  1. I don't know that this is true. When they put the bundle up, they specifically have a 60 day game card and a 2400 CC card on the promotion. I think that the CC you get from the subscription is in addition to the 2400 from the promotion. Especially if you break it down, mathwise. $19.99 for SoR, $19.99 for 2400 CC, and $29.99 for 60 day sub. That equals out to the $69.97 on the promo page.
  2. Is this promotion available to subscribers that already have the current expansions? While it may not be a great deal for us, the offer still includes $50 worth of stuff for $40 (60 day game time and 2400 CC). So I want to know if it's possible for subscribers to also purchase this deal.
  3. Seems that the promotional one is "striated". Whatever the hell that means.
  4. My wife and I returned to the game just before 3.0 came out. Our guild died a long time ago, but we haven't found a new one yet. We're looking to join a casual guild, preferably with a good amount of people. My wife and I do not have a set time that we are on, so we'd like there to be others online at the same time that we are. At the moment, her main focus is running HM FPs in order to relearn her toon. She plays a Sorc healer. I typically play all different parts of the game, but tend to focus more on PvP. However, I'm definitely open to running PvE content as well. I main a PT tank, but have a level 55 Op that I may play again at some point. We're not looking to take Ops positions. We're not looking to have set time schedules for anything. We just want to have a pool of players that are looking to run different things as well. We have 4 young children, so our time commitments fluctuate wildly. If you think you have the guild for us, send me a reply or message me in-game. My toon's name is Starstrider. Thanks.
  5. I was already 5 days ahead with early access. Got in 1st or 2nd wave of invites. So, I was still leveling. Couldn't say what level or where I was at. Considering how buggy the game was (and still is), I still thought launch went pretty smoothly.
  6. Good. You know it's bad when you go to Makeb, there's 30 people there, and the lag monster has followed.
  7. I don't know if this has been asked, but I downloaded and started. Everything works but there are no servers for me to choose from. Edit : Hmmmm. Nevermind. The server list seems to be completely gone for me no matter what.
  8. Saw this bug a long time ago as well. Just recently started popping up for me again too. I don't even bother redoing my UI. I just look at my player bar if I'm concerned. Otherwise, I'm not looking.
  9. That's only for certain decorations, though. And, I don't know about your server, but mine has Universal MK-3's for 40-50k on the GTN. I mean, I understand that you don't like the RNG, but it's always been like that. And I'd rather they put it into crafting and make them mean at least a little something as opposed to the near nothing they've been for a long time.
  10. They do. That's why they ask you when you unsubscribe. It's not what the forums are for. As for your criticisms, I'm not particularly sure why you're criticizing them for the crafting missions that have been in since launch. It's the way mat gathering has been for nearly 3 years and it's finally become a problem? Strongholds, sure, I can see your point. But it's not how they designed it. It isn't as sandbox as Rift or Wildstar, but it's still pretty damn good for a hook system. As it is, later. I just re-subscribed, so we'll cancel each other out and the world will keep spinning.
  11. What was the price of Molecular Stabilizers before they started handing them out in Cartel Packs? No, the CM has already done a great job of ruining the in-game economy. The same thing goes for the lack of new armor models for Armormech and Synthweaving with the best looking armor models on the CM. I could go on for a long time about how the CM has ruined the viability of many crew skills for making credits. Cash sinks are important for MMOs. It's why Blizzard came out with expensive mounts, the Black Market AH, etc. But, seriously, how is offering appearance changes, at a kiosk, to subscribers for credits akin to anything being bought and sold on the GTN or CM? I highly doubt that you're going to be able to buy these things off of the GTN as opposed to needing to go to the kiosk and pay directly there for any changes you're making.
  12. Do you receive these "complementary" coins without a subscription? No. Does every other F2P game known to man offer "complementary" cash shop currency with subscriptions? Yes. "Complementary" is just a term that they use to let you pretend you're getting something sweet. It's part of your subscription. If they stopped giving you those CC with your sub, I highly doubt that you'd still be arguing they were just complementary.
  13. Oh, that's pretty obvious. I've seen the greed of Bioware with this game. But my complementary month's subscription runs out in 15 days so I figured I'd get all of this out now.
  14. Funny how you're making the assumption that somebody is interested in any of those things. You know how many players don't really care about endgame and spend much of their time leveling alts? The amount of casual players far outweigh the amount of people that are gung ho about any of the things you've listed.
