    PVP Names to fear

    If you "fear" anyone you're the biggest vajayjay ever, this is a video game. Nothing that happens here matters, it isn't going to hurt, isn't going to get you paid, and it most certainly won't get you laid.
  2. I switched back, assault/pyro is just better, tactics has a bit more utility, and it is viable, but Assault just brings it. Now I only played about 20 warzones before I switched back, i have seen people use it effectively. It has more utility than assault, but my dps was consistently a 1/3 lower with this spec.
  3. What you say makes sense until I think of Marauders and how silly OP they are. Or how the "smash" classes have almost made our dps obsolete by way of comparison.
  4. I didn't, I put it into actual spec, but I find that i am terrible getting it set up. Only been one night's playing thus far, but at the moment I hate this spec lol....................I know it will take more time to get a feel for it, but assault strikes me as superior at this point in time.
  5. Well, I actually have played a couple post 50 specs on my BH. I started with full shield specialist, then I moved on to the parakeet, then I went fully pyro. This one is full assault(pyro) atm, it is so easy there isn't much to understand, but I think the play style for this spec may be a bit more complicated.
  6. Also, I have two points in the assault tree stock strike upgrade, should those two points maybe go in the HiB upgrade in tactics instead?

  8. They should switch grapple with charge, meaning make grapple the one you have to spec into. With our new range limitations it is more equitable.
  9. Because charge is more reliable and not effected by resolve. There are LOS issues that are kinda buggy with poon, that don't effect charge as much, even if they corner you, if it goes off you're going to get to where they were. I haven't found the netf to be too odious in the sub 50 bracket, and tend to fight inside the 4m. Although I use my range stuff as I close, which is better than my jugg could do. I feel the nerf was laughable considering marauders didn't get a nerf and continue to get buffs, but at the end of the day it wasn't a killer And one on one I still have my way with most classes, only a marauder with all his cool downs and vanish thingie up pose a problem, and even they aren't that big of an issue for me if i have cool downs and WZ stims up. With all that said I haven't played my 50PT, i moved servers and rerolled so I have no idea how things are doing in the 50 bracket and ranked.
  10. Alright, some of what the dude before you posted is true, this server has more premades and thus is more competitive, especially to a guildless solo Q'er like myself. But another problem was just levels, I got to 20, got gear in every slot, some augments, and incinerate round and my dps spiked up to around 200k a match. I haven't had to deal with the thermal det range nerf yet, not hgih enough, but from range i open with sticky grenade and hammrshots until i get close(HiB if up) and then apply the good stuff once i get to 10mm. My one on one success has gone way up as well as dps. Can anyone definitively answer this for me, I asked in general and got different answers, is sticky grenade and Assaupt plastic not on the same cool down any more, if so I could make that work,s tick grenade from 30m, IR when inside 10mm, then AP, then stock strike, that should hurt anyone with a few well timed rail shots. I was going to go middle tree, but I may just stay pyro.
  11. Came back, rerolled on another server because I just didn't want to deal with any population issues. I quit this game several months ago, my main was a PT. I tend to que solo a lot, especially lately because I am not even in a guild. When I left, I could get in the 200k range dps in the sub 50 bracket from about level 15 on, sometimes more, I was always in the top 3 dps per match, like it was a given. Anyways, I don't know if its my rotation, which is the one I always used, or if its gear, or if maybe i just forgot how to play. Also, I find myself targeted contantly, the problem with pugs is most ignore healer, I attack them and end up with an assist train on me. So, due to the high pop of the new server do you think I am jut running into more premades, like every match it feels like, or have I obtained too much fail in my off time?

  13. I left when they killed the parakeet, came back as full pyro, and just decided to play again after several months off, but have seen they've nerfed me yet again. So, I just don't like force users, am not a good stealth player, and don't like caster types so I am going to do trooper again(was BH last time round) but tank spec imho opinion is broken for pvp, I have no desire to deal with the pyro nerf, so i am going to go middle tree this time, that's tactics for troopers right? So, I was either going to go full tactics or 23/18 what are your opinions on these two builds, what's a good rotation for full tactics? And I am average-ish player, I usually do good deeps and play objectives but I am not one of the l33t kids, will i grasp tactics as well as I did pyro, or should I succumb to fotm, against my better judgement and just roll a sentinel lol? Anyways, anything you want to share with me would be much appreciated. I don't need to be OP. I just want to have the best chance against various opponents.
  14. Why should you do more as a merc/commando? Your first tree is healing, so applying your logic why should a class with heals as its primary tree do more damage than a class who's primary tree is tanking, they're both dps secondary class trees. Mercs/commandos need some help, but the automatic assumption you should do more damage than a vanguard is silly. The fact is you can do all your damage from 30M, the price you pay for the range imho.
  15. Right now merc/commando seems broken to me, Vanguard DPS is way better, if you're interested in healing I'd skip it all together and make a scoundrel/operative healer, as they're far and away the best right now.
  16. If a shield spec BH is out damaging you then you're god awful, If he's DPS spec he doesn't have a shield. He uses a generator. because the extra shielding chance isn't worth the other stats. Why shouldn't a powertech who specs the DPS TREE be able to effectively dps. What does it matter that they have a tank tree? It would be like me whining that a dps spec merc was out damaging me and he's a healer!!!!!
  17. Somebody is mad because he's afraid BW may take away his "i win buttons"...........seriously, picking a class with insane damage and five freaking amazing cool downs on 2 min timers doesn't mean you're good bro, just means you're afraid to play something mortal.

