  1. You either made this up, or talked to an idiot. I work for EA. Let me just say that I don't work for Bioware, nor do I have any connection to the dev team directly. I do, however, work in a department that gives support for Origin. Here is the truth: When you ordered your copy of the game, digital download, you found two items in your order list. One was the game, at least 54.99. Under that would be a 5.00 pre-order charge. You were billed for the 59.99 (or higher depending on which version of the game you ordered). Then, 54.99 of that was released back to your charge card. The 5.00 pre-prder fee was kept, securing your copy of the game. At this time, you were sent an email comfirming your order. In that email was an invoice for your order, and it contained the following: Product SKU: 71065 Product Name: Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Digital Standard Edition Pre-Order Fee Qty Ordered: 1 Amount: $5.00 Serial Number: BLAH-BLAH-CODE-GOES-HERE Notice the product code is listed UNDER the "Pre-Order Fee"? That is your early access code that also rewards your account any pre-order items you would recieve. If you didn't get this code, you won't get Early Access, but you also won't get any Pre-Order items you are supposed to get. If you didn't get this code, contact Origin immediately to get it. You enter that code on the swtor.com website, and you are all set for Early Access. Actual product codes will be emailed to you when the software is "released" to the public. That date is expected to be the 16th, but some may not get their product code on the 16th. Of course, the charge of 54.99 has to clear before you will recieve your Product serial number. Once you get that email, with the product serial number, you come back to swtor.com and enter it in under your account details. You will be good to go at launch, 12:01 am CST December 20th. Do you happen to know the name of the person you talked to that told you differently? I'd sure like to pass it on to senior management that someone is lying to customers. Unless, of course, you are making this up. You can take what I said for fact. Hope that clears up your doubts. Cheers.
  2. You have to remember, too, that many people work during the day. How many of the sent emails have not yet been opened and used? How many people have not yet gotten into the game because they aren't home to play yet? Sure, maybe the servers are low, but if they sent out enough invite to crowd them up...we'll see a lot more people tonight. Let's wait and see what happens, THEN try to make a judgement. Fair?
  3. Yeah, because every other game in history did it best.... Whatever.
  4. Sith Empire does not provide resources to the Republic, and vice versa.
  5. Agreed. Besides, even if you only get 1 day of Early Access...it's a FREE day. They are giving you free game time. Even if you enter your product key today, you don't start your game time until the 20th. So many people are ungrateful and impatient. Learn some restraint. Go do something productive, I promise you, the game will be here when you get back.
  6. You don't register anything when you get your invite. You log in and play, plain and simple. At 10 pm on the 19th, the servers will go down for a two hour maintenance. Check your time zone to see what time this will be for you. At 12:01 am on the 20th, the servers will come back online. At that time, you MUST register your product code showing you paid for your game or you won't be able to log in to the game. Origin is supposed to send these codes out in time so that you don't have to wait to get back into the game, but they may not. I know that Amazon and GameStop have sent CE copies of the game out to some people already, but there is no official word on when product codes will be given out. It stands to reason that Origin will bill you and send codes on the 19th at the latest, so people don't have to wait for a code to continue playing. But as with everything, there is no guarantee.
  7. So the Counselor too then. They are basically identical.
  8. How? Your pre-order code is in already even if you cancel. Canceling just means you can't play starting midnight 20th, it doesn't remove your pre-order. You won't be getting in any sooner, no matter how many cancel.
  9. How do you know how many people got access so far? They aren't coming here to post, they are playing the game. Bioware isn't giving numbers. How do you know you wont' get in tomorrow, or even on the 15th...which by the way, is when they said they start Early Access anyway. If you get in on the 15th, which is highly likely according to the info I got...you get 5 days as they mentioned a long time ago. So, yeah...go ahead and cancel. You are obviously too immature to make good decisions, the game would be better off without you.
  10. The 5 bucks is deducted from the price of the game, so no one ripped you off. Just because the server isn't full doesn't mean that the starting areas aren't full. If they put 2000 people on a server at once, and they all flood into 4 starting zones...it's gonna be a little rough trying to complete the early quests and get out of there. Staggering the entry is about more than just server population. What good would it do you to be in the game if you had to wait 2 hours for a quest target to respawn, or the zones were laggy because everyone was still in them? Just learn some patience. It is the season of giving and charity, Bioware is going to give your a gift of free game time. So why not show you deserve it? You'd think most of you people have nothing else in their life worth anything. That's kinda sad.
  11. No one is getting screwed. They said up to 5 days, not even that you would get 5 days. However, as I have stated elsewhere. They started the roll-ins today because they want to try and get everyone in for the 5 days. This is all free time. You can play this Early Access time once you're in, even if you never complete the sale of the game. How is getting something for free getting screwed? What would be screwing you over is if they let everyone in at once, the servers crash, the starting areas are too flooded to be enjoyed and it was just a general mess. Then you'd be here whining about that. How about you show a little patience, find something constructive to do with your time, and quit thinking you are owed something.
  12. Depends on how many they sent per wave. Impatient you are being. Virtue it is.
  13. So someone disagrees with you...you decide to call them names? Typical. Unless you can go to the store right now, pick up a copy from the shelf, pay for it, walk out, go home, install and play....it is not yet official launch. It is Pre-Launch. Go ahead and call me names for disagreeing. That's what trolls do.
