As someone that's been playing rage spec while levelling and at 50 for the past week and a half (Early access is wonderful!). I can tell you that while Rage's big hits are very high, they're most certainly NOT in the 6k range (I'm in full Champ gear atm -the trinkets and with a weapon from EV10m normal). Rage is definitely the strongest spec for the sith warrior class in pvp due primarily to it's mobility and ability to deal high damage while on a target, a facet of it's snare capabilities from force crush. It also has the capacity to deal a VERY high amount of AoE damage due to the shockwave talent. That being said, the whole "sky is falling" treatment GeLoez and ChrisGG seem to have regarding the spec seems to be very QQ-esque and neither offer any constructive feedback on the capabilities of the spec. Shockwaved Smash damage is certainly the highlight of the spec but does not do anywhere near 6k on similarly geared targets (I would say around 4.5k-5.2k MAX on equally geared targets without an expertise buff). 6k is probably what you're seeing on level 10-49 players without expertise or talents to mitigate damage. Rage is strong, no question, but in the current metagame its certainly NOT overpowered in the slightest. Some tuning to Smash may be due if other classes are brought in line (read: Sorcerers and Agents), but for the time being they're only just keeping with the pack, right along with BH's and Troopers.
