  1. I haven't played DC online, so tell me. are most quests there - fully voiced? are they structured as a conversation with multiple possible options and branching dialogue? is there such thing is a class in DC online and if there is, how many of them are there per faction and is every single one of them voiced by a unique actors of both genders?

I think you are hopefully starting to see where I'm going with this. now. if answers to my above questions are yes, then you may have an interesting point. however, I'm fairly sure that SWTOR is unique in MMO world when it comes to quest acquisition and amount of voice work that went into that. and even in single player world, bioware games, whatever issues I may have with them (and trust me, I have plenty) - are one of the very few that work on a structure of fully voiced conversation, with multiple answer choices. in fact, I think the only other company that tried something similar was CD project red. Bethesda sticks to unvoiced PC's and games that do have a voiced PC's, have fully scripted conversations you don't get to steer, you just listen in.

was that a good choice for bioware, to invest all that money in all those voice overs. that depends on whom you ask. personally, voiced conversations are one of my favorite aspects of SWTOR. they keep me interested in a story, keep me involved. in most other games, I often end up spacing out, not even caring why I'm killing those next 10 fozzles.

DC online does have good classes and you can pretty much design the class you want and the way they look and on top of that there is armor in the game that can even change that look if you want.. there aren't a Gazillion choices of course but if you take your time to make yourself look special you will be very hard pressed to find anyone else in the game that looks like you do unlike here.

Also not trying to get in to a which is better was just providing info for a question both games have there really good points and there really bad ones.

  2. Really? Who'd have thought there were that many socially backwards feckwits in the world. Scary.

That's because anyone can pull any numbers out of there !@% with out any data or facts to prove it.. case in point there was some guy in another on-line game i am playing saying that the game we where currently in sucked and Dark Age of Camelot was way better and had 500k subscribers still which i highly doubt.

Also i love the fact that people come up with these numbers for said better game but yet they aren't playing it they are still here trying to prove said game is better and has more subscribers...

  3. Shhhh. Quiet you. You'll ruin the hater argument that says makeb is EXACTLY the same as it was when it leaked. THEY didn't add ANYTHING.

ummm it was never leaked it was annouced sooooo since you like to refer to anyone that doesn't agree with you as a ''Hater'' maybe you should take your head out of the ''Fanboi'' cloud and do some research before you comment next time... lol leaked...

  4. First off this is not a flame to anyone who chooses to buy the new Add-on ( sorry i refuse to refer to it as an expansion) if that is your choice more power to you.

I in fact already canceled my account (it runs out on the 27th i believe) i have no intentions of ever buying it or in ever subing to SWTOR again..(or playing the F2P model) to me i see the writing on the wall and i refuse to be charged for every little thing they choose to add to the game from here on in to me it just isn't worth it.

I have no problem with a MMO making money but when it comes to making money by telling lies or going back on something that was already stated that i have a problem with.

Since they had already stated that they would NOT charge Subs for this Add-on DLC whatever they should have stuck with that and just planned for the next one and announced everyone would have to pay for it i think subscribers who are now upset would have been more accepting of this then the oh LawL LawL LawL sorry guys we have changed or mind now everyone pays for our new add-on sucks to be you pay us and shut up additude from EA/Bioware

  5. $10 is cheaper than some of the cartel market items and you don't think it will be justified by adding a planet for that $10? Seems like one of their better pricing moves if it's cheaper than a speeder with some stupid xmas lights on it. Troll thread, troll replies to the other commenters, probably a troll reply to this. I don't care, you do whatever makes you feel strong.

That isn't saying a lot just that the stuff on the cartel market is way over priced... for example $18.00 U.S. for that stupid eye sore of a life day speeder...really??? lol

  6. Your right, your cat does talk. He told me everything he's seen you do at that computer desk. You should be ashamed. Your lucky your cat doesn't have fingers to dial 911

i have to admit your wookie nerd rage thread is amusing though

that should be the class if they ever add them WOOKIE NERDRAGER COMING SOON!!

  7. Bioware,

Let me play as a Rodean, or a Transdosian and ill give you $60.

    Sincerely,

Player who thinks Cat People are silly, and not Star Warsy. ;)

Yeah i am sure your $60.00 would make it worth all the work it would take to even get them in the game... i really hate the players that say I WILL GIVE YOU XXX AMOUNT OF DOLLAS!!! FOR SO AND SO MAKE IT HAPPEN!! please stop it sounds freaken stupid

  8. It's only $18.00...

and it's people like you that steal mommy and daddy's credit card to pay for whatever scraps EA/BW throw at you that will make sure that they continue to charge for every little thing added to the game now... oh you do get the endless bugs with each patch for free though

  9. Because paying for an Expansion is so unheard of! I mean it's not like certain other MMOs do that...

    ....oh wait...

oh wait.. this is a add-on it is not an expansion i could give a rat's furry *** as to what EA /Bioware Label it as I also don't care that it was harder for them to do and was alot more work cause they fired all there employees.. not my problem .... 1 planet +5 levels/skills is not and expansion

compare it to any other expansion for any other MMO and see if you still want to call it that

  10. Your answer is in your post. They created a stickied thread for the sole purpose of trying to identify the problem in question.

they should also add... we built this game on a crappy engine that the only other game that ever even used it has now shut down... lol i am sure that has something to do with the problem.

