  1. It's alot like playing a WoW druid at release with much better melee and CC options + a pet and the ability to seamlessly switch between healing and damage. No it wasn't surprising yes it is well implemented.
  2. Need a bit more rigorous of a testing program to understand how thery impact things. Of course I have a slot it needs stats in it, I'll but the best option I can get my hands on in that slot.....
  3. Umm every game defines it's own rules and what is cheating. Your arguement is like saying hockey players get to carry sticks so football players should as well. Football players get to wear pads and tackle people so basketball players should as well etc... There are many good reasons to not have these macro's in game particularly initially. They are a competitive advantage for experienced players and the SW fanbase is one the dev's definitely want to exploit and they aren't all experienced gamers. That reason alone is enough to not have them in the beginning IMHO. last thing you want is the new gamers you are attracting to be at an even larger competitive disadvantage.
  4. Now it would be cool if while running a diagnostic scan it say not only granted energy regen but say improved the chance for all ongoing heals on that target to crit by say 10% when fully improved. as a Energy management rotation tool it is helpful. But it could be made more helpful.
  5. As default weapon is the driver of ones spammable attack as the game seems to be coded and operatives lack a closer I'm quite happy with a ranged weapon as default. There is a class with a melee weapon default sith inquisitor. I do understand the complaint but someone had to make a call from the base class. Start the IA as a ranged with an advanced class that has knife abilities (Flashbacks to the movie the professional) and introduce the cover concept etc in levels 1-10 and create diversity between your two stealth assassins. I'm greatful for having a range spam Damage as a healer choice however.
  6. I once thought pong was cool and neat. Missions are fine and a decent bit of relaxation.
  7. It feels alot like levelling as a WoW druid at release to me without having to pop out of cat or bear to pop a heal and get back to doing damage. With significantly better damage and a pet to boot. I actually love how seemlessly we can integrate damage and healing, energy allowing, into the playstyle including doing a no pain energy dump to close PvE encounters as regen between fights is so beneficial. I really really don't miss having a mana pool.
  8. considering android is now dominant mobuile operating system and has been for nearly a year. Considering samsung now sells more handsets than apple.... Yeah they swing and they miss.
  9. Intelligence services including the CIA have been caught working with criminals including assassination plots of heads of state (CASTRO CUBA, CIA). So that aspect isn't unrealistic at all. The level of information she's allowed perhaps but then that would be classified.
  10. I figured I was covering her back when I did that and that it was quite possible she was working as a double agent when I turned her or had at least played both sides.
  11. Not sure if it was in beta or live but when I mouseovered my first shiv it said something that struck me as clarifying it's use as a stat stick for relevant special attacks.
  12. We have a healing tree, you drop those talents too far down the tree you have to nerf our healing to oblivion or create a high damage high single target healing spec with solid utility at end game.
  13. For a PvP healer you'll sometimes decide you'ld rather have added utility to the final ability. Say you built an operative healer to work with another conceal or lethality operative. Having all the low tree stealth treats would be a necessity for movement speed alone but you could also potentially add some damage options or energy etc... AOE heal wouldn't be a high priority. Mainly we're gamers and we like experimenting to find the system that works best for our styles.
  14. actually macros enable the bads to compete with the goods. but they also prevent carpal tunnel.
  15. As a healer of the tank making your assist more accessible is a very effective PvE solution. Unless the tank isn't holding aggro. PvP you probably want to drop a heal on the target of the enemy player you assist off anyways. It can let you get ahead of the damage. Yes dual targetting makes life simple but there was healing before we ever tried it.
  16. got an orange armor schematic from my first UWT mission for metal. Of course it say's it's for republic smuggler or Jedi Knight armor and I'm an IA.
  17. my first UWT mission gave me a pattern for orange armor for smuggler or jedi knight? ok they wear completely different armor types and I'm an IA so has to be a bug somewhere.
  18. annoying the entire population every 4 hours instead of a 100 people in a que when they begin playing isn't very good business. In-fact it's downright horrible. Every game as it releases has que issues. people tied to a server stay the impatient untied to the server roll on another server with shorter ques. Then in 2 months when they realize that servers population is to small for full enjoyment start complinaining to have a swerver consolidation. Personally I'll put up with the que's creating dense server populations etc because long term it'll be for the better. Seen to many games add to many servers then implode relatively quickly.
  19. Can you think of any entity asside from the empire that could provide her more opportunity for profit while accepting her methods? Or any entity if she crossed it more certain to do her harm? The risk of the republic turning her from a security standpoint would be infitessimally small and a galaxy ruled by the republic wouldn't exactly suit her needs.
  20. Theres a reason you're the agent and she's hired muscle. I'ld be concerned if she understood why I was doing things.
  21. Healed alot as a druid and frankly it wasn't a melee healer either. Being a stealth healer is still an enormous PvP advantage however. A DPS operative uses stealth to position and escape danger. A healing operative uses stealth to position and escape danger. Functionally there are advantages to being in melee and at range. Range is more survivable melee allows more utility and damage alongside the healing as well as at least for complete nubs may disguise your function in PvP. Functionally right now the player has the choice. Some of your changes seem designed to force operatives to play as you wish vs having the flexibility to choose. If I was to functionally be forced inside to heal I'ld want a very different skillset than the curent offerings. Forcing the operative into the kind of melee healer you seem to envision would take alot more reworking IMHO. And designed Melee healers have a bad habit of becoming overpowered. A PBAOE heal not at 31 points in a tree but somewhere around 20 would be a nice addition. But then I'm in the school that believes the operative needs a more available aoe heal, making it melee is a nice limitation.
  22. Technically their advantage comes from linking to the real world economy which enables price inflation within the game as by enabling in game money purchase with out of game resources you increase the pool of people in-game able to pay the exorbitant prices. If one could prevent credit sales the economy would not inflate much beyond the reasonable means of an average player to purchase, It's only by those players leveraging real world economics that the inflation can be succesful.