    Seriously, you nerfed PTs in 1.,2, you destroyed every healer but the smuggler/op healer, and eviscerated any non force using DPS class, meanwhile marauders and sents, if they have all their cool downs up, can destroy someone while rolling their face over their keyboard. Some genius is going to tell me to learn to play. I know how to beat them, but frankly it requires that I kite them at precise distances, keep them slowed, strafe, and manage my cool downs perfectly, meanwhile a paste eating special needs kid could click on you with his marauder/sent and literally lick the keyboard from one end to the other and 4 shot you. My question is do any of the devs play? If so are you all marauders and sents? Want proof? Go to your sub 50 warzone and look at what classes are fotm, that's right rage spec'd marauders and juggs(and their pub equivalent) Fix this please.
  19. Snipers are only overpowered if the player is good, and I don't mean viable, i mean really OP, but most of them suck in the sub 50 bracket and I absolutely destroy them. I really think 1.2 was the worst patch ever for class balance.
  20. I was just trolling this forum because good slingers/snipers give me fits and I was here figuring out what some of your abilities do and what to look for, then i came across this thread. My RL friend plays a marauder and he hates fight ya'll, I've played with him a good bit and seen him beat the brakes off of many people so I know he isn't bad. With that said you're both kind of OP, but in your defense a GS or sniper is only OP'd if played well, and what I mean by that is if we both do everything perfect ya'll have an advantage over most classes, marauders just can roll their faces on their keyboards if their cool downs are up and pwn you. To be over powered on a sniper/gs you have to know what you're doing because I have a low level one and I still suck out loud.
  21. I am assault spec, although I plan on going full tank as soon as I level one more time for storm. I haven't had a hard time at all vs snipers or operatives, but i am in the sub 50 bracket again atm, so maybe its just the players or lack of certain abilities. Operatives have also been no problem at all, while they can do crazy damage, their armor is paper and they die quickly, even after I get up at 1/2 health I pretty much burn them down after that. I find myself losing to snipers when their cool downs are up and my reactive shield is down. If we're both out of cool downs i am going to win. Where the problem seems to come in is they have more and better cool downs than I do, but again I have good success vs snipers at the lower levels. The class I just can't beat seems to be marauders/sents, I don't know what all their abilities are called, as over powered as they are they strike me as a boring 3 button class, and there is no way I could play one, but when their abilties are up I have no chance of beating them. From what I can see they have two cool downs that make their dmg so high I am done in 4 moves and they have about 25 seconds of invulnerability coming from two abilities, one that decreases your accuracy by 99% for 15 seconds, and another that does some heavy damage mitigation for them for another 10 seconds(or is it 15?) Generally, most of my kills vs this class tend to come after they've burnt all their cool downs on someone else for an easy kill, at which point tehy have absolutely no chance of beating me, or they're on some else and I am teeing off on them, otherwise i am going to die the only variable is how fast. Pretty much other than marauders and to a lesser degree guardians/jugs I have had my way with every class I've played against. The class that really pisses on my parade

I am sure if this was any good someone would have tried it already, just wanted to see what peeps thought. is this viable at all?   23. Am I doing it wrong? If ALL of my cool downs are up and all of his are up I usually lose. I open with back stab, usually get a pistol whip off before he stuns me, he'll run behind me set up ambush, and if i am lucky I can flash grenade him before that goes of. I'll usuall get a sucker punch and a dot in at this point. Then he'll blow me back and root me and I'll break it with dodge, he'll then flash grenade me and i'll purge that(forgive me I don't remember names of abilities, just know what they do when i look at my bar) by the time i get back to him he's sniped me for like 4k and we'll fight, but he'll get another snipe off and i die, end of story so am I doing it wrong, are they just a bad matchup, or is this class broken and i shouldn't expect to solo anybody. I am 30 atm, maybe I am too low yet?
  24. I have found that in the sub 50 brackets I am effective so long as I am not the first person to attack/pop. When focused on we are quite broken as we have no defense, whcih is mind boggling really, a marauder does more dmg, alot more dmg, and has more survivability due to cool downs, i don't know what they're called but they have two defensive cool downs that combine to give them like 25 seconds of god mode, combine that with ravage and they can two shot jesus. Why they got buffed and this class got nerfed is beyond me.
