  1. Funny you said that, because in season 2. I was ^^. You are referring to the (strictly) leaderboard games that are completely situational to just the right dps/tanks/healers on each team with a full duration game (so basically nothing but a number derp game, which any novice that knows a rotation can do). And most likely merc healers that are not top tier (at all). Really has no say tbh. I am talking about your more realistic games that will be of a more regular occurrence. Like i said, merc healers are lowest tier healers atm. But they are more than capable healers in 8v8. You need to read more clearly sir.
  2. In 8v8 they are still useful. The reason so many people think they are trash or cant survive someone focusing them is because they just don't have the experience, mind set or the skill cap for that particular healer. I have no problems keeping people alive and managing my heat in doing so from the new expansion anymore. Merc healer has the highest skill cap, pretty much always did for the reason that everything you do, every position you move to needs to be out of the box thinking. I have no problem keeping up with operatives and sorcs in 8v8. Even high tier sorc healers I only go 200k maybe 300k lower in overall healing than them, which is nothing being as merc healers are (I must admit) lowest tier healers vs sorcs (highest tier). Ultimately, if you are underperforming as a merc and its clearly showing it. You need to go with a sorc, its a lot more forgiving of a class.
  3. Hi there. I have played on all of the English speaking rp servers UK and US. But could you simplify what you are trying to ask?. Cant really understand the question.

  5. Hi Well I'd much rather not give my background story until I send an app really, not really one for giving out who I am on a public forum (I like privacy etc.). I don't mean to come off as rude. I'm from different server before this one. Was just hoping someone would be kind enough to give me information on which guilds from imp side best describe what im looking for. Thanks
  6. Hi all, I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Looking for a quality over quantity guild that focusses pvp/ranked. Where I can apply for a tryout. Which guilds are in the top of that description if anyone can help. Thanks in advance.

  9. Operatives ARE the top healers, due to their constant ticks of heals. mercs aren't far from them in terms of healing however, but mercs bring more to the table overall imo.
  10. Yea, its more of a top tier vs average tier thing then. Sorcs cant do better overall in competitive top tier games with people of the same calibre, theres a reason no one uses them for ranked and gets over 2.6k rating other than skankers or queue syncers/dodgers. If I may ask, which server do you speak of anyway? http://s28.postimg.org/v5qx6ikjf/Screenshot_2014_08_16_00_41_01_380616.jpg non rigged games like this shows you differences in healing. Granted the commando healer in that game is a top tier healer who knows how to manage heat the whole game, shalissa and lasagne are boarderline top/high tier healers. But you get my drift.
  11. Or the healers you been against were just bad. sorcs dont out play operatives/mercs in top tier pvp its a sad fact at the moment, consumption healing up to 1/4 of sorcs scoreboard numbers wont change that. They are cast based healing, and will always be the easiest to shutdown. Cant beat the limits of the class.
  12. I play sorc and merc healer. But I must disagree with you about best 8v8 healers being sorcs. Before mercenaries got a buff, sorcs were a fair bit under operative healers and mercs were nowhere to be found. But i must say that its more of a debate between mercenary and operative healers for 8v8 now. Merc and operatives can have constant aoe healing/hots/healing on damage going off, including crit proc kolto shells. Heat management is a cake walk if you are in the top tier of performance with mercenaries and operatives. Operatives will more likely bring more total heals into the equation for obvious reasons. But mercs will always have constant sustained and aoe heals on the table, plus A LOT of utility for target switching burst, stealth detection etc. Sorcerers in the top tier will always need to be using a consumption in their rotations for maximised force management. Which means you are still going through a gcd delay which isn't to heal any players. And literally the only way to perform slightly under an operative and merc healer in an overall game is by using self heals from consumption every rotation. You are basically doing 1/4 or less total healing via. self healing from self inflected damage. GCDs that aren't used via healing, will always stack and undermine the healing class in competitive games. operatives and mercs gcd usage is always used to give off heals. without the real need to waste time using a skill to help manage resources. Aside from aoe heal with a 15 second cd if i remember, sorcerers are completely cast based healers, and a simple tab interrupt on innervate can screw you over in terms of burst healing and easier force management. Out of all 3, the sorcerer is the most susceptible to tunnel shutdown by even 1 tunnel visioner because of the vast cast based heals they have as well as being the squishiest. Mercenary in todays game is mainly on the move healing with some quick cast based healing. And operatives are obviously on the move healers. Mercenary and operative healers will always have heals on their team, even when they have to self heal from dps because of shells and kolto probe/cloud etc. annnny way, merc and operative for 8v8 imo. ^^
  13. Worth asking black nova guild. They planning to do team ranked and are looking for dps. /w snor and co.
  14. honestly, the ranking system should have started lower tbh. The only thing that i didnt agree with was the DR you got once you reached 2500 onwards. You were gaining 3 rating and losing up to 25.
