  1. Hi there I am wondering which type of healing gear (PVP, PVE, MIXED) to use in warzones, being as theres a bolster with pve gear. I know that the expertise gained will still be low, but the huge increase in all the stats may outweight that for healers?. If anyone has some insight with what the best action to take is, please help me find it. Much appreciated ^^

In the 55 bracket, the pugs on imps have gotten significantly better (probably rep re rolls), before 2.0 the majority of rep pugs were willing to listen, imp pugs average were just plain old fools. The decent rep players (not all, but some) have given up with rep side warzones. They have just lately, started making 4 man premades or more and filling the rest of the spots for two teams worth of rep pugs for ranked warzones. They have also made a 4 man + premade with rep pugs and sent someone to form an 8 man pug imperial team for ranked, knowing full well the rep team would smash them. People these days just want the easy wins without having to fight to get the win. Dont blame the factions, blame the people who are not taking the initiative any more.
  3. This game is going to be just like vanilla and tbc wow. Mixed pve and pvp dominated, people that were not able to do end game raids missed out BIG TIME. Sure, make PvE gear tolerable for PvP. But with the most likely superior stats the PvE gear will have in comparison to PvP, it shouldn't get enough expertise bolster to be capable to mix with PvP gear at a certain amount. Seems like it may leave an unfair advantage.

  6. no offence, but a commando who doesnt take advantage of range, LOS or even have a proper rotation other than grav spam button until he overheats cant honestly consider himself the best
  7. So hold on, you want to ban people from doing the smarter option?. I'm sorry but there would literally be no point to pvp games if there was only a solo que, pvp is the main attraction from all BIG mmo's that have it. You are basically saying to make this game extinct. Thinking outside the box, a large part of the games community comes from pvp grouping/guilds And some servers do not have ranked at all so it would'nt matter.

  9. Ive chosen this spec in terms of PvP. Now that lighting barrier has changed from 20% - 2 points to 10% - 2 points,, there is no point speccing into it as the passive absorb rating from barrier is not high.   10. I remember when this game was coming out and was released. The idea of a Jugg/Guardian was to take hits, not have the capability of topping 1 mil damage in voidstar and civil war when theres no bubble stun to challenge them. and also being able to hit 7k - 8k with a bloodthirst activated (thats with 1214 expertise). When stun bubble gets nerfed and if smash doesnt, i guarantee you will be seeing x3 the amount of complaints about smash, so nerfing it will be inevitable. All you need is two smashers on a team, and you already know that the opposition is in trouble. ive seen a premade use a Power tech and 1 - 2 smasher combo. it was literally GRAPPLE/BURST and in less than 6 seconds, they were dead, myself included. Ive also done an experiment with my friend where he activates crush and i purge the second i get it, my friend still gets 2 stacks for the damage boost. same with cc breaking choke straight away. Now imagine that in a warzone where you cant stare at your debuffs most of the time, you got close to no chance of purging before 3 - 4 stacks (which is when smash becomes very powerful). People saying that smash isnt op are the smashers themselves to be honest. My guild has the best juggernaught ive ever seen in game and since smash got buffed, he's never done under 400k damage even vs a stun bubble team, and 400k is the bare minimum he could possibly do so far.

To be honest it is true dps sorcs can be squishy when focussed on. however, the ones who can actually play the dps spec to its full capabilities (not me, im only good with the heals ^^) tend to top dps meters if not almost top them. I do know this much, if you are honestly being focussed in a game where theres good premades/players both sides, you shouldnt be getting much aggro to the point where you cant do any dps, otherwise the other team clearly arent doing their job properly. Also if you are doing the typical attack the second you see the enemy, without taking a few seconds to position yourself in a spot where the typical enemy route wouldn't make you visible then you deserve to get killed/cc'd. A lot of commando dps do that mistake, and they get royally screwed over because of it. Also another thing is prioritising your targets, if you go against a good sorc healer, they know to watch for the dots and instant purge on hotkey which means 0 damage for you if you madness focussed. So maybe wait for the big focus nuke, or just choose another target, smasher etc.
  12. I have been playing since the beta testing onwards until now, and i am still yet to see any blatant hacking. I have seen some exploits in the game such as being able to run through the doors on attackers voidstar (when game has not begun yet) and cap the door the second the doors have just opened (fixed) etc. but yea, either i have been very lucky not to be in a game where there was hacking involved. or they don't exist to the calibre where it is causing loses in pvp games. There are also a lot of people that call my guildies hackers also which i find funny tbh. some people may genuinely think there are hackers due to their experience from other games (CS especially) but unfortunately, most people consider any exceptionally skilled players hackers because they play the game at a high quality in comparison to the accuser, so it is very hard to take accusations like these seriously without videos/print screens to backup the theory.

