  1. /agree My Sage's saber feels like nothing more than a glowie stat stick. This would be a great change. I hate the theme BW has picked for the class, but love the idea of a jedi caster. And even if you did not want to play one of the consular classes, you still group with them on the rep side or fight them if you are on the sith side...so you still have to see the same junk and pebbles thrown, ad nauseam. Please change this animation to an instant saber throw, or something other than throwing rocks and junk. And take a look at TK Throw while you are at it...kthx.
  2. I agree with the OP, change them. Use something like the Satele Shan animations where she fights Malgus in the Hope trailer. They looked great, and one was short and instant, like Project should be, while the second one had wind up to it, and was more powerful/2- handed, like Throw should be. Sages at least can use Disturbance...shadows dont even have that option...its rocks or nothing.
  3. Project and Throw are the most ridiculous animations in the game. I hate them. I magically pull up stuff out of the ground? I throw pebbles when other classes shoot lightning or have blasters, flamethrowers, missiles, etc.? No wonder people talk about a gap in the coolness factor for the class. Really, that is what a jedi means to BW? Well I can't stand them and hope they are changed. They are the worst animations I've seen in game and make me want to play other classes or the other faction. Which is not a good thing when you are talking about the jedi class in a star wars game...where the Sith already outnumber the Republic on just about every server.
  4. I disagree...most players in an MMO are going to expect to be able to craft their toons appearance as they wish without having to build Rome in a day, or reinvent the wheel.
  5. Yeah, because ignoring your competition and your players expectations is a sure fire recipe for success...lol *rollseyes*
  6. I appreciate it, but Im on Jung Ma, and switching servers, guilds, and releveling a number of toons is perhaps the biggest hoop of all to get an appearance I like...lol. But again, thx for the offer.
  7. So again, a considerable amt of hoop jumping to get an appearance I already have...what if I want it in white? Or grey?
  8. Exactly...having to play roulette to get what I already have is pretty unsatisfying. It is much easier to have an appearance set, and a stat set. Combining both as this game does is not optimal. I want what I have, but I cant use it, so I have to get another version of the same thing? Really? Those are also medium armour schems, not really optimal for a guardian/tank. Appearance fixes all those issues.
  9. Thx. Are they hvy armour? And how many hoops do I have to jump throw to get them, when I already HAVE them? Or get them again, I should say...
  10. Many F2P MMOs are very successful...lotro is one of them. Many arent. But appearance systems are fairly rampant. As for the rest of your post, Ill repost this comment, as it also applies... Also, given all the time, money, and art assets, they have poured into gear, I would say gear sets and the appearance of them are somewhat higher than the number you threw out. Now they just have to mesh their variety of gear sets, with the variety in taste amongst their users. Im sure there is something for everyone, but having a system in place where everyone can have that "something" is where this game falls down, atm.
  11. Hmm, except there are few things more important to many players than being able to identify with and like their toon. MMOs are long term relationships. THe more players feel they have what they like, and can appear as they like, the more they are tied into the game. At least a portion of the playerbase... 12. Yes, Im talking appearance tab, or costume slots, like a number of MMOs...F2P MMOs, like lotro, have. Slotted gear is fine, for later, but is limiting. Why does the game put limits on my appearance when most other MMOs don't? Why am I forced to wear something that is less appealing to me? Why cant I have a stat set of gear and an appearance set of gear. If people only want to see true gear then they can disable the appearance option. I like this look, but I cant keep it. Why? http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/194/screenshot2011122922064.jpg/ I have found this is a recurring theme in this game. The above is a picture of a lowbie jedi knight, guardian-to-be...but my 36 sage is in the Taris bonus gear, slotted, and has been for 10+ levels. Nothing else is appealing to me. People like what they like. Some of the gear looks awesome. It is a testament to the devs/art team that there is an outfit that I want to keep, this early in the game. But much of the gear is hideous. You cant go wrong when you let people choose their appearance, and then let people choose to show appearance gear or true gear, according to what matters to them.
  13. I find it amazing that I cant follow a target, or can do so for maybe 2 seconds before it bugs out and leaves me running in place in this game. When we have companions that follow us everywhere, I cant follow target? I hope this is just a bug, since the feature is in game, its just the most poorly working follow target feature I have ever seen. Fix this please. Thx.
  14. 15 min or less is barely accetpable on a p2p service. Yesterday I had over an hour queue after a disconnect. That is completely unacceptable, IMO. Queues over an hour, prelaunch? uh, no. Just, no.
