patch myself up and members of your team if needed, and I've got the gear to do it, but I can't complete the mission alone. This is a one-time assignment but it's not over until the objective is secured. It may take weeks or just one night, and I will compensate for all incurred expenses until the mission is complete. So do you have what it takes to take on this explosive conflict, this nightmare mission to locate, retrieve and deliver the heavy tank to me? Are you ready to handle the enemies that will stand in our way? Are you willing to go the distance to get the job done? Are you the Harbinger Republic A-Team?
  4. No apology needed. I know everyone has a life with responsibilities and commitments that completely supersede all else. I also know that every forum post, even mine, lack the subtle nuances of voice tone, inflection, tempo and non-verbal cues which make human communication so amazing. In my book chuixupu, we're cool. Peace
  5. It's not impossible. I, and many other people last year, did it. The site does give safety information and suggestions so there is less danger of health-related injuries related to prolonged periods of sitting if you are concerned about that issue. And I'm sorry chuixupu that you think playing SWTOR for 25 hours straight 'sounds horrendously miserable.' I personally think it will be fun. It certainly was last year. And to your point that it 'seems like there are better ideas that would allow for more people to participate', you are correct. You can donate and help out a kid who's time in the hospital might truly be... Thanks for your comment.
  6. Well not only hope, but the best one we have. I'm starting early this year to gather a team of SWTOR players for a special event. The only requirement: Be willing to play SWTOR for 25 hours straight beginning November 2nd, 2013 at 8:00 pm, to help raise money through donations for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Here's a link that explains more: Extra Life™ - Team: Tenacious Jawas Okay... The team name is sort of like general chat on a crazy night when too many people are looking for Operation pugs, but hey, don't we all really love Jawas? Here's a few questions some people have asked: >Are we talking about a leveling group, pvp, solo whatever as long as its for 25 hours...? It is whatever you want it to be: powerleveling a new toon, doing all PvP, running all OPs and FPs, or any you want it to be. It's just about playing the game for 25 hour straight. >The website says 8:00 pm local time, does that mean that we would be starting at 8 pm our time, or is there a specific time zone we should be looking at? The event begins at 8:00 pm your local time. This means that around the world, different people will be starting at different times relative to yours. >What faction will it be for and how will you be able to recognize the people who are doing this? Both factions, all servers. I'll be on The Harbinger but you can be on any one you'd like. As far as being able to recognize the people who are doing the event, I'm not sure. I was thinking of getting a Ventrilo set-up specifically for the event, but we'll figure something out. Just so you know, there's nothing financial in this for me at all. Period. I don't get any prize for having a big team or anything like that. So I am NOT asking for your money or even for you to donate (And even if you did donate, I would not have any access to your personal or financial information.) All I am asking is this: Would you be interested in being a part of a team to play SWTOR for 25 hours straight and help raise some money for Children's Miracle Network hospitals? Thx
  7. I, like many SWTOR players, have a few alts. And some of those alts are opposite faction, some Republic, some Empire. And from time to time (nearly everyday), I send items back and forth from Republic to Empire toons and back again. So in the Mail composition window, in the mail recipient section, I can autofill the names of my friends and guildmates, But NOT my same server alts. Why? Why bioware/EA, why? Oh sure I can type the name of the alt, and I do do that pretty well. But what if it's that rare occasion, when something goes wrong, when the named typed is so close to my alt name but one letter was too much. Or what if I have a strange character in the name (which I don't but for argument sake, let's say I do) that takes a few tricks to type? What's to save me from sending items or credits intended to go to my alt but get send to someone else? Most of the time, this is not an issue, but on that rare occasion that I mistype a name of an opposite faction alt and send them, let's say, four SUPER RARE items and then never receive the items on my alt, *** am I to do? Customer Service won't help as it is not their problem I mistyped the name. There's no log I have access to to see who I accidentally sent the stuff to. And yeah that's on me, so someone out there got some really, really, REALLY good items because of my goof, but that could have been prevented if my alts all appeared in the Mail to autofill. Even this error could have been possibly fixed if I had access to a running log of what I sent to who. I could find my own error and plead with the person I missent the items too. Maybe I could get them back, maybe the person would be kind, or maybe, just maybe, I could find out at least know what toon out there got those super fn' rare items I sent to them. Yeah, yeah, I know. My fault for typing to fast or having an alt named so close to someone else where one to many 's's ended up in the name. Kinda crappy but there's always hope. So, in conclusion... TL;DR - Please add all my alts to my in-game autofill mail recipient list. And give me a way to see what I've sent to who and when. Thanks
  8. I have two Best Buy Codes in hand. I'm looking to trade for two European Codes. Interested? Let me know. Thx. Pax
  9. YES to all of these... Plus.. To top it all off, a few lvl 1 head pieces with very low stats. Maybe a helm, a headband, a cowboy hat, an imperial cap and a nice pair of sunglasses that are worn as a headpiece.
  10. for the Cartel Coin Store. Instead of selling quick bars, which arguably hamper the player's ability to play the game at higher levels, why not give all four quick bars for free and instead sell the ability to customize the UI and sell available gameplay resolutions? That way the Free-2-play player is not adversely constricted by lack of quick bars but they are restricted to screen resolution and ability to customized their UI. Seems like a fair trade off for me. /discuss
  11. I understand your perspective. My point is that I was not , nor was anyone, told that this would be the case. As I said, I appreciate the free month. And I will probably invest the $15 saved back into the game. I just would have liked to have been told this officially and not have to go through customer service to find out.
  12. That's right. If you were awarded with a free one month subscription earlier this year, you will not be given the 150 Cartel Coins for that month. Straight from the mouth of two BioWare / EA / SWTOR customer service representatives. After speaking with two customer service representatives, I was informed that the month I was given for free did not count as a month I would be awarded Cartel Coins for because I did not pay for it. Honestly, this upset me as I have been, and still am, a loyal paid subscriber to the game. I have paid for everyday since day one with a 6 month reoccurring subscription and my payments have been prompt. So why am I now being told that a month I received for free, one that I did not ask for but appreciate, does no count toward the accumulation of Cartel Coins for being a loyal SWTOR player and subscriber? This does not make sense to me. I was wondering if someone from BioWare / EA could explain. Thanks. Pax p.s. - I realize that this thread has the potential to devolve into a flame war against companies turning a profit on the products that they produce, but let's keep it above the belt for this one please. I'd really like to know the rational behind this. Thx again.
  13. If I unlock and pay for Legacy XP bonuses on my level 50 character, will that increase the legacy points that I get? Thanks in advance.
