    Hey guys does anyone know what the compensation is going to be for the time we have missed for the empty server list

     

    So far it seems like our compensation will be an automated email saying to put in a ticket. From the game. Where you have to be logged in with set server select.

    Never mind! Apparently you have to be able to log in to the game to open a ticket. Cool. Super impressed with how this is all playing out. My fool self resubbed back when the PTR fix patch came out. What a clown I am.

    Hahahaha, just when you think Customer Service couldn’t get any worse.

     

    I just received a reply to the email I sent Support on the instructions of Jackie providing all the info that was requested.

    Hi everyone,

     

    We just opened up PTS and it contains a number of fixes that are intended to be pushed out with the next patch I reference in this post. One of the fixes is for the Ryzen issue you are experiencing. Can you confirm if you are able to access PTS? You should be able to see the PTS server. If you are or not, please update this thread with a report.

    Not that its overly important right now, but I was kind of hoping this would fix the empty-servers-after-resuming-from-sleep issue, but it didn't.

    It's Tuesday......HOPES UP FOR A PATCH!!!! *Logs in after work and dreams are shattered* yay no fix.. Unplayable game yay!!!!!

     

    I had hopes that server-side hotfix might help us. Nope.

    Frankly at this point SWTOR is starting to look like some Kickstarter game, promising results if we will only keep putting our money in, while never delivering the actual ability to play the game.

    Hi all,

     

    I'm waiting on info to finalize details on when the next patch will be as there will be a number of fixes going into including the Ryzen fix. When I have that info, we will be communicating that to the wider playerbase. I understand that this issue is preventing you from playing the game. To reiterate, if you have not yet, please follow these steps outlined here, so that the appropriate team can track, confirm the state of your account, and issue compensation for time lost when the fix is deployed.

     

    So are we looking at like… in the next week? Or multiple weeks? Luckily I caught my cancel right before getting billed for another month tomorrow.

    I don’t know what’s worse though. The bug itself or the absolutely terrible communication from JackieKo.

     

    According to a private message response from JackieKo, the lack of additional communication is because they are waiting to be able to give us a timeline.

    Hi everyone,

     

    The source of the issue has been identified and a fix has been created for it. However, we will not be able to deploy it until the next game patch. As such, players who are impacted by this issue, read the below carefully.

     

    • Please reach out to support@swtor.com
    • Add "Ryzen issue" to your subject line
    • Provide your account name
    • Confirm that you are not seeing anything on the server list
    • Confirm what hardware you are using

     

    They will then verify the state of your account to confirm you are a player who is impacted. Compensation will be issued to you to make up for the days you have been unable to play once the fix has been deployed.

    I've gotta be honest, I kinda assumed it was going to be Tuesday. I did ask for a ballpark, but my expectation was that the answer would be soon. But we are close enough without any maintenance notification that it's really not looking that way. :(

     

    And with no reply from a dev or CM letting us know… sigh.

    So after updating all of my drivers and anything else on my G14 including the ASUS Game First software. I then stopped all popups. What I mean is the game first optimization popup and the NVIDIA Gforce Experience overlay popup. While this has not solved the problem it has caused it to lessen. I now get in one out of 4 or so trys.

     

    Just tried this. Got really excited when it went from launch to empty server list in fifteen seconds instead of over a minute.... but that was only first launch. I've had precisely zero successful logins since 7.0, unless you count the one using a borrowed older machine...

     

    I'm using the website-downloaded client, not Steam. I don't want to install again. I wish they'd tell us what the issue is... I'm very curious. This, along with other issues, has turned me off to buying another AMD-powered ASUS laptop ever again.

    If you’ve got a Ryzen processor you might be affected by the same issue all us people with Zephyus laptops have. Otherwise, might want to check if your AV and Firewall are getting in the way. I know Norton360 has given some people trouble after patches, requiring manually re-adding launcher.exe and swtor.exe and allowing all traffic.

    Hi, it sounds pretty ominous, could you chill people out with a closer ETA for this patch. Some people are already raising pitchforks as they think you mean 7.1 in March/April.

     

    I hadn't thought to reach for a pitchfork... then you said this. If this isn't in a hotfix... :rak_07:

    If we don't get an update tomorrow, they won't be working on a weekend, so it'll be another 10 days for this.

     

    I’m about ready to cancel my sub and throw money at Lost Ark instead. This is beyond disappointing.

    I'll also note, as I alluded to earlier in this thread, I've often had empty server lists in the past after resuming from sleep - previously easily resolved by a reboot. Obviously that's not fixing it in this case. I've often wondered if this had something to do with the WLAN adapter coming out of suspend in some different mode