  15. That's not "free" for a subscriber. It's still costing them Cartel Coins. Things they only get because they're paying a subscription. Methinks your definition of "free" and the actual definition of "free" are two different things. Even still, you didn't bother answering the question as opposed to deflecting. Why can't they give it to subscribers for in-game credits? Until you answer the question, you're just defending blatant greed.
  16. And there's nothing stopping EA from providing the new species and the new customizations to subscribers for in-game credits. See? We can both play this game.
  17. I'd say less. They should have just made the game B2P if they were going to spend so much time focusing on the Cartel Market.
  18. That's actually untrue. TSW gives you $10 worth of Funcom Points and a 10% discount as a subscriber. That equals out to about $11 in Funcom Points for a $15/month subscription. Plus they've given out subscriber rewards of 10 coins to buy items that are borderline P2W and some cosmetic things. Also, you still have to pay for any content updates. Here's my question, which will likely go unanswered. Cathar on Cartel Market. Customization costs Cartel Coins. So where's the "Game Update"? From what I can see, this is all a Cartel Market update. Where's the promised content every 6 weeks? Oh wait, I'm sorry, I forgot that it's 6-8 weeks now. So where's the promised in-game content every 6-8 weeks? None of what has been presented is being offered in-game. It all requires a purchase of some kind. Whether you're a subscriber or a F2P/preferred player, you're going to have to spend money one way or another to access the features of this "Game Update". Just another in a long line of lies from the mouths of Bioware. Shout out to Darth Hater for giving me a free copy of this "expansion" with a free month's subscription so I could come on here and blast these lying, cheating, money grubbing Devs one more time. The proof is in the pudding, fellas. You're all just lying to your customers. I hope it makes you feel good. You know, the funny thing is that they didn't even bother attempting to sugarcoat it. Normally the SWTOR Insider has the Cartel Market guy and the Developer talking about separate things. This time around, it was just the Cartel Market guy. Well folks. There you have it. Additions to the Cartel Market can now be considered "in-game content". I hope you feel good about getting ripped off.
  19. You mean mentalities like yours which lead to Pay 2 Win?
  20. I doubt Disney has anything to do with what is going on at EA and Bioware. Same with Lucas. The guy just wants his cut of the money. As it is, Makeb is the very last of the content they had in their back pocket when they announced F2P. Like I said earlier, my guess is that team gets fired and replaced with artists to create more unique armor models, speeders, etc. for the Cartel Market. That's where the content will be from then on.
  21. What difference does it make? 99% of every species is the exact same. The only difference is one social ability (Twi'lek dance, etc.). Every other characteristic is a carbon copy. I mean, why give different species different dances when they can just charge you for it in the CM, amirite?
  22. This is the line they're crossing? Not the brand new armor models offered up for a reputation based around handing them more money than your current subscription? No, they've been crossing the line for a while. This is just another middle finger to the subscriber. If you're not giving them enough money through the Cartel Market, you're the new second class citizen and Preferred/F2P has become third class.
  23. Because nobody likes to change hairstyles, right? If only we could all be as vanilla as you. Barber shop for CC is another way of Bioware saying "Give us MOAR money". Being a subscriber is a rip-off. If you really want the truth, this "F2P" model should be run like this. What Preferred currently get should be what F2P players get. What Subscribers currently get should be what Preferred players get. And what the whales on the Cartel Market receive should be what subscribers get. Instead the motto over at Bioware is "Monetize Everything". It kind of reminds me of the movie "Moving" with Richard Pryor where he's going through the house and the sellers keep telling him jokingly, "We're taking that with us" when referring to the pool, refrigerator, etc. Then when he finally gets to the house, the pool, refrigerator, and everything else they joked they were taking is gone. You'd like to think that this model and the way they're going about things are a joke, but it's not. It's the sad truth. Don't worry folks, P2W will be in your local Cartel Market shortly.
  24. Actually, it isn't. There is no individual class stories here. It's just another planet with another planetary story arc. Your class story will remain at Chapter 3, even though they're referring to the story content in this "expansion" as Chapter 4.
  25. To not be bombarded by constant reminders that you're not a subscriber? Oh, and also to access all the things that normal F2P games already give their F2P players, like unlimited Operations and WZs. You know. Access to the game.