  11. I'm not griping, that's an honest question. Why subscribe? At first the answer seems obvious. You get extra perks like speeders at an early level or the ability to equip certain items. Then you realize that you can use Cartel Coins and unlock these things anyway. So basically for a one time $10-15 fee you can unlock pretty much everything a subscriber has. In the future they'll be adding new character slots so that's not even a limitation. And if you're a sub you have to pay for a lot of the same stuff F2P players have to pay for. You still have to pay for expansions. You still have to pay for extra content. What is the point of subscribing?

    So I've cancelled my sub.

I'm at a loss with this game to come up with any reason to continue subscribing. I don't expect anyone to care much. I'm just another number to BW and I've only been around the game for 6 mos or so and don't have the $15 sunk into the game since day one. The bugs aren't fixed. BW has no intention of fixing any of them apparently. They have every intention of soaking everyone instead. ?

I agree and i just had a bad feeling and canceled before this was made public... They Knew all along they where going to charge for the new planet... the maybe we will maybe we won't was just another smoke screen to milk the last little bit of money out of those who would cancel over it when it was confirmed you would have to buy it.

  12. Star Wars: The Old Republic - creating the first 3 tiered online society - the haves, the have little(preferred status) and the have nots. It is totally disgraceful.

How come other MMOs like WoW and even the recent arrival, Guild Wars 2 manage to celebrate something and is packed with humour but here we have a Star Wars game without an essential Star Wars ingredient - humour.

    Utterly lazy Bioware.

Not really Lazy more like Greedy... and people wonder why there is no Community feeling in the game??? this is one of the reasons... and sorry no RPing in Nar Sha or fleet Cantina 6 days a week watching the same 20 people rping that they are drinking/ drunk while trying to pick up other players who play females that most likely aren't even real females is not a Community building activity ...( and it's also crappy RP )

I supported this game Since day 1 but no more.. when a F2P game(s) that has less then half of SWTOR's player base can make Holiday events for it's Communities it shows you what EA is all about there products are all about the Money making Aspect not How much fun it brings to those that play them

So i already canceled and i am currently enjoying the Holiday events in GW2 and EQ 2... they may not be perfect but at least they are there... bringing the community Together and are fun..

  13. They can make it about the Evil Empire setting up a cash shop for every little thing.. the rest of it can be about the actors killing each other cause said people then sell the items on the Galactic market for Overblown Bat **** crazy prices..

at the end instead of a native American staring at the camera with a Single tear running down his cheek the can change it to Satele Shann with a single tear running down hers

  14. Cause the last time i was nice and helpful in the game.. to a new player even... after i had got done helping them and talking nicely answering every question etc.. for over a hour this is what i got... No thanks, No this is so cool i love this game, No see ya later... all i got was..

HEY DUDE JOO GOTZ ANY CREDITS I CAN HAZ.....!!!!

  15. So, Bioware is really not going to give veterans rewards for this game? With one of the rockiest starts for a game in the last 10 years, you'd think that they would at least show their appreciation to everyone that stuck by them. Instead, Bioware is making us pay for items to create "our own" Life Day event.... Oh wait, they did give us a stack of FIREWORKS!!!! YAY!!

I have been a CE owner since July 2011 and a paying subscriber since the game's first day of Early Access. The only thing I feel like I'm getting is continuously screwed. The sad part is that I honestly love the game, so I don't want to quit just because the Developers could give a rats *** about a loyal subscribers like myself.

Now, I'm not usually one to complain about not receiving something just because I'm helping pay the company bills, but I really do think it's about time that Bioware shows its appreciation for the subscribers and previous subscribers. Players should be able to openly display how long they have been supporting this game... and yes, I do mean brag. Obviously, the awards should be tiered with awards for: 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 8 months, 12 months, 18 months, 24 months, etc.

All i got from that was BLAH BLAH BLAH Entitled... BLAH BLAH BLAH so Entitled...BLAH BLAH BLAH give me stuff cause i am Entitled and feel i deserve it... BLAH BLAH BLAH..

  16. LOL..... if 10 seconds doesn't do it for you... hit the pedal a second time. Personally I rarely need more then 10 seconds anyway.. so I don't see what the huge issue is.

you know over 50% of the replies to this Topic are from you with just senseless Gibberish in them.... Awesome...
