  1. i think a number like 30 wz for 10 ranked wz would sound just about right! maybe even be able to do this at a vendor really close to the pvp mission terminal so it's very convenient for everybody... great idea OP!

  3. yep... it's happened to me a few times already... 1 game we were 3 capping the other team, and this happens, and it boots me out...
  4. the door isn't random... it is a constant... like i mentioned before, it has 4 quadrants and it ticks 4x per quadrant = 16 sec total if you drop from the door, and get killed in 5 sec, you are now stuck behind the door for 11sec if you drop from the door, and live for 15 sec, you respawn, wait 1 sec and the door drops... and so on and so on... the only thing that is random is how long you will live...
  5. where are you people getting 30 and 45 second door timers from? the circle timer on the door has 4 quadrants... it blinks 4x in each quadrant... on full lockout it's a total of 16 seconds... is it not?
  6. yep, anytime your score is 2x less the other team's score, it's over... ie 160 - 300 = you can technically still win by turning and holding 2 turrets till end = 320 -300, you win 20 - 0 140 - 300 = you lose ---> if you hold cap 2 turrets till end at this point = 280 - 300, you will lose by 0 - 20 there is no way a team that is already down that much, can come back, triple cap and hold all 3... every other wz, you can possibly come back, but with civil war, the side speeders make it impossible...
  7. here my experience as a valor 86 MM sniper... the key is to react automatically and quickly but in the right way... they are counting on you being a noob, panicking, and using your escape to break out of the face down knockdown... step 1. be prepared - if you know there are ops/scoundrels around, get in entrench - a lot of ops are stupid and will pop out of stealth and waste their abilities when you are immune, at which point you laugh, and kill them... feel free to legshot or debilitate and drop orbital strike + any normal dps combo, or cover pulse or ambush kb and leg shot... whatever you wish... step 2. calm & patience - if you are not prepared and proceed to get knocked face down... DON'T use your escape... let them hit you for half your health... the whole time you are face down, target them and spam your debilitate... as soon as the knockdown is over, you stun them and run away, heal yourself... 2a. - if they don't break your stun immediately, apply a dot (if they choose to stealth and don't cleanse it, it will pop them out of stealth), and run away to gain distance, leg shot if necessary... throw in a diversion as well... if they cloak, suppression fire to de cloak them, proceed to kill them... otherwise, the worst that will happen is they have to cloak and the fight is a draw.... 2b. - if they break your stun immediately, flashbang him and run away... heal yourself and kill them... 2c. - if he's at full resolve and you can't flashbang him, pop evasion + leg shot, run away or get in entrench, cover pulse (it has a few seconds root even if it doesn't do the kb), drop orbital, continue dps combos... 3. notice that not once have you used your escape in any scenario so far... FYI if they cloak, they can't run as fast as you... create distance... note: this is assuming you both have all cooldowns available... if you have no cc's ready, you are hooped... take the death or hope you have friends lol note2: if you see an op/scoundrel unloading on one of your teammates, be a pal, and stun and diversion the enemy guy and tell your teammate to run...
  8. if the devs insist that side speeders have to be in the game, maybe a fix to alderaan should be that simultaneous capping by your team can cause the cap to go faster, much like novare coast? would definitely result in an increase in the attacking team's ability to capture a turret!
  9. i wish they removed the side speeders too... would definitely make the map more fun with more turret caps...
  10. i absolutely agree with you! base clubbing did that and i hated it... farming bases to give the individual points for rank... so stupid... however, don't confuse that with base raiding when there would be epic fights and bragging rights afterwards that made it actually feel like there is a galactic civil war going on...
  11. don't some jedi classes have an immunity to cc's? i know several times in void star at the start, i go left to cover our capper and i'll throw flashbang to mezz any enemies coming to snow and the fb fails...

  13. exactly... i love world pvp (huge fan of base raiding in SWG), but if you were to give gains of any kind for doing it, it should go to your faction and not personal gains such as valor or comms, etc... you don't even need to give gains, the faction pride and bragging rights of killing the enemy's base should be enough...

  17. i don't understand this comment at all... on my server, it seems that game matching now prefers reb vs imp more rather than same faction vs same faction... ex. 10 imps sitting on fleet, 8 rebs sitting on fleet game 1 starts 8 imps vs 8 rebs, 2 imps sit on fleet game 1 ends, game 2 starts 8 imps vs same 8 rebs, 2 imps sit on fleet the lesser populated faction (rebs) gets to play wz's more...

    our shield is getting a buff in 1.3 The amount absorbed by Shield Probe now scales properly based on character stats.

  20. anyone who played SWG and experienced pvp base raids knows how awesome world pvp is... my favorite memory was pvp'ing for 5 straight hours trying to take down a town's 2 large bases... we didn't succeed that time, but it was so much fun...
  21. it was interesting to see that he mentioned that 31pt assassins/shadows and marauder/sents were also fotm on his server... that's pretty much all i see on our server as well...
  22. i agree, getting some tech/internal damage would be nice... as well as the +5 m range for everything... i'd also like our main defensive abilities (shield probe and evasion) to be better than slightly useless... ie prevent/reduce damage from tech and force attacks... we don't have stealth, we don't have an immunity bubble... it's time our defense gets upped to be on par with others since we obviously aren't head over heals #1 in damage...

  24. i just checked... i have 318 bonus healing so ya... shield probe is still crap... i have 5 pieces of WH gear with augs...
