  1. Stop bumbing your own thread with the same question. You are bound to get it locked. They are reading the forums. That doesn't mean they have to post. They will not post anything until they have an answer and are ready to release that information. Also, they will not add last names as your last name is your legacy name.
  2. what are your stats? would help me make a more informed observation. i have a BH PT as my main and I never die. My stat priority is defense rating, endurance, shield chance, shield absorption, and aim. I have not theory crafted anything right now, but this has kept me alive through dungeons and heroic quests up to lvl 37. I have 9k health and 4000~ armor (45% damage reduction).
  3. 2V-R8 is your ship companion as I remember it. He cannot go planetside with you. So he should not be causing you any problems.
  4. Something like that would have been good, but it is just as easy to notify retailers to start selling. Things change and they probably did not anticipate some of what happened. I believe Bioware thinks that retailers would sell them copies starting this week. I have been trying to determine if that is their intent and if so to ask them to clarify that to the retailers.
  5. To get the code you would have to open your box. Problem solved. We are asking for the actual box to have and to keep. Not a code. And no they would not need to create a separate department. You register the code that is in the gamebox and that gives you the access. No department required. It doesn't matter what you pre registered. It matters what you buy.
  6. The problem is always present when buying online. Its the reason people still buy things in stores. Bioware did the awesome thing and made sure this wasn't an issue. They did not intend for brick and mortar patrons to be shafted. I whole-heartedly believe they would have no problem with us getting our copies today as stores in Europe have been selling the game legally for some time now. I am pissed that brick and mortar stores have not realized that the street date is no more and starting handing out pre-orders. A street date is so named because it is when the product hits the street. Well the product is all over the street. You can buy the game on EBay and Amazon from people who have already received their copies from online retailers. While we are still waiting for out original copy.
  7. Every wish granted. I bought a game and I want it just like everyone else who has already received it. How is that acting entitled. Did I pay for the game? yes Am I just asking for what I paid for? yes Are there others who paid and received their game? yes Also you pick the lamest of the items from the list of things you get. What about the speeder or access to the VIP lounge. All of my friends have access already and went up there together to ohh and ahh. I missed out on that and by the time I get my code, this will already be old news. As evidenced by the other post. People are already linking, using, screenshoting, FRAPSing, and complaining about items that I have not even had a chance to see myself. You and your friend bought bikes and you were supposed to then go riding them on Tuesday together. The place where your friend bought his bike from gave it to him early, but the place you bought yours from said they couldn't sell it because of some supposed street date. You friend, who is super excited about his bike, can't wait to ride it and does so on the day he gets it. By Tuesday, he is not as excited about his bike anymore and doesn't really care to ride it when you get yours. Plus now you have already seen his bike and he let you ride it around and the joy of a shared experience is lessened. This is what we are feeling right now. Is this the bike companies fault (Bioware)? nope We are just bummed we cannot enjoy our content while others are parading it in front of our faces every five seconds.
  8. So what about all the other people with CEs and DDEs who have their PRCs and games and everything with it. They are playing right now with everything attached to their account. They have all of the physical product in their possession. No one wants a PRC without paying for the game. I have already paid the full price for my CE and have no game to show for it. I want to be able to go to my store and pick up my game that I have paid for already, like all the others out there.
  9. agreed. unfortunately this will not stop them from being a**hats. and another specialty store will die. i really hate to see game retailers go. usually they offer better service that mega stores but Best Buy has been my best option for most of this year when buying games. problem is that most mega stores have too much power and can demand so much from a developer. then the developers end up getting hurt. hate to see GS go but boy do they need to.
  10. The problem wasn't that they were shipped early it was that the bulk of the orders arrived early. There are thousands of players online with CE and DDE accounts. This was done with the blessing of EA/Bioware. We just want GS to realize this and give us our games too. GS is horrible. However, I pre-ordered on day one and did not want to have to get my money and change my pre-order.
  11. I think the Twitter people left for the day. Not to discourage you but they havent posted in over an hour and they were averaging 20-30 posts an hour.
  12. Again another reader who did not read. This is not about delivery dates. This is about brick and mortar orders. They have our copies sitting there while y'all have yours. Nothing silly about it.
  13. GameStops worldwide have been selling the game for days. Bioware allowed amazon to ship when it did. Origin is Bioware for this game. You know nothing about the problem. You just wanted to say FU to some people who are upset to make your day.
  14. I knew that everyone who ordered a DDE would get it before me. I knew that anyone who ordered in online would get it before me. Quite the opposite as the online orders where not going to arrive until after Christmas in most situations. The collectors edition has a nice statue in it. I happen to collect the statues from collections editions. I don't even care about that stuff though. I would just take my PRC right now.
  15. all of the release events are at Best Buy this year and I want to go to one but my pre-order is at GameStop.
  16. It is not EA or Bioware. There is no magical email this morning. They lied to you. I spoke with the head of the customer support this morning and he said they have no confirmation from EA/Bioware about a street date. They are just going by the information they had before online orders were authorized to ship early. They were revisiting the issue but no decision had been made. This is GameStop pure and simple. And GameStop US to be specific. GameStops in Europe already started selling.
  17. No joke. A lot of GameStop orders are showing up without codes in them.
  18. your signature says it all. you bought all the same digital toys and are already enjoying them why should i have to level an alt just to enjoy what i bought. maybe i only play with one character? again if you do not have anything to contribute to the thread about retail stores holding back CEs, then move on. Calling people names is not helping anyone.
  19. How is being upset that GameStop treats their customers like crap looking a gift horse in the mouth? No one is whining. This thread has very valid points and has not devolved into caps or name calling until you arrived. Go back to work and we will see you in the game when you get home.
  20. Do you have the CE? You get a free speeder and plenty of social items/armor that you can use for lower than lvl 29. I could be lvl. 50 by the time I get my collectors edition. The lvl 20 speeder is worthless by then. Also, why should I have to wait around at a freezing cold midnight release or fight christmas crowds when there is no reason to hold the physical game.
  21. This is not how any other game launch has shipped. I have purchased many games online before. Usually no matter what shipping option you get or when the game leaves from wherever it comes from you will not get it until the release date. NEVER HAPPENED any other way. Bioware specifically allowed for retailers to have games in the hands of their customers before the 20th. Just because you (one person) are not getting it until the 20th does not support your theory. I did not purchase overnight with Amazon and they overnighted it. Again, the problem isn't that I do not have my game. The problem is that Bioware seems to not care if anyone has the game before the 20th, so why is GameStop preventing us from having the game.
  22. If you have nothing to contribute move along. No one is complaining about Bioware here or early access. We are discussing GameStop lying to our faces and their horrible customer support. I appreciate the early access. I want the game/content I paid for. If others are getting it, why should I not. I pre-ordered on day one the second the store opened. I am not asking for anything extra that others are not getting nor complaining about what I have.
  23. I agree with you sir. GameStop is the issue. No one is complaining about Bioware. They don't even know people are playing the game right now. They asked why I would want it early, since I could not play.
  24. Discussing that here. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=429439#post429439 Trying to consolidate this under one thread. I would like a response from Bioware on this supposed street date.
