  1. I had a feeling this day would come, not this quickly though, so I did the same and just got used to it... well mostly. I'll still miss doing up to 11k in 2.6 seconds D:
  2. I said I wasn't gonna do it. I was going to avoid romance with the Jedi woman. I'm sorry Andronikos!! http://i.imgur.com/PIWLv.jpg
  3. ^This. Took the words right out of my mouth... or fingers... or whatever.
  4. Thank gods for more healers! Ricqo has already linked a fantastic healing guide. You may also want to check out the Force Heal forums as well as the plethora of blogs (most of which you can find on my website). It's so great that you're looking to heal. It's all very easy at the moment so there could be no more perfect a time for you to jump in an start learning!!
  5. I've had some pretty rancid pugs.
  6. Oh gods, yes I made a mistake. It is, indeed, from the 2-set so you could gain the bonus from both. I would still recommend the PvE set though because A. The 50 force is actually quite nice and makes your consumption give back more (48->52) and B. PvP gear looks horrendous* (and that's reason enough!) Thank you for your correction Bustha, I feel totally stupid right now. *Why does a progression player care about looks? Operations are incredibly easy at the moment and, in the words of Glinda "It's not about aptitude, it's the way you're viewed."
  7. Just remember that the first pull in BT is the hardest (unless they fixed it). From then on, it's a cake walk. Good luck!!
  8. Great question ChampT, Even though we sorcs don't have many force issues, I'd still suggest the PvE (Columi) 4-set. The choice between being able to cast Innervate more frequently and being able to re-shield someone a little sooner is a matter of style and preference. So really you could go with either. I suggest the PvE set because your PvE gear doesn't contain the useless stat of Expertise. Your PvE pieces only have stats that are useful (when modified accordingly*). Force regen may not be an issue right now, but as you move through the more difficult content, you'll really start to appreciate the more-frequent Force Surge procs. *The reason I mention modifying your gear is because many of our set pieces are poorly itemized. You'll get all the alacrity you'll need really quickly so I'd suggest doing your Ilum dailies and getting the Crit/Surge mod from Poisonous Strategy.
  9. Here's a video for Karagga on 16 Nightmare. It's a healer (ranged) PoV and it was our first kill so it's a bit sloppy, forgive me! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAOnzKg5QS4&context=C328293eADOEgsToPDskLDMDxWyO1_8467gB-TWTOn
  10. Took the words right from my mouth Iwipe! @Aravel Dramion's spec http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201GGrRbd0dGzZf00MZoM.1 would be considered the most optimal for PvE/end-game. 0/2 Dark Resilience: You'll almost never use Consumption without a Force Surge freebie Proc. 0/2 Conspiring Force: You'll never use Affliction in an operation/flashpoint setting. 0/2 Fadeout: The prerequisite (Dark Resil) is not worth the utility of this skill, maybe for PvP, but not end-game. 2/2 Ligtning Barrier: More powerful shields are just plain awesome. 1/2 Sith Defiance: It's a small damage reduction, but it's kind of the best of the worst (not saying it's bad) when you only have one talent to spend.
  11. In answer to the topic question, yes Empty Body is worth it.
  12. There is all kinds of unavoidable damage in end-game encounters that make Empty Body good for PvE as well. It should in every healer build imo, PvP and PvE.
  13. Mental Alacrity shouldn't be up there with healing benefits since it's deep in the dps tree and won't benefit a dedicated healer. Otherwise, a very quick and informative look at the different healing classes.
  14. I wouldn't say it's like the best talent in the world and is so incredibly valuable, but is does have value and it the least useless choice to make in order to get to 30 points in the Corruption tree. There is always going to be unavoidable damage and it helps to get healed faster when that damage hits, so yeah, it's worth it. I'd suggest this spec and here is why.
  15. Why spec into Dark Resilience if you're going to use Consumption with Force Surge procs? The points would got to better use maxing out Empty Body and getting a 1% damage reduction from Sith Defiance. You'll almost never use Consumption when it's not free which makes Dark Resilience practically useless unless you're going for Fadeout (which frankly, should have Efficacious Currents as a prerequisite, makes more sense).
  16. Subversion and Dark Resilience are useless in PvE. You'll end up spending more than you get back with Sub and you'll almost never use Consumption when it's not free so a 2% redux on something that rarely happens is pointless. The speed bubble has its uses in PvP, but is just not worth the 2 prereq points in DR. The slow is good for PvP, but terrible for PvE since you'll never encounter a pull where something needs to be slowed in end-game. DeanMontague has the right idea. Finish off the +crit in Seeping Darkness. More crit chance = more Innervate crits = more Force Surge = more free force. Fhatal's spec is spot-on. Same spec I use.
  17. Fadeout would be so much more justifiable if Efficacious Currents was the prerequisite... which would make much more sense since both talents affect Static Barrier.
  18. I wouldn't suggest a hybrid build for end-game PvE, but if I did, I would go with Daellia's Corruption/Madness build. You're going to get more utility from Madness and your regen doesn't suffer as much without Force Surge procs. Subversion is not meant for healers, it's intended to increase longevity for dps. Here's a long-winded explanation. Short version: Exerts more force than you get back and wastes possible healing time every 10 seconds.
  19. Personally, I wouldn't bother with Dark Resilience, Fadeout, or Conspiring Force for a PvE build. You'll almost never be using Consumption when it's not free (via Force Surge) and moving from "bad" doesn't require much haste, at least not enough to warrant 2 points in a useless prerequisite talent. The most difficult fight for movement, in my opinion, is Soa and it only becomes an issue if people pay no attention to lightning balls. As for Conspiring Force, you're not going to see many mobs coming for you as a healer. Again, maybe for Soa's lighting balls, but not worth the points in my opinion. I would suggest this build (31/7/3) for end-game PvE. It's working out quite well for myself as well as my guild's other sorc healer. Here's a detailed breakdown of my talent selections. Hope this helps!!
  20. It's entirely possible to level 10-50 as Corruption. It will be a tad slow, however, you can speed it up by keeping Khem Val's gear up-to-date.
  21. I would strongly caution you against a hybrid build for end-game content. You're only going to be half effective in an Operation without fully committing to one role. In 8-mans you need at least 2 healers, especially for Pylons and Soa, doing their best. Just say "no" to hybrids. I would suggest, however, the M1 Build for end-game healing. Don't bother with Subversion, it's a trap talent for healers. Here's a post explaining why.
