  1. the picture must be photoshopped because sorcs are, contrary to popular opinion, a very bad class.

at least that's what the baddies tell me.

  2. Oh....I love when people say things like this.

    It's a fact is it?

    Prove it.

    1. find a (very - ghost town) low pop server and a high pop server

    2. wait for the low pop server to hit standard or heavy, log on check the numbers

    3. realize the high pop server is still at light/standard even though 3-4 times the amount of people are currently online, relative to the ghost server

    4.???

    5. profit

    or check torstatus.com

completely empty servers will show pretty high up there because their caps are so low they will often be at "standard-heavy" more than much better populated servers.

I pity you for being unable to realize how easy it is to check if this is a fact or not. I guess you were waiting for screenshot history or something now? Sorry this comment is about the most I care about educating you.

  3. Please take a look at current sales. It is going to be tough to maintain what you are quoting.

I dont even get why people get hung up on sales numbers, "official responses based on secret ingame metrics" or any of that.

the only thing that matters is /who at prime time. It's that simple really. There are servers (the most populated ones at launch - the ones were people migrate to now) with a healthy pop. And there is a dozen servers for every one of those where the pop decline cannot be denied.

you just make yourself look silly if you try to. Nope, it does not matter how serious you take yourself, sorry.

  4. While I think server status is a messed up measurement I don't think there is anything untoward about how they label a server. I just think 'Standard' has a wide berth.

nope there is not the same criteria applied to every server when it comes to server caps.

Standard for semi-ghost servers is much, much, much lower than standard for busy servers.

    It's a fact.

  5. Doesn't anybody understand how server populations work?

Bioware not only increased server population caps hundreds of times (and never reduced the standard for 'standard' to make them look less empty) but Bioware also used colossal pressure and heat to fuse many gamers into a single gamer. So when you actually count the players on your server, what you're counting is totally wrong. You need to use new maths to get an accurate count of how much YOU LOVE THIS GAME.

    this this this.

people really need to stop relying on their own eyes. noobs.

  6. merging servers is something you do when its

    heavy

    heavy

    standard

    standard

    light

it's sad how naive you people are.

those words mean nothing. all that matters is cold, hard numbers.

even the ghost servers are on standard because Bioware reduced the server caps on them.

  7. The server numbers are off, I play om 2 servers dark sion and mindtrick, both are listed as heavy, yet mind trick ALWAYS has over 200 in fleet and my guild is always over 20 people, on darth I have never seen the feet over 115 and average is 100 or so. It used to be listed as standard but now darth sion is listed as heavy and I have been there since early access the pop is the same, I think bio is is BSing on the server status

    exactly

semi ghost servers have a low server caps, busy servers have high server caps

  8. Get their names and report them. The few that afked on our server are no longer around.

    nothing happened on ours.

nothing whatsoever. First ticket submitted late december or early january.

yours probably just reached 50 or banked the character until they can transfer to another server

  10. most people who afk don't just stand around afk somewhere, they make use of afk bots that run scripted routes and engage enemies.

afking is bad style, sure. But afk botting should earn people perma bans.

Bioware doesn't care though, after all those players pay their sub.

They do NOTHING at all about the botters. I have reported some of them for over a month now, just today I saw one of the first I reported, by now a centurion afk botter who is about to hit 50 and as soon as the human player takes over again it's GG anyway, because the only thing they are interested in is getting the sub money.

    it's a disgrace really.

  11. Oh he all ready left BioWare on his own. You did a gob job over the last 5 years and you will be missed.

John Watson was the lead combat programmer

not sure what you are trying to hint at with that attempt at sarcasm.

looking at the positions the 3 devs who left held they might as well have been the most competent ones in the whole bunch.

especially the lead concept artist and the senior environment artist. I think we can all unanimously agree that they did a terrific job with this game for sure.

  12. I've also had /who come up with incorrect lists as well. I've had guildies in the fleet and when I /who to look for them, I see them missing.

I'm not trying to say you're wrong, you may very well be on to something, but by what you've said so far I can see legitimate explanations as to why this might be occuring.

you still see people outside the ops group on the map though.

There is no way somebody is in the warzone and neither the map nor /who is catching it.

In regards to you being in queue while an unfilled warzone is going on, may I ask how heavily populated your server is? You might very well be 6 back in a queue list while people are being cycled through, not ever accepting the entry to a WZ pop.

Well it's 1 am here so there are about the same 20-30 people queuing for warzones in the 1-49 bracket right now, don't think that's the issue.

However, the new fix they did to enforce the 8v12 exploits that were going on may have put a kink in the queueing system as well.

In my eyes that's what is going on.

Looking at the (short) history of the game, they usually don't fix something without breaking it somewhere else.

  13. yeah me and my friends have been seeing this in all warzone empire side at least, dont know if it is happening to republic or not, but we would see that there´s always 1 person missing from the group so we would be 7 against 8 even though we heard over ventrilo that ppl were qued up.

Has something to do with auto queing after an warzone, my friends only needed to

leave que and sign up again to get an instan invite, annoying bug. Already reported it but who knows if they actually read what players send them.

thanks for the response! Makes sense I guess, just tried to requeue but didn't get the invite, though someone else now apparently did.

  14. I believe the issue is the person is simply not loaded into the OPS group but they are in the WZ.

Yes, the OPS group has 7 but there is usually an 8th player running around.

    again, not the issue.

simple /who Civil war will tell you who's in the zone.

also I am pretty sure people outside the ops group are still visible on the map.

funnily enough I am just right now chatting with someone who is in a 7:8 huttball while I am waiting in queue :D

something is not right at all.
