  1. TBH, Rusk doesn't sleep either. He just waits. And Kira/Doc sleep in your bed, depending on your gender.
  2. It's an unfortunate reality that such decisions are rarely affected by reason. Now, we're bringing this discussion off-topic as the subject is not about the real-life politics of the situation (Or I would have cited the inalieable United Nations Universal Human Rights earlier) nor is it a discussion for wether or not SGRs should be in this game. The official stance is that SGRs will be in this game. No ifs, no buts. If people quit the game because of it, that's their decision to make and I'm happy to see them go. The concern that's remained for 400-odd pages is why the hell can't BW just clarify HOW SGR's will be implemented? It'd be really great if we could know wether or not it's "safe" to level characters to level 50 and finish their class stories if we still want them to romance a particular companion. I'm still waiting for Makeb to level my Consular because Nadia is so cuuute
  3. Maybe one day we'll get to thaw him out, just like the Smuggler's
  4. I agree, the lack of crew quarters on the Defender has always struck me as weird. Should we just assume the crew sleeps on the couch in the HoloCom room?
  5. I actually don't even like the word "blog". The word "Vlog" makes sense, 'cause it's a Video-Log, right? What exactly is a B-Log? Wouldn't P for Personal, I for Internet or C for Captain make more sense? Sorry, going off-topic now. I blame the fact I'm sick as a dog and can't sleep
  6. It does seem like a big oversight, Doc, Kira, and T7 definately should not approve of/be neutral to this particular DS choice. Scourge would, of course. Not sure about Rusk, since I never use him, but he might be pragmatic enough to approve of it. He disapproves, I think 30 points.
  7. (Roleplaying reason) All the male companion characters who are romanceable by female characters are awful. Just awful. Aside from that, some characters just fit better romancing a certain companion regardless of gender. (LGBT reason) I'm not LGBT but I have friends who are. The "We'll put it in, really! You know. The thing. That we won't talk about. You know. The content for those people."-type awkward silence and heavy censorship on the forum feels like an insult to them. I have a very short temper when people insult my friends, 's all. ... Please never use that word again. Think of the children.
  8. TOR needed another year in development, in retrospect. It's a shame they pushed it out to avoid having to compete with a WoW expansion's release year, eh? >_>
  9. Because phrases like "God bless you" or "I'll see you in hell!" aren't meant to be literal most of the time. It's just a figure of speech.
  10. Bump. Very annoying bug. To clarify: "Unify Colors" no longer has the proper effect for Companion characters, sometimes having no effect at all.
  11. Not really. I play TOR for the story and characters. TOR rewards exploration more than other MMOs as it is already. If I just wanted to bop around and explore, well, there's Skyrim and a bunch of other games that I don't play but I'm sure others might namedrop if you ask for a good game where you get to explore stuff. For me, just Skyrim tends to satisfy my lust for complex exploration (especially with DLC and the new Steam workshop allowing player-made content to be added, for free! <3 Valve is the best).
  12. Pretty much this. They're going to add more planets, but making all the content for one is a lot of work, unless you'd prefer to just have a bunch of crappy planets that all look the same except for the occasional palette-swap...
  13. If you want to fight without a companion, you can. It's not as good as fighting with a companion but hey, you're the one who wants to come across as a "big tough Sith Warrior". Use your brain, plan battles ahead of time, use Adrenals and health packs and smart strategies with cooldowns and you can level and quest just fine without a companion. You don't need your companion with you if you're really the big strong Sith you say you are. And it doesn't make sense that you'd be buffed without a companion out - obviously a big strong Sith PLUS a Black Ops soldier are far more deadly than just the Sith alone.
  14. Support this, mainly from a Roleplaying standpoint. Having Companions around to use as NPCs is veeery awesome.
  15. Highlighted the important part. 99.9% of the time, Mandalorians (or for that matter, ANY non-Force using 'elites') defeating Force users is handled terribly. Yes, I can believe that Jango Fett can score a lucky kill on a distracted Jedi, or hold his own against Obi-Wan long enough to escape. But him allegedly killing Jedi with his bare hands? That's f*cking retarded.
  16. Actually it's a Bendu and was used by the Republic as early as the Great Hyperspace War. For some reason the Sith Empire has a symbol that looks a lot more like the one used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems 3000 years later.
  17. No, it hasn't. See, while "evil is cool" earns the Empire fans, the reality of the universe is that THE EMPIRE WILL LOSE SPECTACULARILY AND BE COMPLETLEY DISSOLVED. I think "faction pride" for the Empire is ridiculous anyway, but seriously, don't delude yourselves; The Empire is going to lose because that's how the story goes, and that means they will gradually suffer more defeats than they can make up for - Corellia, Ilum and Malgus' betrayal, the Dread Masters etc. The Empire has been dying a slow death ever since the Republic retook Balmorra, and it's extremely unlikely from a story point of view that it'll ever turn around.
  18. Yavin 4 was the site of temples built in ancient times by a coward of a Sith Lord - Sadow - who ran away when his empire crumbled around him. I don't see any reason why Palpatine and Darth Vader would consider them worth preserving, given that they adhere to the Rule of Two established four thousand years after Naga Sadow's death, which is an entirely different Sith existence altogether.
  19. Well obviously you should play and see for yourself before you decide. Who knows, maybe you'll like him? Some people are masochists, after all... >___>
  20. The biggest problem with the Mandalorians are the people in the real world who are fans of Mandalorians. They are more annoying than any other type of fan I have ever seen, and I actually know a guy IRL who knows how to speak quite a bit of Klingon. I was planning to roleplay a Mandalorian prior to SW:TOR's launch, but then I saw on some forums how these fans acted and what sort of Mandalorian "characters" (Mary Sues) they were going to roleplay. So, I made a regular ol' Trooper instead.
  21. Corso is basically every annoying and stupid stereotype that exists in media regarding "Rednecks" from the American South put into one character. He's absolutely intolerable, and I mean that literally. I stopped tolerating him after he threw racist slurs at Bowdaar and talked crap about Risha behind her back. Been using Risha and Akaavi ever since and never taken Corso out of the ship's deep freezer since.
  22. To put it bluntly, Skadge is the kind of character who seems inclined to engage women in intercourse against their will, likely as a lead-up to murdering them for the lulz. I do not know anyone who wanted Skadge on their team, and I quite honestly do not know what the writers were thinking. If you Google "McDonalds cancer" (which I did because I wanted to support McDonald's Sweden's donation drive to fund cancer research) you get "An endless series of TOTALLY REALZ PROOF that McDonalds CAUSES TEH CANCERS". Don't believe everything you read, buddy.