  15. Well its understandable tbh. Its an RP server. The only time solo ranked really pops is after the reward announcements. My advice would be to just make a team for ranked, then you will definately be able to find someone to face, at any day.
  16. Not sure of the rest, but you wont get a solo rated game unless you take initiative to get people to queue. Other than that, theres 2 or 3 teams that are willing to do ranked. Rest In Pieces guild in particular on imp side. So if you have/make a team for group ranked and ask them to queue, they will do so.
  17. Hi, Are there any arena teams to go against? we are eager to do some arenas and learn.
  18. Hi guys, Mandingoo here. Yea, i was on Darth Nihlus before tofn. Games have been pretty fun apart from last night, lost 83 elo from 2 server DCs and few games 3v4 four games in a row (queue sabotager for repsi think), was not nice at all ^^. But got my rating back up and then some from what it was on nihlus this morning/afternoon. (thanks for the games skylash, osdo, zina). Im just on tofn temporarily to raise my rating to a certain point, then im going back to play with my friends. I work on prime time hours so i cant play competetive pvp (group ranked) and so on, so not much point for me to stay on tofn after im satisfyed with my rating. I have had my bad games where i think, what that fudge am i doing. But we all get that im sure ^^. Didnt realise i was on the topic until today hehe. I look forward to seeing you all later tonight!. Go easy on me! .
  19. Snain, Daegon, Axurion, Talve
  20. Solo ranked is on, but only on rep side really.
  21. Well in terms of playing every class at their full capabilities, i would have to say since 2.6, the commando healers are better than both other healers (even in ranked). Commandos have the highest skill cap out of all 3 healers so you dont tend to see many mando healers that stand out. Since 2.6 they have changed from stationary healers to on the move healers, now they are the hardest out of the 3 to shutdown if played in the top tier.
  22. #1 - Mercenary: They already have more utility/mobility/survivability since 2.6 once played properly. The mercenary bust heal frequency will be raised by about double as their cd which makes any cast ability instant is reduced from 2 min, to 45 seconds. On top of that, they have electo net which is lethal when you want to force a cc breaker, or down a target who used cc breaker while you aoe stun the rest of their team. They will be the top notch healers for ranked at the top tier. Lower tier, it wont be as necessary to have a mercenary healer. #2 - operative: Operatives are still going to be VERY effective healers in the top tier level. Only difference now is that the class will be a very skill dependant healer now. The special operative healer players will not have a problem keeping people topped up. However, people who were previously not in the top tier level with that class will no longer be able to get away with relying on instant heal spam on execution range health to keep people alive now. The class will have to be used wisely now, no room for slack on heals now. #3 - sorcerer: This class (although my favorite healer), will still be of no use in arenas. The global cd on consumption + health loss even with 4-set pvp just kills any chance of maintaining heals like a mercenary and operative. On top of that, the utility is even less than a mercenaries (even more so that madness cant be purged and smash/force crush dot is invalid in 2.7). The sorcerer buffs for healers is fantastic in normal warzones, but it will not cut it in arenas. The pest part of the healing buff is the procs from barrier. But the issue with that is it is a LAST RESORT abiltiy. Meaning, 90% of the time, you wont be able to use it more than once in an entire round. Your team will be under too much pressure to get the full stacks of the proc ticks from barrier. And you or a team mate will most likley die 30 seconds after using it due to shutdown/out of force/no defensives left to protect a clothy. Sorcs are the easiest healer to shutdown and nuke down to execute hp. The only way to make sorcerer healers viable in top tier ranked arena is to: - Reduce force barriers Cd to 2 minutes to make it more casually used so you can take advantage of the procs. - Remove that immune to pushback crap on innervate since shutdown is the issue anyway not pushback, and give a defensive type proc from an innervate cast which lasts so many seconds - Take away global CD on consumption or remove the hp loss from it when berserk procs are active - And/or return stun bubble, but only make it self able. Maybe not all of these in one go, otherwise sorc healers would be the new fotm, but maybe 2 of that list implemented on the class ^^.
  23. If you playing tank or healer (the two most important roles in solo ranked). Depending how good you are. You will either be the carrier or the carried. That usually judges your win/loss ratio
  24. Still debating to myself whether to think of this post as a trolling attempt, or just a l2p thread...
  25. In terms of ranked, Mercenaries are already on par with operative healers. Come 2.7 merc healers will have almost x2 more frequent burst healing due to reduced instant cd by over 1 minute. In terms of utility and mobility, mercenaries have been better than operatives since 2.6 all thanks to the mass kolto shell + self rapid shot heals. That buff alone has turned mercenary healers from, stationary healers, to on the move healers. I rarely have to use long cast heals anymore in competetive ranked. On top of that, we have electro net. Which i have found works incredibly well with carnage marauder, depection assassin, jugg tank, aoe stun/nuke phase focus setups. The playstyle of mercenary healing has completely changed now. you have to either adapt to it, or just fall behind.
