  1. Are snipers good in PvP? Well, mine is only 21 (lethality spec) and I've come close to 300k damage and over 50 kills in one WZ . I'm regularly over 200k damage and usually in the top two or three for medals. This is the first class I've considered levelling purely through PvP and class missions. It's that much fun. Even if I have people chasing me I can still do some pretty vicious damage while kiting, and if I get left alone in cover it's even better. Even in melee I'm not completely helpless unless I get focus fired.
  2. The Knight/Warrior classes are my favorite in the game by far. Before they nerfed some of the tougher bosses in the Knight story line on my Guardian, I got great satisfaction from taking them down solo- especially the final boss (the identity of which I won't spoil- pre-nerf he was a real pain in the rear to take down). It truly took a lot of thought and good use of all my abilities to beat some of those guys. It also took a lot of deaths, but now that I've got my Guardian play style down, I don't even think about it, it's all muscle memory (so to speak). Playing other classes is just so simple, it's almost boring. I'm leveling a Marauder now and loving it (not quite 20). The play style is similar enough to my Guardian that I know what I'm doing, but different enough that I still have to learn how to manage things like Fury and when to use things like Cloak of Pain and Berserk. Even so I've taken down plenty of much higher level players 1v1 in War Zones. I played a Shadow up to Chapter 3 in beta also, and it's a fun class, but in general I prefer the Knight/Warrior. I also have several other alts, but for me none are as much fun. Yes, the Knight/Warrior classes have a lot of abilities, and yes I use almost all of them regularly. I don't, however have them all key-binded, with a couple of exceptions (interrupts in particular). I do very well mouse-clicking though. Then again, I've been playing mmos for about fifteen years and I can't ever remember feeling the need to key-bind everything, even when I spent several years raid tanking three or four nights a week in EQ2. Mouse clicking just works better for me, but to each his own.
  3. I beat him pre-nerf solo /pats self on back. I tried probably ten or fifteen times to break line of site to avoid his nasty nukes and I kept dying over and over. Then I decided to see if I could kite him I found he had no tether so I kited him to the stairwell, beat off the first wave of clones then Force Pushed him down the hole. This got him to about 20% and then I finished him off. It felt appropriate considering how Palpatine died Maybe it was cheap, but it worked, wasn't a bug and I now I get to say I soloed him pre-nerf

    Hutball

Here's a thought: maybe you shouldn't have rolled a character on the overpopulated faction. Or maybe you should roll on a different server with a more balanced ratio. I play both sides on Lord Adraas (though mainly Republic) and I have ended up in Rep vs. Rep Huttball matches several times as well as Imp vs. Imp, so I know our population isn't too terribly balanced. On the other hand, if you were to roll on the less populated faction you'd get into matches that much faster. In any case, Huttball isn't going anywhere (nor should it) so whining about it won't change anything. Personally I love Huttball. Then again, I play a Jedi Guardian which is one of the funnest classes to play Huttball as (Force Leap/Guardian Leap ftw)
  5. It's on Nar Shaddaa in the Promenade cantina. To the OP though, I tend to do what some others have posted. I'll run Kira for easy mobs and doc for elites and champions. Doc is a phenomenal healer if you gear him up. I did the Mandalorian Terror heroic 4 on Balmorra the other night at level 36 (defense spec Guardian) with me and two Gunslingers. He kept me up no problem at all. I only died on the final boss at just a sliver of life left. Sometimes I'll take out T-7 just to give the little guy a workout. I'm on Hoth now, so I should have Sgt Rusk soon too.
  6. I beat him as a level 31 defense spec Guardian. He killed me four times I think before I figured out I needed to interrupt everything he did.
  7. I've gone so far as to go "all the way" with here, and I've only gotten Dark Side points for the very first flirt. Given that I'm almost Light IV and I'm only sitting at 150 DS points, I think 50 points won't kill me. I'd only worry if for some reason you absolutely must have zero Dark Side points. I also got Dark Side points for exposing the stupid Senator for trying to convince the Republic to side with the Sith and didn't regret those either.
  8. Note the little dot in the recipe list to the right of the name. This is the difficulty for the recipe. If it's green or above you'll get a skill up. If it's grey you won't. Like the guy above me said, go to the trainer to get more recipes.
