  1. What I do is my choice. It has nothing to do with you. This is a game forum and I'm free to voice my opinion about their opinion. Also I'm entitled to comment on them voicing their opinions about the game because everybody has different experience from the game, thus negative comments on the game cannot stand alone and need a counterweight, otherwise those threads would be very very blind on one eye and misleading to a potential player. This is a forum about the GAME; and a forum about the people playing the game, so STOP complaining about people complaining about other peoples complaints.
  2. Can't be! The Titan WoW, has never ever changed in the least and they don't plan on doing it, because it was perfect from day one!
  3. Some honestly don't like it. But those won't come to the forums and whine about it. They'll just cut their losses (since nobody forced them to pre-order and pay anything, they are very aware of the fact that MMOs usually get released unpolished and need work. They know they can't judge it in comparison to games that have been out and have been actively worked on for years with customer feedback and thus extensive testing). Some are here because they are sitting in a queue waiting to get into their server. They stop whining once their pacifier has been reinserted. Others are complaining because they love the game and want to see it get even better. Those usually don't cry about quitting in the next 24hours. Then there are those who actually quit, whine and post. Those are the ones you usually find in grotesque hostage scenes. "I have my own kitten, I'm not afraid to skin it alive! Now hand over that Happy Meals, or Whiskers gets it!!" - If the McDonalds employee does not act swiftly, the kitten will be furless. There is no reason for quitting and posting it. It has been done for years in the WoW Forums, nobody cared, nobody does care here. BW will have very exact numbers of their subscribers and how many are leaving the game prematurely (e.g. before their 30 free days are done). They are the only ones who are able to predict if the game is in serious trouble or not. Then again our species has a remarkable tendency to narcissistic behavior. - I quit, that can only mean one thing: Everyone is going to quit - And if you think it through, the people who whine, quit and post are true heroes. Why? Because THEY know if THEY aren't happy with the product, nobody can be. They are warning a company that they are losing their most valuable client. In any case I'm glad they post. Otherwise I'd be able to forget for just one second, that our species is not ultimately doomed.
  4. I want to be able to cross the black empty vastness between the two on my netherdragon. Why the hell aren't they implementing that? I can't be the only one craving for this feature and this feature alone!! And what about those lame continent barriers? I want to be able to fly for hours over nothing but the sea and maybe finally get to Northend, Kalimdor etc. Meh. I'll just quit WoW, there you have it! Hear me Blizzard!? I QUIT! Uh... wait... wrong forum, nvm.
  5. First time posting in this thread line. I think anyone who has ever played more than one game should be able to at least feel the problem. It is there, I don't like it, even though it levels the playing field a little bit. I vaguely remember them talking about the 0.5sec delay being intended. If it was, they will be able to remedy the situation. If not they still will be able to, but it will take some time. I'm amazed by how much gamers have grown since my first steps in MMOs. Criticism like this shows, how much people care for a product they pay for. They want it to succeed, they want it to be good. And this is partly why WoW could rise to where it is today. Ever wonder how the game would have fared, if they didn't shamelessly adapt great user made modifications into their own programming arsenal? To the OP: I bow to you. Very impressive work. From now on, I shall monitor these threads and hope with you for a fix. I know I will love the game even more, when the combat system is up to speed. Cheers
  6. Yeah. Blizzard did ignore and still does, most of their playerbase. Everytime a patch is released some moron spews bile about how this is ruining the game and he will quit, waving his non-existent army of imaginary followers to fall in line and bring down the big blue evil guy. You know what? They do not care. Everytime there is a patch it is the same. So I'm right with you. This game need work, as does any other MMORPG out there. But if they start behaving like a leaf in the wind, they'll go under. We may not like each and every individual choice made by BW, but they are listening, they are testing, and they do improve.
  7. Then how come they are still releasing patches after two weeks in? Just look around in the gaming market. There is not one single title being released with such a big list of things to be fixed. This sucks. Blah blah uninformed WoW Reference. </sarcasm> Hats off to OP - this should be sticky. And OP should add more counter arguments provided by thread readers.
  8. What can be said in conclusion is: 1. This is a normal progression for a MMO - we've seen it before, we will see it in the future 2. If you don't like it.. Stop playing, same goes for every other game you may have purchased. Also in brackets: (3. The game will see improvement, as have all other MMOs before)
  9. Yes they do. I've played Lotro for over 3 years and first: The gems etc. do not level up your weapon! At some point you will have to get another one. Also the Stats are random. It might take some time until you find the weapon giving you the perks you want for your character and game style and THEN level it until it hits its cap. With TOR you have your gear which scales with the mods armoring etc. so the only thing you really need to worry about is: What do you put in? And how does it look. And that is great! Of course Lotro wasn't too bad on the optics thing. Apart from the horrible legendary weapons that came with Mines of Moria their overlaysystem for cosmetic gear hasn't been matched yet (even the recent WoW try can't compare in my opinion). Also you need to remember, that both games took quite some time to implement those possibilities to customize your character AND be up to date with the stats of your gear. TOR is doing quite well with it's approach.
