  1. As promised, we started running Operations again. In addition to all previous content we've now cleared Terror From Beyond on story mode, and we're working on hard mode, with three out of five bosses down. Screenshots of the kills are on our website. I'd also like to extend a very warm welcome to everyone who's joined us the couple of days.
  2. Kaliyo's probably my favourite out of all the companions in the game. At the very least, she shares first place with Guss, Mako and Khem. My first Agent was a female Chiss sniper, and with Vector currently being the only romance choice for a female Agent, I went with him. He's an interesting character and there were a few heartwarming moments in the romance, I didn't feel it was quite right for my Agent. That, combined with my ending up not liking the Sniper class very much, made me reroll a male Operative. I already loved Kaliyo from when I played my female agent, but when I got to do the romance... it was exactly the sort of romance I'd imagined the agent would have. In comparison, Vector's felt sappy and rushed. Maybe it's because she's your first companion, but I felt that the relationship between the agent and Kaliyo was a hundred times more entertaining than the one with Vector. I guess this is me saying that she's a great character. She's attractive and cool both because of her looks and her personality. She kicks ***, and for a DPS operative she's the perfect combat partner, too. What else could you want? Well... there's one thing. Two femmes fatales are better than one. Just let me romance Kaliyo on a female Agent already. You know Kaliyo'd be totally into that.
  3. We're planning to restart out operations this week, with Terror from Beyond as well as lower-tier operations. If you've got a level 50 character that you'd like to run ops with in a relaxed and pressure-free environment, please check out our website or hit any of our officers up in-game.
  4. <Outer Rim Irregulars> Easy-going, EU-based, mature, casual-friendly guild for those 21 years or older <Outer Rim Irregulars> is a guild for mature gamers who are 21 years or older. The main goal of the guild is to provide players with a place to experience game content in a relaxed and friendly environment, without having to worry about event attendance or inactivity. Everyone in ORI knows that real life comes first, and whether you want to level alts or do operations, you won't have to worry about getting grief because of your play schedule. ORI isn't focused on one aspect of the game, be it PVE, endgame or PVP. We don't recruit based on the character you play or the gear it has. Instead, we're looking for similar-minded people who enjoy playing together. Despite this relaxed attitude, we've cleared all current endgame content and are eagerly awaiting the next operation to be released. Our ops runs are friendly but focused, we use Mumble, and we use a loot distribution system (Suicide Kings) that's fair to everyone who participates. When we're grouping together - whether it's a group consisting solely of guild members, or we've got others with us - we try to do the best job we can. It's no fun to have to tackle difficult content when you don't feel like everyone's giving their all. Simply put, what does this mean in terms of our expectations of our members? You can be serious when needed You can keep a cool head when things aren't going well You care about fun while playing in a team, not just the loot You're willing to learn to perform your role the best way you can You're willing to use voice chat, if only to listen What can you expect from your guildmates? A friendly but focused attitude to achieve our goals Fellow players who are knowledgeable about their role, or willing to learn from others A flexible schedule without any attendance tracking or mandatory raids Fairness and openness when it comes to any loot or materials If, after reading all this, you've got any questions about the guild or are interested in joining, drop by our website, send me a PM, or contact anyone of us in-game.
  5. Posting here to weigh in on this issue. I took up armormech on my first and main character at launch because I was under the impression that it would give me freedom to choose the visual style of my characters' gear through the modification system. I found it lacking then, and was excited to hear about the 1.2 changes. Sadly, 1.2 doesn't seem to have brought any new schematics, nor the possibility for me to RE existing custom gear into a schematic. I have an entire cargo tab full of custom pieces I like the look of, that I thought I'd be able to RE into schematics for me, my companions, my alts, and other people to wear. Since the patch I've spend tens of thousands of credits running all sorts of missions that could possibly yield schematics, but... nothing. At the very least, there seems to have been some sort of miscommunication about the nature of the armour crafting crew skills' changes in 1.2. I'm not seeing any of the improvements I read about, regarding new & more varied custom gear schematics. That being said, I'm hoping this'll be fixed and expanded upon in the future. The potential for custom armour is great, and I'm still looking forward to the day when I see a green piece of armour I like the look of, and there being a way for me to find it, and make it into a piece of custom gear.
  6. During my Smuggler's storyline, I decided not to give that Alderaanian ponce Darth Bandon's head. It'd be worth the 500 credits he'd have otherwise given me to have the head in a jar as a freighter cockpit rear view mirror ornament. Imagine my disappointment at discovering the jar was nowhere to be found aboard my ship. You'd think someone crazy enough to attempt to kick a rancor in the nuts wouldn't be squeamish about using a severed head in lieu of fuzzy dice. Please return Darth Bandon's head to the Captain, because she needs all the help she can get scaring Corso off of the ship.