Well reps tend to do better in the mornings/late night time almost everyday due to the big imp players/guilds not being online and the role-playing imperials still wearing lvl 37 - 43 gear during those times when it comes to level 50. prime time (when it counts) unfortunately imperials are dominating at the moment.
  14. Hi I play a sorc healer and i play both full heal and hybrid heal. Stun bubble and smash in the current state they are in are op whether we like to try to defend our class or not. In a game of rock, paper, scissors where there is no paper, smash and stun bubble is rock, the only difference is that stun bubble is a bigger rock. We may lose about 300k+ worth of healing (even though today ive done 989k healing in civil war and topped over 1 mil twice in hyrbid anyway), but we make up for that by cutting down enemy dps/burst drastically just by rotating the bubbles again and again. THIS IS a major game changer in terms of pvp and i am fair enough to see that with my main. The best way to resolve the matter would be to: - Make stun bubble work only on the caster - Completely/Mildly change lightning tree and make it a self defensive buff spec instead of a control/dps spec By making lightning a defensive tree only, we can stop saying sorcs are squishy unless we have stun bubbles and it can finally be made fun and much more skill required again by having to time the defensive skills in lightning tree if the tree were to be changed. Lets be honest, since you have been hybrid healer. Who has honestly had to spend points in the 20% slow perk in affliction?? its got to the point where its no longer challenging to kite or need to slow spam for that matter, or continuously heal people ever since the resolve system turned to mush. Madness is already the superior dps table, when used properly out of the two. so no need to waste time putting these other offensive skills in lightning. Please BW take this information on board. Yes we are a squishy class without the use of stun bubble spam/pushback snares, so why not try giving defensive buffs into the lightning spec, instead of a whole game of the poor enemies being trolled over and over again.

From my first post, any player with common sense can exploit the stealth camping/interupts in a voidstar (defence), Civil war (mid) and hutball (over all), and because of it, allows easy wins vs a team that would have otherwise won the match. Ive not done this once or twice, ive been doing the same trick over and over on purpose to display just how effortless and ridiculous it can be. And yea they can be easy to nuke down and i have a sorcerer healer, which i always make time to maintain dots on the stealthers to break them out of stealth if they pop the CD, but with assassins that pay attention to the details, they will activate shroud (1 min cd, which should be at least 1.30 cd) that will remove those effects and enable them to stay in stealth for the remainder. and yet again, stall in CW mid/sides or voidstar (defence) for backup to arrive again, even if the other team is better. Yes they can do other things, i didnt say otherwise. But doesnt stop the fact that its being exploited by a lot of players, including me. And i could see stealth restrictions in certain radius of an objective area making a difference and it barley damages the players who actually do something more than stealth camping/interupts with the assassin class.
  17. Does anyone else agree that the stealth camping issues in war zones should be sorted out?? All you see in Hutt ball are assassins having stealth, pull, shroud and stun in easy to reach hotkey's. just constantly stealth camping mid (allowing them to do quick seismic grenade, pushback, stun vs the enemies who reached mid first, just before the ball re spawns and ninja grab it. The only logical choice is having cc breaker on standby while spamming right-click (assuming its not on CD, or don't get stunned a second time). the second they ninja the ball, they have other stealther/s in spots past the pits or at the goal line its self where once the ball is thrown, its a matter of quick hotkey press and out of stealth within 0.7 seconds. on the server i play, in my teams when we want to do that we say "do cheap tactic (lol)" I recently made an assassin in 4 pieces of WH and recruit gear since 1.6 and i literally didn't bother doing dps and stealth camped goal line and in between pit in hutt ball vs good pvp guild premades and so far only lost 1 game while i stood there scoring easy goals after a pass. Another issue is in voidstar (defence) where i would hang around mid, watching both doors or just the side taking on too much damage to hold. and grenade etc. and stealth back, just doing that alone usually brings back reinforcements unless its a full door timer where ill just sacrifice myself and just end up re-spawning on an open door anyway. also on attack (2nd door) i can pull the good enemy healers near the edge, stun/pushback off into the pit. which at the 2nd door causes big problems since its very healer demanding to hold it. Don't really need to mention pit pulls and stun locks either to be honest. The issue isn't that they can stealth because many mmo's have those classes, the issue is that they are the most all around class in the game that just happen to have stealth. you see a rouge in wow that can tank/pull/stunlock in an objective based game and you know that's going to cause issues that should be resolved. I'm not saying all assassin players are bad, because that's not true. I'm saying that its very easy for assassins to do lots of contribution without getting your hands dirty and end game, causing wins for your team that aren't deserved in the first place. The only way i can see issues getting solved are if warzone gives stealthers a restriction of where they are allowed to stealth within certain radius around an objective/certain point. or make in-combat stealth only last for a few seconds (like with the marauder/sentinel) If no one else agree's, that's fine. but ive been playing since the beta tests, and it really doesn't require a pro to exploit it, its simple common sense players that can do it and appear pro. doing next to no dps in a game and giving so much contribution (when they are not guarding a quiet objective in some war zone types) is just ridiculous to be honest.
  18. The only thing that's keeping Imperials ahead in pvp are Sith Dominion and Requiem. The pugs on imps are actually worse than on reps, you can ask salvation players that also. The only reason as to it being easy mode on imps is because these two guilds are making it that way.

    clearly you dont understand the disadvantage healing sages/sorcs are at with out the hybrid spec. You talk unrealistic babble about kiting (which every player with common sense knows i might add) but the thing you fail to understand that its easy to take down full tree healing sorcs, full tree has the same escape rotation over and over, they are too predictable to take advantage of, PT's in particular. Kiting during a stun lock, snare and slowed down yourself?? what skill next?? overload?? then force speed out, oh wait grappled, perhaps use 1 min stun?? (assuming its not on cd), cc breaker or simply wait, either way the last few seconds is a cake walk. now sorc cant purge the PT dot that boosts their damage output, too bad you dead mate. This is with one smart person, can you honestly imagine what 2 people focusing sorc would do?? you will be lucky to get out of the stun to escape. if you are a good healing sorc, people will know who you are and in my case, in an average game, be focused on by at the least 3 people (no that is not an exaggeration) the least damage ive taken on my healer so far since 1.3 is 107k. most dps don't even take on that much damage in the average game. The common people who complain about this hybrid spec are the melee dps who cant take advantage of OP rage spec anymore or the easy to play assassins who aren't the only ones who can take over stun rotations anymore, although half the games they like to stealth camp objectives for interrupts or camp ball respawn for quick grenade/overload, or perhaps stealth at enemy line and hot-key stealth for when team passes ball to them. rock, paper, scissors my friends. The best thing they can do for sorcs/sages running hybrid is to either prevent manual debuff, double the amount of resolve the enemy gains from being stunned or increase the individual timers for another bubble to be casted on them. ive played PT (easy to kill sorcs i might add if you actually take the time to pay attention to rotations and almost possible to solo hybrid), mara (who should have cds on 30 stack buffs instead of easy berserk followed by massacre spam every 40 seconds if the player knows what they are doing anyway) and a sorc (played both specs, troll bubble is more fun since its a taste of what button bashers used to do to them before 1.3 constantly
